Looking forward to the Tiki Barber story.
The guy's life fell apart so fast.
He went from being on NBC and The Today Show to a scandal involving an intern. Now the guy needs the NFL in his life to get back on track

Does anybody else have no interest in learning about
the NFL negotiations?
I could care less.
Its not like I have any influence in the discussions for the new labor contract.
The only persons who win are the lawyers(on both sides). Those fuckers are getting paid a pretty penny.
As long as the regular seasons starts on time, does the rest really matter??

I agree. I'm not following this story for shit. Sooner or later it'll get settled and that's when I'll start paying attention.Machado wrote:Does anybody else have no interest in learning about

I watch ESPN a lot(mostly via DVR), so when the NFL Lockout story appears, I can't help but fast forward through that crap. Who cares what all the experts have to say. All of those opinions don't count for much.
Neither do their sources that they claim to have.
Only 1 person I want to hear from=Roger G. Once he steps up to the mic and announces the season will begin on X date, that's when I'll care again.

It seems a deal has been reached as to a rookie pay system.
Labor deal talks continue.

Looks like a deal could be in place within 24-48 hours, with the lockout being lifted by next week!! Excellent, now the COLTS road BACK to the Superbowl at LUCAS OIL STADIUM can begin!

All I care about are the comments directed at Goodell.
If only more veteran players would speak their mind.
Props to Harrison and his verbal abuse towards The Commish

I'm calling for a moratorium on all P13-related Colts posts, or all Lickety related Patriots posts.
Enough already. You guys should just exchange numbers already and establish some kind of red phone doucheline.

Spoke with a client in Bourbonnaise where the Bears have training camp who owns the company that supplies the portapotties for the Bears at the facility. He was contacted by the Bears and was told to have them delivered and ready FRIDAY. Sounds like Thursday is reporting day. We are going to have football folks.

Sounds good to me.
To be honest, I didn't miss football or OTA's or the free agent signing period at all.
As long as no regular season games were cancelled, did this lockout
really do any harm to the fans?
I don't think so.

ESPN cared a lot. I can't tell you how many Sportscenter broadcast ESPN ruined with their constant NFL Lockout updates.Crazy Levi wrote:Me too. Didn't follow this story, didn't care. If September rolled around and there was no football, I'd care.Machado wrote:Sounds good to me.

ESPN is going to shit or trying to resemble tabloid t.v.
Thanks goodness for the DVR

The owners have signed the deal. The players are waiting.
This sucks. Especially with both Chicago baseball teams being complete shit.

The players already know the HOF game has been canceled and that in a few days it will be too late to have the first week of preseason games. They can try to stall a few more days to try to get more concessions out of the owners and will only end up missing games they don't want to play. Watch this thing get done Monday or Tuesday.

Re: NFL 2010 Thread
Marion Barber's time with the Dallas Cowboys has finally run out.
Team owner and general manager Jerry Jones met with some players on Tuesday morning and told them not to bother reporting to training camp in San Antonio on Wednesday because they will be cut.
Barber was one of those players, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, along with wide reciever Roy Williams, Pro Bowl guard Leonard Davis and kicker Kris Brown.
I'm fine w/Barber being released. He is no longer a pro-bowl caliber back. All those hits have taken a toll on his body.
Time for Felix and DeMarco to take over.

Running Backs usually don't enjoy a very long career in the NFL per the beating they take week after week.NeverSurrender wrote:Except for half a season or so he was never a pro bowl caliber back.
Dallas held onto him for as long as they could.
Plenty of weeks last week showed Barber was not better then a #3 back on the team. Even Choice passed him in terms of talent level.

Jay Glazer
Vikes agree to trade 6th rounder in 12 and possibly 6th in 13 to Wash for Donovan McNabb. Deal contingent on McNabb agreeing to much less $

Looks like Haynesworth is going to the Patriots. If he shows up motivated he'll be exactly what that team needs.

He won't show up motivated. Shanahan traded him to the only coach who is a bigger douche than him.SkyDog112046 wrote:Looks like Haynesworth is going to the Patriots. If he shows up motivated he'll be exactly what that team needs.
Still, virtually no risk for the Pats, and I'm thrilled he's out of DC.
Fuck you by the way Lickety and your fucking P-13 like updates on all things Patriots. Seriously, fuck the Patriots and fuck you. I will now match every one of your who gives a fuck Patriots posts with one about the Redskins, who nobody could possibly give a fuck about.
Been a great 24 hours for the Skins. They got rid of both of last years' headaches - McNabb and fatass - and even got some picks in the deal. I was convinced both would walk for nothing so that's awesome.
Signed Josh Wilson a great CB, and also a young DT from the Giants who looks pretty good.
The Skins are doing what they should have done last year but better late than never.
I look forward to keeping you all up to date on all Redskins news.
The Skins are on the way up baby. Road to 7-9 starts today, followed by a legit run at the playoffs next year.

I guess some people get pretty testy over little things. Haynesworth being traded for a 5th round pick is news whether you like it or not. If you are a Skins fan you should be happy he is gone.
Re: NFL 2010 Thread
Good luck to any team that isn't the Pats this season.
