Interesting idea. Apparently there was no Kingdom Come tribute available....

I just can’t get behind tribute bands… at all. No matter how good they may be.
I recognize that some folks want to “hear those songs played live.” Fine. To each their own.
I got dragged to a Journey tribute last weekend. To be fair, they were really good. For my money, the singer sounded even better than 2025 Arnel. BUT… those aren’t your songs. And I can’t get past that. YMMV

I always put the Rush & Pink Floyd tribute band shows on my calendar with the intention of going, then I bail when the time comes. There's also a couple Fleetwood Mac ones that come through, which I would enjoy, probably.
Is that picture of "Hugo"? If so, I've seen him & yea, he sounds unreal.

Which Fleetwood Mac ones?

Rumors of Fleetwood Mac & Silver Springs, they play the bigger places so I would imagine they are national/international? I want to say they dress up like them, as well.
Tusk & Second Hand News, they play City Winery, which is small.

Ah. I've heard of a couple of those.
I play in one that is fairly big out here around L.A., so just wanted to check it wasn't me me me me me you were talking about

I saw this tour in Seattle with my now wife, I remember it being surprisingly underwhelming.
It didn't help that it was in the Kingdome as the acoustics are not even a consideration there, and we had seats that were pretty far away.
Thinking back, maybe what it was is that it seemed like the vibe got sucked out of the place when some asshat hit Klaus in the throat with a shoe and they promptly cut their show short. Also this must have been my first Van-Hager show, and I just wasn't feeling that at all.
I have seen MUCH better performances from VH (with Dave), Scorpions and Metallica at other times/venues.
That is the only time I've seen Dokken or Kingdom Come actually. I remember Dokken being OK, and Kingdom Come having a big drum sound (must have been Kottak)

I play in a Crue tribute for a few years...
Money was pretty good and played some bigger shows...like bike fests...
People loved it and cheered...
But at the end of the night it was like eating cotton candy...tasted good while eating it, but left with just an empty sugar rush...
I'd rather play originals for 10 people that love what i wrote than a 1000 people cheering for what other people wrote...

I was at that show too, my first and last stadium show. I was 16 and blown away by the whole experience, though I was too young and stupid to know just how good or bad anyone was that night. I bought a recording of the whole show from a bootlegger back then, and tracked them down digitally a couple years ago, though I haven't listened to them.

If you get a chance to see Brit Floyd, go. I catch them every time they are in Milwaukee. They're awesome!

I've never been to Ohio, but is doesn't sound great.
I feel like it it's a decade or two behind.

For sure, that one & "The Australian Pink Floyd Show" seem to be the upper echelon.
