My Half-Assed Faster Pussycat Review

Made my way to The Whiskey last night for the annual Faster Pussycat summer show. Pretty crowded down on the Sunset Strip and it took me a while to find a meter. Got into The Whiskey about 11:10. Had no interest in sitting one of the 7 pay to play bands. Walked in and found a spot on the floor just on the inside of the walkway. It was crowded, but not packed as it has been in the past for these shows. Faster Pussycat came on about 11:30. This has been the best Taime has ever sounded. He looked great except for the Don Dokken Bolero hat. Seems to have really slimmed down, but I am sure tragedy had something to do with that.
Band sounded great. Sam Bam, Danny, and Chad are always great. Kieran Robertson doesn't seem like the best fit, but he plays fine. They brought out Greg Steele for the last few songs. Seems like every time they play the Whiskey Greg has to come show his skills of constantly looking at his amp to try to figure something out. I'm not sure they even plug his guitar in. They played for about 1:25. There was about a 4 minute stoppage for a technical issue, Taime tried to riff and talk to the audience.
Motorbike
Don't Change That Song
Cathouse
Slip Of The Tongue
Like A Ghost
Ain't No Way Around It
NOLA
Nonstop To Nowhere
Poison Ivy
Where There's A Whip THere's A Way
You're So Vain
House Of Pain
Bathroom Wall
Shut Up And Fuck
Babylon
In all a great show. I've seen them 40+ times and always enjoy it. I ended up getting a pick. I didn't even see it coming but felt something hit my shoulder, looked down and there it was. No one else was looking for it so it really must have come out of nowhere.
