I saw TNA Lockdown last night........I thought it was a great PPV. Angle vs. Anderson was one of the best matches I have ever seen, and I'm watching Impact right now........so far I think its been a pretty good show as well.

Putting the belt on RVD was a surprise, maybe Heymann is consulting.

Impact was fairly entertaining, though the push of Rob Terry seemed a little out of place.

RVD now has the pressure of returning TNA to its glory days with 1.0-1.2 ratings? can he do it? or will Superstars and NXT continue its winning methods, of actual entertainment

TNA thinking...
Put the belt on RVD, next week start decension between Jeff Hardy & RVD, the week after that the grudge match between the two for TNA title on wIMPACT...
Typical ok booking decision closely followed by a badly planned hot-shotted piece of shit booking joke...

Hope I'm wrong.

No I just have a soft spot in my heart for the old ECW wrestlers.

2800 in a 4000 venue, most wrestling sites have said that
for all the legends. guys that lost there flavor decades ago, dudes that will never get called up to the "show", and in a huge wrestling city.

not so well, but what did TNA expect

Well...it's not terrible. I can remember seeing a live Smackdown about 5 years ago and there was probably less than 5000 in a 20,000 seat arena. They "upgraded" all tickets to the side of the arena facing the hard camera. The hard camera side and upper tier were totally empty. But damn if I didn't watch it back on TV and they made it look like a huge audience with the camera work...

Ha,Flair showed up at the hotel after the match with his hair still bloody. He obviously didn't wanna stop for pics. We were about 8 rows back on the floor by the rail. I couldn't really see for the first few matches cause the crowd was so hot that our entire side of the floor was standing, including some real tall dudes.
TNA has gone from PV only to going against RAW in only about 8 years. Overseas they beat RAW in some markets. Can they compete with abillion $ company? Not really but it is a fun alternative and it could be enjoyed by more people if they would just stop picking it apart so much. Meltzer has reported that Russo may step down as head writer (he'd still be involved though) and that Heyman might be brought in. Normally I'd call bullshit but Meltzer is Meltzer.

A little more than 3,000 were at the PPV I'd say. The top pops were Hardy,Angle,Hogan and Flair. Hardy got a monster pop when his music played the first time and then Sting was booed loudly when it was revealed that he was the one who took out Hardy in the back. The amount of Hardy signs/shirts in the crowd was nuts. The guy is so over ,it isn't even funny.
The crowd was loud as hell for some matches(RVD/Beer Money opening match) and dead during others (Moore/Kaz/Cide). I haven't watched the PPV yet at home.

WWE spring cleaning is underway, and according to PWInsider.com, the following names have been released from WWE today:

Shelton Benjamin (It's possible that his deal is up and they aren't coming to new terms)

Mickie James

Katie Lea Burchill

Kung Fu Naki

Jimmy Wang Yang

Slam Master J
_______________________________________________________
Credit: F4WOnline.com

The release of Mickie James isn't being considered that big of a surprise since WWE hasn't been happy with her for quite some time. Between the company having issues with her weight (the "Piggie James" storyline was allegedly done to send her a message) and her plans to do a country album, the writing seemed to be on the wall.

According to Dave Meltzer, the incident that "broke the camel's back" was when, during the European tour, she arrived late for the bus on more than one occasion, holding up travel.

Mickie James posted the following on Twitter:

“Awe… Thank you James Gang! I just want to say its been a beautiful journey… Wwe has been a childhood dream come true & I have loved every step… There is not a moment I would change for the world… It breaks my heart but the world doesn’t stop turning.. WWE superstar Mark Henry was arrested and issued an "adult caution" following an incident that occurred last weekend at The Hilton in Belfast, Ireland.

"I was trying to get as many signatures as possible on the card and my collectors book," WWE
fan James McClay told the Derry Journal. "Mark Henry was abusive and ignorant but I got his signature and walked away. Suddenly he threw a drink around me from behind.

"I turned around to see him stand and square up to me, suddenly John Cena and Randy Orton grabbed his arms and held him back. I honestly thought I was in one of the plot lines back stage. I felt like I was watching this happen to someone else. Suddenly Chavo Guerrero piped up egging Mark Henry on, that really annoyed me as I am a fan of his. I thought this is going to get really bad as all these wrestlers were on their feet."

According to McClay, Henry was offering to fight: "He kept saying 'Where I'm from you do something when someone throws a drink around you.' "He kept calling me a 'little punk bitch.'"

Dunno if you guys have seen this yet, but Deadspin does a little tribute titled Dead Wrestler of The Week, where "The Masked Man" pins a nice tribute (and includes famous and obscure match footage!) in honor of the fallen spandex wearing warriors of the squared circle. (It's also the best thing Deadspin has going on atm, being that Magary is hit-or-miss and Sussman ceased with live blogging)

Good riddance. Batista has nowhere left to go.

His most recent gimmick has been his best, unfortunately for him.

Oh, and no one got better matches out of him than 'Taker...
