Other Side Of The Rainbow
Hole Hearted
Midnight Express
More Than Words (with Led Zeppelin's "Stairway To Heaven" intro)
Cupid's Dead (with Sam Cooke's "Cupid"/"What's The Buzz")

Gary and the band sounded great.

Con was that it was a shorter show/less songs than the show that I saw near Boston in 2023. "Thicker Than Blood" was played at this show and not at the Boston show. The venue, Sun Patio, is good as long as it doesn't rain. It was a large turnout. The venue is a good midsized venue to bridge the gap between Wolf Den and the Mohegan Sun Arena.

Decent setlist. Nothing off of Saudades de Rock though huh? They are one band that could do a full 2 hour show and have every song be a really good one. Glad to hear that Gary sounded good. Not to knock him, but a few of the videos I've seen in the last few years it sounded like he was struggling some. I get it though...he isn't a kid, but yet he still puts on a very physical show (to the dismay of some people). Sadly they are one of the last bands putting out the kind of music I enjoy. Nuno is definitely the last "guitar hero."

I'm glad they got some well deserved recognition with the last album. I couldn't imagine being Nuno during the mid-late 90's being that talented, but shunned by all the dipshits because "wasn't he that More Than Words guy?" That had to have been a frustrating time. Glad the Rhianna thing did well for him too.

I saw them in 2023 near Boston. This was the set list:

Extreme
"Thicker Than Blood" tour ("Six")
Roadrunner (Allston, MA)
8/5/23

#Rebel
Decadence Dance (shortened)/It ('s A Monster)
Rest In Peace
Hip Today
First lp medley: Teacher's Pet/Flesh 'n' Blood/Wind Me Up/Kid Ego/We Will Rock You (first verse and chorus)/Play With Me
Tragic Comic (shortened)/Hole Hearted
Other Side Of The Rainbow
Banshee
Drop Dead Legs (Van Halen cover) (intro)
Cupid's Dead (shortened) ("What's The Buzz")
Am I Ever Gonna Change
Midnight Express
More Than Words
Take Us Alive / That's All Right (Elvis cover)
Flight Of The Wounded Bumblebee
Get The Funk Out

Encore:
Small Town Beautiful (shortened; "Women In Love" intro)/Song For Love (shortened)
Rise

They had played "Take Us Alive" from "Saudades de Rock".

If I made up the setlist I'd have the following:

"Everything Under the Sun: I. Rise 'n Shine"
"Everything Under the Sun: II. Am I Ever Gonna Change"
"Everything Under the Sun: III. Who Cares?"
"Unconditionally"
"Run"
"Flower Man"
"King Of The Ladies"
"Slide"
"Interface"
"Small Town Beautiful" (They played part of it in 2023.)
"Hurricane" (Nuno performed a short bit of it a few times in 2023. He didn't play it at the show that I attended.)
"Beautiful Girls"
"Here's To The Losers"

Here are some vids from Saturday night's show:

That was Extreme show #8 for me. My first time seeing them was about a year before their first lp was released. Loved them ever since. Hopefully after this touring leg, they take a break, then focus on a new cd. Hopefully it won't take as long to put out as "Six".

Gary can have his not so great nights. He was o.k. at the 2023 show I saw. He was very good last night.

I really need to buy Six. I'm not a huge Extreme fan, but they were great when I saw them in 2023, and everything I've heard off the album has been great, especially for a band this far in.

"Six" is worth purchasing. There are some great songs on it.

I'd rank the Extreme cds:

1) "Pornograffitti
2/3) tie between "Saudades de Rock" and "Six"
4) "III Sides To Every Story"
5) "Extreme" (1st lp)
6) "Waiting For The Punchline"

I like Extreme, but IMO the partial or medley version of their songs is beyond fucking annoying.
And, I never understood why the gimmicky/turd of a song "Play With Me" has been a mainstay of their live set, while they simultaneously ignore the rest of the 1st album.

Appreciate the response. Nuno claims they have a good start on the next album. Hopefully that is the case. Have they ever performed the Everything Under The Sun trilogy in it's entirety before?

I hadn't heard of them having done anything on the next studio cd. That's good news if they have started. I do want new material, but if it takes them a while to put out a very good cd, I can wait. I don't want them to put out crap like Mr. Big did on their last few cds. Billy Sheehan had basically no input on the last cd.

They performed "Everything Under The Sun" a few times in 2016.

I don't think they recorded anything cause they're still touring...but Nuno has said that the music for the next album is already written.
