This thread hit home a little bit.

I used to rarely post anywhere other than Hatas. The Lounge was frivolous, boring and inane.

However, battles on the Hatas board were between flamers of merit - people who could actually hold their own. They were fun, hilarious and entertaining.

The random tards that get play here these days (Tim, Rav, Slicer, et. al.) are completely incapable of intelligent flame wars. They are trounced and eviscerated by master flamers, which, while briefly fun, soon plays out.

We just need a good target to get this board up and kicking again.

Well, Baz, you see what I have to work with in the arena of political debate - Ugmo even started a thread on the War Board about how the really smart right wingers are gone, leaving only trolls in their wake. I did try to do what you're trying to do right now when I started a thread calling out random dumbasses who might be good to put up a fight. I encouraged ganging up and trash-talking. It didn't really work out and Kockstar had to come in and save the thing with his own brand of "erotic literature".

I'm sick of the Lickety thing, I think I've been sick of it since May. Finding out that you were totally right about somebody you suspected was a lying king loser is a double-edged sword. It's gratifying but ultimately it means the game is over.

Slicer? I didn't really get into flaming him the first time. His posts were too long and he seemed too depressingly insane for a good funny give and take.
