Jeff "Party" Hardy has been indicted on his drug charges and the case will go to trial. Bad timing for TNA.

Tonight in Orlando, TNA will be taping the next new episode of iMPACT!, scheduled to air next Thursday, January 14th. Monday's 3-hour iMPACT! will be replayed this Thursday night. Here's what is expected at tonight's taping:
-- TNA's 6-sided ring may make its last appearance tonight. There's been talk of the ring being destroyed in some sort of angle tonight with a traditional four-sided ring being brought in for the next batch of tapings on January 18th.
-- Angelina Love is in Orlando and will make her return to TNA tonight.
-- Even though we saw it last night on iMPACT!, the main event of the TNA Genesis PPV is still scheduled to be TNA Champion AJ Styles defending against Kurt Angle. That match will likely be set up tonight.
-- Scott Steiner is expected to work tonight's taping. He was backstage at Monday's live show.
Best news evar!!! I might start watching again if that happens...

I have been a fan of Ric Flair since the early 1980's but I would hate to see him get in the ring and wrestle again. He had the best send off in history and it would be a shame to see him disrespect that.
Hopefully he will play an advisor/manager role to A.J. Styles and stay out of the ring.

THIS i would have no problem with, even with him saying that he would never work for anyone besides WWE. A man has to pay alimony somehow, and i cant take that away from him...but i really hope he doesnt tarnish anything more then he already has with those awful matches him and Hogan had down under last year.paule5150 wrote:I have been a fan of Ric Flair since the early 1980's but I would hate to see him get in the ring and wrestle again. Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
Spike TV’s TNA Impact! pro wrestling show set a viewership record during last night’s three-hour special featuring Hulk Hogan, but failed to pin down more viewers than pro wrestling rival WWE’s Monday Night Raw series.
TNA Impact! drew 2.2 million viewers for its Jan. 4 special featuring the ring return of former WWE star Hogan, easily outdistancing the former high mark of 1.9 million viewers the series set in April 2008, according to Spike TV officials. The first hour of the special averaged 2.5 million viewers, according to Spike.
TNA Impact! however was no match for USA Network’s popular WWE Monday Night Raw series. Raw drew an average of 5.5 million viewers from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m., well above the 2 million viewers the TNA Impact! special averaged during the same time period on Spike, according to Nielsen data.
Quarter hours are in for last night’s three-hour LIVE Impact. Looks like when Raw went Live, TNA lost a lot of viewers. On a bright note the NWO Reunion segment was the highest rated with a 1.88.

The best: Jeff Nero Hardy.

Hardy is the most popular wrestler in the world right now (with the possible exception of Cena) At some WWE shows, the Fucking VIDEOS of Jeff get the pop of the night. His merch sells out at shows.I think Hardy will get off in court. There is no way he is any kind of a drug dealer and he was more than likely set up. For anyone who brings up Hardy's first TNA stint, well, TNA was barely on SPIKE back then and Jeff's heart wasn't in it.Also, Hardy was nowhere near the mega-star he is now.
Anyone wondering why Jeff jumped other than the schedule, should go back to the Sept PPV when CM Punk (at the direction of Vince, I assume) made a crack about Jeff's arrest. Jeff was legit pissed.
This signing trumps RVD,Kennedy or anyone else TNA could hope to sign. I bet he is gonna get an insane percentage of his merch sales.
Fuck all the haters, Jeff Hardy is the best. I say let him beat AJ in February for the belt.

Seeing Hardy was the highlight of the night for me on the TNA show. I don't think he is a dealer, but Im pretty sure if I put my body through the shit he did, I would need some pain pills as well.
I hope he does well in TNA.

