What a day!!
First Butler advances to the final game and then Hopkins takes out Roy Jones Jr. I know Roy is way past his prime but Hopkins is even older and I always wanted him to whip Roy. I think if the rematch would have gone down years ago Bernard could have still won. Hopkins has always been a favorite and one of the few fighters I still follow.

At their best,Hopkins would never of beaten Jones.
Jones would of been too quick to allow Hopkins
to make the fight messy.
Jones at his best was one of the best 5 fighters
that ever lived.

Re: What a day!!
Jones was an awesome fighter but I like the more scrappy guys. The first fight wasn't that one sided. I don't remember Jones making Hopkins look stupid like he did other guys. I think Hopkins could have beaten him as early as 96' or 97'. I have heard the "at their best argument" too many times and you never know what would have happened. Jones' best sure didn't last too long and Hopkins fought way better competition for a longer period of time.Cyber Spirit wrote:uncle-remus wrote:First Butler advances to the final game and then Hopkins takes out Roy Jones Jr. I know Roy is way past his prime but Hopkins is even older and I always wanted him to whip Roy.
