I honestly think the Reds are pretty much a lock for the NL Central again this year. Milwaukee are supposed to end up being their main competition, but even with Greinke, I just don't see it. One pitcher is just not gonna be enough IMO. Of course, they'll be getting Hart back as well, but still, I'm just simply not buying Milwaukee being a serious contender. And the Cardinals, if they don't improve A LOT, they are going to end up being a joke. Hell, the Cubs will finish ahead of them if they keep playing at the rate they are currently. And hell, even the damn Pirates are tied w/Chicago for 2nd currently (I *think* so anyways - last I looked, I think both were 1.5 games back).

It's DEFINITELY the Reds division to lose.

If it ain't the Cubs, I just want whoever repesents the division to not get their ass kicked in the first round again. When's the last time the division winner won a postseason series?

I highly, highly doubt it will be the Cubs though, who really knows, I guess stranger things have happened, but I don't see it. I just think it's going to be the Reds again, honestly, unless Milwaukee does end up getting hot and giving them a real competition, I don't even think it's going to be close. I could be wrong, hell, the fucking Pirates could end up winning it it's baseball....strange shit happens in a 162 game season. Injuries occur. Players go into unexplainable, horrendous slumps. Pitchers go from being unhittable to being unable to get a batter out. It can truly be a strange game. Hell, look at the Red Sox thus far this year - before the season began, I heard I don't know HOW MANY "talking-head-know-it-alls" saying shit like "just go ahead and get them fitted for their World Series Championship rings now" and a lot of stupid shit like that and look at 'em right now. There's a LOONNNGGGG way to go and they very well stil might end up getting those rings....but anyways.....

As for your question as to who was the last NL Central champion to win in the postseason, I don't know the answer to that. My best guess would prob. be the Cardinals. And if the Phillies big 4 pitching phenoms pitch the way they certainly can, they will stand a VERY good chance that not only winning the NL, but winning the WS as well, as they have some pretty damn good offensive production as well. VERY solid team there w/out a doubt.

However, I am VERY interested in seeing how well Homer Bailey and Johnny Cueto pitch once they return from the DL. And if they can get Massett straightened out and the rest of their bullpen keeps on pitching well, The Reds are just simply going to be extremely tough to beat.

I'll tell you a team in the AL I am VERY surprised by right now is Cleveland Wow! I expected another horrendous season out of the those guys (and it still very well might end up being just that), but thus far, those guys are (to quote Charlie Sheen) "winning"

Baseball is a game of adjustments, stats and strategy. "Gut" managers don't adjust and make the neccesary changes, because they have a "feeling" ( Grady Little 2003 ). They don't play pitching matchups ( game 6 '02 Rodrigues, Eyre, Worrell ), watch pitch counts, actually Dusty has no fucking idea how to handle starters or relievers and don't even try to get him to understand the concept of LOOGY, he's had winning teams because he managed in tremendously weak Divisions. Hendry had to trade players away to get Dusty to play the young call-ups.

If I was a Cincinatti fan I would hope and pray that he gets no where near Aroldis Chapman.

He had a resposnsibilty to go calm down his rookie pitcher as things were melting down. He sat there and let him flail in the wind as the whole fucking thing fell apart (again(Cubs style!)). The collapse was on the entire team.

Regarding Bartman. Kill you're a very knowledgable baseball fan. Please was poetic on a fan's responsibility when sitting in the first row of seats while your own team is on the field. Do you think people occupying those seats should at the very least understand those situations? I'm not saying Alou would have even caught that ball.
