I like to pretend the Carnival of Sins tour was Motleys true "farewell"........

Even though MC has been a joke for almost 20 yea4s, "John 5 of Motley Crue" is just sad..........wrong fit musically and image wise, but Nikki was more concerned about getting someone viewed as "contemporary", so he and dimwit Tommy could continue to pretend they are still relevant.

I agree on Carnival of Sins, or Better Live Than Dead as it was called originally. I seem to remember that is what it was promoted as, very briefly in the beginning.

They were without openers on COS as well, at least in the U.S. Even when they came back and did the smaller arenas(when Tommy did his drum solo at the back of the arena, on the floor) it was just them, at least in the U.S.

I forgot about that leg of the tour. Nikki thought those were the new hip bands of the time, so that's what he latched onto. It was Theory of a Deadman and Hinder a few years later on the SOLA tour.
