Angry Jew wrote:Last night's heavily hyped episode of TNA iMPACT! drew a 1.36 (1.4) cable rating (not including the overrun), the program's highest mark since January 4th, 2010. The first hour drew a 1.32, while the second hour garnered a 1.41. Impact drew 1.8 million viewers over the course of two hours. The show's overrun featuring Sting vs. Jeff Hardy drew a 1.48.

Here are the quarter hour numbers:

Q1 - 1.52 (1.5) rating - In-ring segment featuring Dixie Carter, Hulk Hogan, Immortal and Fortune

Q2 - 1.26 (1.3) rating - Backstage segments featuring Bart Scott, Immortal, The Jarretts, AJ Styles, Kazarian, Matt Hardy, Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff; Beer Money, Inc. vs. Gunner and Murphy

Q3 - 1.32 (1.3) rating - Beer Money, Inc. vs. Gunner and Murphy; backstage segments featuring The Jarretts and Angelina of Jersey Shore; Velvet Sky vs. Sarita, post-match with The Shore and Angelina

Q4 - 1.17 (1.2) rating - In-ring segment featuring The Shore, Angelina, Sarita and The Beautiful People; backstage segments featuring Mr. Anderson, Eric Young, Orlando Jordan, Jeff Jarrett, Ric Flair, Kurt Angle and Hulk Hogan

Q5 - 1.36 (1.4) rating - The Jarretts' wedding; backstage segments with Hulk Hogan, Jeff Hardy, Eric Bischoff and The Jarretts; Scott Steiner vs. Rob Terry

Q6 - 1.43 (1.4) rating - Scott Steiner vs. Rob Terry; backstage segments with Ric Flair, Bart Scott and Kurt Angle; Matt Morgan vs. Hernandez

Q7 - 1.37 (1.4) rating - backstage segment with Hulk Hogan and Mr. Anderson; The Jarretts' wedding

Q8 - 1.42 (1.4) rating - The Jarretts' wedding, limo shot of boots, Jeff Hardy and Sting ring entrances

Overrun - 1.48 (1.5) rating - Sting vs. Jeff Hardy

As seen above, the show never dropped below a 1.2 and maintained their audience throughout the entire show. As noted earlier, TNA and SpikeTV are both very happy with that number considering the show went head-to-head with a UFC event and the season finale of The Jersey Shore, which did a huge number. Those two shows share the same demographic as TNA and are their main competition on Thursday nights.
It was a good show, the wrestling was ok, but what happened to the X-Division? I feel like there's very little left of the old school style TNA.

WWE is publically traded on the schlock market, Vince's jizzbucket/mother of his mostly disgusting children is/was running for public office and people with really small brains that don't actually think the booking has royally sucked for 10+ years can't really hang with seeing anything rated above PG 13 except... chair fights, cage matches, chick violence, cat fights, stripper gimmick "matches, almost nonstop fake fantasy video game violence and over 4hrs of cable televised HATE every week...

TNA wrestler Jeff Hardy announced this afternoon on his Twitter account that he and longtime girlfriend Beth Britt were married today.

The two met back in 1999 and have been in a relationship ever since.

In August 2010, Hardy announced that Britt was pregnant with the couple's first child, a daughter, who was born on October 28.

Beth Britt also confirmed the news on her Twitter account, along with a picture of her and Jeff holding hands and showing off their wedding bands.

Congratulations to the new married couple!

I just read that Sir Oliver Humperdink was put in a hospice a few days ago and is not doing well at all. There was a report out that he died yesterday but it was proven to be false. I don't know if there is any old time rasslin' fans here right now, but thought I would pass it on.

Former WWE superstar Dave Batista has been training for his professional mixed martial arts debut since leaving the company last year. According to MMAWeekly.com, Batista’s MMA debut is currently scheduled to take place in May – and the fight will not take place in the United States.

Several promotions have been trying to sign Batista for his first MMA fight, most notably Scott Coker’s Strikeforce promotion, but sources close to Batista have revealed the UK-based BAMMA promotion is the front runner and could sign Batista soon. BAMMA has an upcoming show (“BAMMA 6″) scheduled for May 21st Wembley Arena.

Batista reportedly has a movie scheduled to begin shooting in September and wants to have his first fight before then.

PWInsider.com is reporting that sources within TNA are claiming the main event of tonight's TNA Victory Road PPV was cut short due to concern over Jeff Hardy's "state of mind" prior to the PPV. It's also being speculated that Sting may not have agreed to work a long match with Hardy given his condition.

Several readers have sent in word that after the PPV went off the air, and the live crowd began to chant "this is bullshit," Sting could be seen at the entrance ramp mouthing "I agree, I agree."

You know, I try to like TNA, I really do. I enjoyed the live show I saw a few weeks ago.

But it's almost like they WANT to fail. They bring in the most tired ass team in history (Bischoff/Hogan) and keep Russo in writing. They invest so much time and effort into a drug addict who can't keep his shit straight to do his damn job safely and cleanly.

It's a mess. Ever since last year, they've fallen steadfast into Failville.

The Dudley Boys should have been let go. Waste of time.

The Hardys should have been let go. Neither of 'em give enough of a shit to keep themselves from blowing it for everyone.

The X Division? All flushed. You've got an iconic division that's sinking without much of a focus on them. Kazarian is a great worker, but is he going to beat on Robbie E. every week? Fuck.

Bring back the six-sided ring and shitcan the WCW powerpoison. If the rumors are true, Hogan's leaving soon. Thank God.

I dig TNA a lot because it reminds me of the old wcw days and that's probably why i'm drawn into it. Hogan should leave, kinda sick of the whole ordeal with Immortal.
Sting's champ and wants to take out all of Immortal. Welcome to 1998 :)

Sting, Hardy,Angle,Flair,Hogan,Eric B you belong with Dixie Dumbass

thats why TNA has always sucked, "they" all think its simple what Vince does.

1 year ago The Miz was 1st out at Mania, Del Rio was in the farm system. Now both headline Wrestlemainia 70,000 strong

What a fucking joke. 1 kick, 2 headlocks, 2 punches, and a Scorpion Death Drop, with NO defense from Hardy.

I bet Sting is really feeling like he made the right choice now.

Hardy will be dead by year's end. He's on a fast track down-the-drain.

Really fucking sad...

Does TNA at least break even financially? I can't see how they would, given the shitty PPV buyrates, low TV ratings and wasted money on hasbeens and rejects.
Dixie's daddy's got to be tired of flushing money down the shitter on this horribly run "organization".

They probably have a good deal with Spike that pays for most of the costs. They can't make much on the PPVs and merch.

He's not taking uppers, he's a downers/sedatives/tranquilizers fan. He's not high or energized... he is exhausted, that's why he blows up so easily.

Ever try to move fast or have any coordination when on pills from a doctor or dentist... or from being just another always at risk of OD pill head like this board is fucking littered with?

Following reports that TNA star Jeff Hardy has been sent home from TNA due to his "condition" backstage at Sunday's Victory Road pay-per-view, Jeff's brother Matt has issued his first public comments regarding the situation.

Matt tweeted on Monday afternoon:

"Well, today has been quite the interesting day to say the least. And yes, Jeff is fine. I'm (definitely) fine. Just sore from busting my ass last night."

As previously reported, Jeff Hardy tweeted on Sunday night that "Things are op," which apparently means "things are okay
