It's more about living with it when you get off-track than earning a right to it. Deletions are coverups and you will always catch more grief for the coverup than for the crime itself. It's a bit disingenuous to claim that you deleted the posts for the good of the board. You did it for your own protection, but it would have been less noticeable if you'd left them than it was by deleting a bunch of posts. That should be obvious by now since this thread has turned to it and there's one in the Lounge too.