The only people who really dislike Hardy are the ROH uber fans who still think wrestling should be treated as a sport. At WWE shows, you never hear Hardy getting the boos that Cena does. From kids to adults, men and women, Hardy has a connection with fans that very few wrestlers seem to have.
As further proof that Vince is pissed about this:

On Smackdown this week, Matt Hardy does the J.O.B. to Festus

Don't want to jump to conclusions, but maybe those rumors of him possibly asking for his release were true after all? And another thing, it is kinda strange that every time something happens concerning Jeff, Matt ends up being taken off of tv or losing in every possible way imaginable. I don't blame him a bit if he wants to get out of there.Angry Jew wrote:The only people who really dislike Hardy are the ROH uber fans who still think wrestling should be treated as a sport. (1)I like Jef Hardy. And signing him up is a big coup for TNA.But very poor judgement.I would have waited after Jeff trial date.Oh by the way Jeff. You mad at WWE for making a remark?Um dude, you should be mad at yourself for keeping all of that shit AND getting busted!
(2)Too many debuts for one night. One of the best parts of Nitro was guessing who was going to show up next.In one night Hulk,Eric B,Orlando Jordan,The Nasty Boys,Ric Flair,Val Venis,X-Pac,Scott Hall,Jeff Hardy, and Shannon Moore?Waaay too many debuts.
(3)Is it me or did Bret "The Hitman"Hart got a big belly?
and one more thing,
(4)I have a feeling that Rob Van Dam is getting phone calls from Florida and Stanford.

TOO many debuts on TNA for sure. And so much for AJ saying that Val Venis & The Nastys were only there for comedy and wouldn't actively wrestle. Might want to check the spoilers for the next Impact. Looks like both Venis and the NB are entering into active programs in TNA...

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
The Nasty Boys VS. The Dudleys is a dream match. The only problem is that dream is from 1995. Val Venis is cool,if he can still wrestle and I don't really have an opinion on Orlando Jordan. Hogan and Bischoff know what brought down WCW and if TNA is successful, I am sure they stand to profit, so it is in their best interests for the company to do well. For anyone who think Hall,Nash, etc.killed WCW,look up Jamie Kellner and get back to me.
I am no TNA nutswinger, believe me, but Jeff Hardy is my favorite wrestler (along with Matt Hardy and HBK) so I am hoping that Jeff can increase the visibility of TNA to his loyal fans from WWE.

You can kiss TNA goodbye... Enjoy it while it lasts..
As for Kellner... WCW was in a financial bind... and the ratings were in the shitter... The writers (hmm.. wonder who they were) had made the show so NOT family oriented (and so boring with all the NWO BS and Bischoff taking up half the show running his mouth) that TNT and TBS could not get sponsors to advertise anymore.
What exactly was he suppose to do?
Lose his job and compromise the networks so that Nash and Bitchoffboy could take home big paychecks?
Kellner made the decision based on business.. WCW was a failing show.. and just like any other failing show, it got cancelled.
WCW was not bringing in enough money to justify the $40,000 a month those at the top were paying themselves.. even with Bitchboyoffhisfuckingrocker offering to buy the company out, Turner Network could not financially carry it long enough for it to "possibly, maybe" become profitable again.
That wouldn't make any sense for the company.
I'm sure the network knew that even if Bitchboy had control, it would still be the same bullshit. So why would they bother?

COMING SOON: 15 MINUTES WITH BOOBOO STEWART
"Twilight" movie star to debut new column at TNAwrestling.com
Next week, TNAwrestling.com will debut a new interview-based column to be written by Booboo Stewart, one of the stars of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" (coming to theaters this summer). The 15 year old teen sensation is taking Hollywood by storm and was recently named as the star to watch in 2010 by Twist Magazine. We are excited to have Booboo aboard as he is said to be the next big thing and is also a huge fan of professional wrestling.
Since he was 3, Booboo has always been one who loves action as he began training in karate and several years later, he and his two of his sisters (Maegan and Fivel) went on to be inducted in to the Jr. Black Belt Hall of Fame as well as all three winning World championships in all Divisions two successive years.
Booboo found his love for wrestling when at the age of 5 he would accompany his father, former pro wrestler Nils Stewart, to a wrestling training center in Mission Viejo, CA. He was doing backdrops off the ropes by the age of 6.
Booboo started in the film industry at the age of 9 with a small part in a film his father and sister Maegan were working on called Skeleton Man. In a short time he was working steadily landing such roles as a recurring character on Everybody Hates Chris, working as a stunt double for the character Beowulf in the hit film "Beowulf" and became the most working young male model in the business. At the age of 12, Booboo expanded his career by receiving a record deal with Walt Disney Records and toured with Miley Cyrus, The Jonas Brothers, The Cheetah Girls and others.
In 2009, Booboo won the most coveted role available to young men -- playing Seth Clearwater in the incredibly successful Twilight Saga. His first movie in the series (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) comes out this summer. In recent months, he has been gracing the pages of all the teen magazines and 2010 looks to be an incredible year for this rising superstar.
This past October, Booboo attended TNA Bound for Glory in Irvine, California, his first live TNA Wrestling event, and was hooked. He enjoyed the show so much that he wanted to find a way to become more involved with TNA and thus, 15 Minutes with Booboo Stewart was born. His first interview will be with TNA World Heavyweight Champion “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles.
Check back this coming week for the debut of Booboo's column!

