It's all about ratings. People want to see Brock, and the PPV numbers prove it. And in terms of his coaching abilty, I imagine he is gonna surround himself with top level assistants, so previous coaching experience won't be a factor. Besides, he can't be any worse than Rampage, Shamrock, etc....

Last strikeforce card was awesome. Check it out if you haven't seen it.

Amazed that Diaz submitted the other guy so fast once it got to the ground. He is a punk, but would love to see him back in the ufc.

Great night for bjj. Jacare and Roger Gracie are fucking deadly on the ground, I'd love to see them fight after Roger gets more experience.

I could see daley beating diaz after watching that fight. Wish nicky would have just signed with the UFC, oh well.
Its hard to take Roger gracie serious as an mma fighter. Hopefully he dedicates himself towards MMA more, whether he does or doesnt strikeforce is a great fit for him.

Re: The Never Ending MMA thread
I'm glad Diaz beat Cyborg, but I honestly think his chin helps him win a lot of fights. He's a cumulative effect puncher, his punching seems sloppy to me, and he appears to want to win his fights standing up. On the ground, he's dangerous, but standing up, someone should be beating the hell out of him.
On another note, Walker looked better at 48 than I did at 28. Bastard.

Re: The Never Ending MMA thread
I would take Diaz over Daley. Diaz is smart and keeps coming. Once fight goes to ground Diaz takes Daley out. He got hit by some shots & kicks to the leg and didnt wince.KillDevilHill wrote:I could see daley beating diaz after watching that fight. Wish nicky would have just signed with the UFC, oh well.

This is a fight I would like to see. Daley has been talking a lot of smack in an attempt to get a fight with Diaz. Diaz doesnt seem too interested. I'm sure if the money was right he would do it.

Did anyone watch the weigh ins? All I can say is HOLY SHIT to the Silva/Belfort staredown. I can't fucking wait.

Anderson Silva thinks he has to act this way to make it an entertaining fight. I was surprised how much he was booed when he entered & interviewed.
It's going to be another good night of fights.

Anderson has been getting booed like that for about 2 years now, at least.

Predictions for the big three fights for UFC 126:
Anderson Silva via Submission in Round 3
Forrest Griffin via Split Decision
Jon Jones via TKO in Round 2

Jon Jones via TKO in Round 2
Re: The Never Ending MMA thread
I'm never any good at making predictions. I only know who I want to win.NunoFreak wrote:Predictions for the big three fights for UFC 126:

With that being said-
I hope Silva gets knocked out (doubt it)
I could care less about Griffin/Franklin fight. They were both humilated by Silva. My guess is decesion.
Jones will probably win. I wont be surprised if the other guy is taken out in the first round.

I've got money on Griffin and Belfort.
I expect to break even.

Re: The Never Ending MMA thread
Not that great of a night.
Very predictable if you ask me.
Although that Silva kick was a monster.
Dana White has got to make sure Silva & GSP get it on.
Can you imagine the money that sucker will make!?!
Who else is there for Silva to fight?
Franklin/Griffin fight was waste of time and space.
However I was impressed with Jones. Didnt think he could
submit Bader the way he did. Very impressive!
Silva vs GSP has got to happen!

Great end to that Silva fight. Outta nowhere, haha.

Yeah, it was kind of a slow night other than the Jones fight and that kick by Silva. That was fucking solid. Agree that we have to see Silva versus GSP soon.

Re: The Never Ending MMA thread
Sort of nuts Jones was offered the Shogun title match 6 weeks from now. They better hope no kind of medical suspension comes up after the fight.
You also have to think that might have taken the wind out of the sails from Franklin & Forrest that the winner of that fight, who has a more recognizable name, wouldn't get the shot at stepping in.

I thought Anderson was trollin me last night when he mentioned Steven Segal and now I see this. This Silva/Segal association is hilarious.

Silva's next opponent better hire Chuck Norris.

Dana is just going with who is popular now and who has a better chance. Watching Griffin/Franklin made me realize that for both of them, their time is pretty much gone. I can't see either of them being involved in a title match again.

just read somewhere that Scott Coker already made statements that Fedor could be an alternate...what kind of bullshit is that? He lost...if del rosario or griggs get passed over and he gets put back in this competition aint worth a shit

Seeing Fedor get destroyed like that and then talking about retiring was heartbreaking.
I thought Arlovski was dead. He was looking really good leading up to the KO, too.

Re: The Never Ending MMA thread
AA looks fucking great in almost every fight he gets murdered in, I hate seeing him get killed like that.
I actually thought Fedor would get UDed by being on his back or get one of his flash KO's, and i feel like a big dummy for not throwing down any cash the fight.
His reign came to a hault as devastating as a car crash
I think strikeforce takes a big blow with him being out, but if they support the tournament I think they will turn out alright.
I dont even mind coker saying they would take fedor in a reserve figh, not fair to others, but there are three of them, not exactly in their odds they were going to end up in tournament.
Or fuck it take the three reserve fight winners and fedor and have a four man tourny

If I was Fedor, I'd cut to 205. Take on Anderson Silva. Could you imagine???
