Fedor Taps Out.

Post by VinnieKulick »

Fedor loses tonight. First loss in over ten years, and he didn't look too pleased. Via his translator he said "I have one more fight in the USA". So, he may be going back to Russia for good, OR maybe it's a ruse to get to the UFC.

Fabricio Verdum. Legend Killer.

I'm still in disbelief. I like Werdum, but I wasn't giving him much of a shot.

Lesnar would have killed him. If he didn't fucking puss out.

He's a piece of shit.

His fans are, as I've as I've always said... a bunch of dumb cunts.

Exactly, that's why he's avoided the UFC. He would get his ass kicked. He faced the slobs who washed out of the UFC and made quick work of them. He fought Matt fucking Lindland for fucks sake. The jackass does not want to face the people who are on top today. He was great 5 years ago but the game has passed him by and he knows it.
You can't blame a guy for milking his position.
You made your point,he is done.

At his best he would of beaten Lesnar
as well as just about everybody else.

I saw Dana's Twitter post. He put that up maybe 5 minutes after Fedor lost. He's got to be loving that a former UFC'er beat Fedor.

Ah, no worries...just give 'em time to pump Cris Cyborg full of more HGH and she'll be taking on the big boys and ruling the roost over there, haha.

You guys are talking as if Werdum beat the living shit out of Fedor, he got caught in a triangle, shit happens, he was overconfident, that does not necessarily means he is done or can't fight worth of shit.

I haven't seen him fight lately, so can't really say if he is as good as he used to.

I'll agree that he is no match for Lesnar.

Shamrock's retirement was ridiculous. He spent 15 minutes talking about how great he was and taking credit for MMA. He beat up Tito 10 years ago and has ridden that for a decade. He beat up a few cans like Baroni. Otherwise he's been a joke. He was Fedor's role model for riding a few glory years to a big pay day.
Shamrock had some epic fights back in the day. Epically boring, I mean. Against Royce Gracie, or that guy with the moustache, Dan Severin or however you spell it, holy shit, I'm glad the rounds are only five minutes now, cause that guy could dry hump an opponent for hours.

He slowed down. Not as much as Mirko, but still, he's considerably slower.

You misspelled "He voluntarily went into a Brazilian Ju Jitsu black belt's guard, arms first".

You're thinking of KEN Shamrock. Not Frank.

Fedor finally fought somebody on a great level, and it just showed the mistakes that Fedor makes on the ground. Werdum is somebody that I actually know, and I did an interview in Dallas for ESPN Radio and I called it. I knew he was going to beat him. I just felt that once Fedor fought someone with great talent, he would finally get his loss. You can’t believe the hype, as they say.

Has he ever been tested? Maybe once or twice? You can’t say you’re the best in the world if you haven’t competed against everybody in the world, and he hasn’t. And I think by him not coming to the UFC put a big (stain) on his record. You can have a company back you and say you’re the best guy in the world, but until you compete against the best guys in the world, you’re not that guy. There’s a lot more things going on behind the scenes, and it’s not just Fedor making those decisions. Fedor is fighting for his country. But it is what it is, and it just proves that he’s not invincible and that he’s not one of the top heavyweights in the world. I think he’s a decent fighter overall, but I was very proud of Werdum, though. That’s what comes with hard work.

I didn’t think he’d submit him that quickly, but once Fedor gets on top of you, he gets kind of messy and (throws) looping punches, and a lot of triangles and arm locks come into position. Werdum’s a big guy and he’s got some great triangles. When I rolled with him, he got me in a triangle, too. He’s a big guy who moves well and his jiu-jitsu game just shows how good he really is. He’s a former Abu Dhabi submission champ.

(Fedor’s wins over “Cro Cop” and Nogueira) were a long time ago. That was when he was in his prime, I guess you can say. He hasn’t fought anybody on the UFC’s level, and the best guys are in the UFC. Werdum was in the UFC. They let him go, and he signed with Strikeforce and I think it’s kind of bad, you know, because Werdum is still a young guy who’s coming up and still getting better and better by the month.

You fight him Tito.Easy in hindsight to say these things.

I read Tito's post, and I really think he posted that to angle for a fight with Fedor in the UFC, or even out of it if Tito gets dropped before Fedor eventually signs.

It would make sense. They're both the same weight when Tito isn't cutting, and it's the biggest fight Tito would be able to get since he's not a contender and he doesn't want to fight Liddell again. Also, Tito has nothing to lose if he loses to the GOAT.

There is so much bullshit in Tito's comments that it surpassed his usual douchebagery.

He is so desperate to have the attention he used to without putting face or fights.

Werdum the best BJJ grappler? please, he was practically done after his fight with Junior Dos Santos, he has to kneel in broken glass and then lick the blood stains off it to have caught Fedor.

LOL WUT?

2X BJJ World Champ
2X ADCC HW Champ
Earned Black Belt in only 3 years I believe

I would put him below guys like Jacare, Roger, and Marcelo Garcia, but Werdum is no slouch...who at HW has better grappling?