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
finally got to see the replay for TNA last night. I saw the 1st hour on monday night and then changed it to raw. Watching the whole show, I thought overall TNA was horrible. Like i said before, it had that shitty wcw saturday night/thunder feel to it under the tna colors. Some thoughts
-They really need to get rid of that 6 sided ring. It makes TNA look cheap and bush league. its also really hard on the eyes.
-I figured Bischoff and Hogan would rehash old wcw storylines and i guess I was right. NWO 2010 is running around tna with hall/nash/ and x-pac. same old shit..That nwo remake song is horrible
-Sting is still up in the rafters like he was in WCW. Sting really needs to drop the "crow" gimmick. He's been milking that crow gimmick since 1996 and it looks pretty silly nowadays.
- TNA needs to stop airing segments of fans talkin shit about the wwe.. it makes tna look desperate.
- Jeff Jarrett sucks. He has no business being a company's world champion..
- TNA bringing in the nasty boys and val venis is pretty lame. I guess brutus beefcake, roddy piper, psycho sid, and lex luger are coming back soon.
- I like Ric Flair but it sucks that he will piss away the great sendoff the wwe gave him a few years ago. No other wrestler has ever been treated to such an amazing farewell in the history of wrestling. what a shame
-wow i didn't realize mick foley was still around. I didn't think he would ever work with eric bischoff again
-there were some bright spots. Obviously Kurt angle and AJ styles put on a great match.
-The signing of Jeff Hardy is a pretty big deal for TNA. I'm not a fan of Jeff Hardy but he does have a fanbase and his signing makes more sense than bringing in guys like the nasty boys and val venis.
-TNA could work if they knew how to balance the old guys with the new guys but i don't believe hogan, russo, or bischoff know how to do that. They can't create new stars. Its wcw all over again with hogan, flair, nash, hall, x-pac, sting, bischoff, steiner, and jeff jarrett. just add 2 more egos in with kurt angle and mick foley ... I figure history will repeat itself
-WWE does a better job using their older talent to create new stars. Every few years the wwe will elevate or create 3 or 4 stars big enough to carry the company. WWE did it with the rock, stone cold, mankind, and triple h during the late 90's. Kurt Angle, Benoit, Brock Lesner and Eddie Guerrero in the early 2000's and now John Cena, Randy Orton, and Batista. Its something wcw could never do with all the egos in their lockeroom and that is the main reason why wcw failed in the end.

Can't say I dislike it, don't really notice it.ozzyrulz777 wrote:I must be the only one who likes the six sided ring.
Re-watched that AJ Styles, Angle match today. That was one of the better matches I've seen period, whether PPV or tv.
Where's CuntOfManson been, figured he be all over this board.

So what's the spoiler/storyline concerning Bret Hart? That was pretty cool to see.

Bret signed a deal though Mania, he obviously can't work a match due to his concussion from Goldberg and then his stroke a few years later so I guess he will be having a street fight with Vinnie Mac @ Mania where Bret will take very few bumps. I'd rather see them do Bret/Taker vs. HBK/Vince,that way Bret can pin Shawn and Taker keeps his Mania streak going and works the majority of the match.AcillateM wrote:So what's the spoiler/storyline concerning Bret Hart? Where's Izzy?

If it wasn't for that piece of shit Goldberg, Bret would have returned to the WWE when Vince bought WCW and we would have seen another HBK vs.Bret match.
Goldberg was always a careless fuck in the ring.
