Exclusive: Cena No Longer The #1 WWE Merch Seller, New #1
WrestleZone has confirmed that an internal memo sent to WWE staffers this week listed the top 10 merchandise sellers, and John Cena has been replaced for the first time in several years as the number one seller.
The new number one?
CM Punk.
According to the memo, Punk is the number one merchandise selling WWE Superstar both on WWE Shop Zone and at the live events. The only time Cena was not number one was when The Rock returned to WWE Monday Night Raw, and his t-shirts sold a record number on ShopZone.
According to a key source in WWE, two of Punk's shirts have already eclipsed the Rock's one-day sales record. "Punk's merchandise is hot," our source told us, "no one has dethroned Cena in over 5 years, and Punk's numbers are way above anything or anyone else."

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
Hell yeah. It was a breath of fresh air compared to the same stale format we get from WWE and TNA. It kind of reminded me of an updated version of an old NWA show or something like that. No stupid backstage skits with bad acting, no unrealistic angles, and the guys actually do their own promos instead of reading a script. Great stuff. It just sucks that it's only an hour, though. Knowing my luck, it'll get cancelled.ozzyrulz777 wrote:Saw Ring Of Honor this weekend. It was really good. I am glad it is finally on a station I can watch it on.

According to Jason Powell, Vince Russo is no longer the head writer for TNA Wrestling. Agent/producer Bruce Prichard (Brother Love) is going to be Russo's replacement. Russo will continue to be a "senior writer" and will continue to work on scripts along with Matt Conway.
The change has been expected for a few months and has only become official in the last week. There are some people in TNA that are said to be unhappy with Prichard getting so much power since he only joined TNA recently.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
thery should have sold the angle, just have those 5 on Raw for 2 weeks. It would be interesting. Bring in scabs.
the Live event could get the matches they paid for after the cameras go off
I bet Punk is glad he "resigned" now he's "friends" with HHH?
seems to be Surviver Series will be 5 on 5 for power of the company
HHH Team vs Super DaveOsborne(voice) bad actor guy in charge of talent
HHH,Cena,Rock, Sheamus, Punk vs Christian,Miz,R Truth and 2 others
either Cena will turn on his team to make them lose or Rock will do the same.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
- TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle recently spoke with NZPWI.co.nz this weekend to promote Bound For Glory. Here are some highlights:
Thoughts on Bobby Roode:
"You know what? I have had 5 star matches my whole career, and what I see in Bobby Roode is a talent that can go as far as he wants to go. I’m talking about Shawn Michaels. I’m talking about Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Triple H. Bobby has something about him that could make him a huge superstar. Now, at Bound For Glory, that doesn’t mean he’s going to win. I can guarantee the match won’t be short. And I can guarantee that it will be very competitive."
Sting vs. Hogan and his match at Bound For Glory:
"Hulk Hogan’s wrestled Sting so many times already. It’ll help the pay-per-view, but fans are more interested in what’s going to happen between Kurt Angle and Bobby Roode. I hope that we go on last, because it won’t be good for them if they have to follow us. Kurt Angle and Bobby Roode will be putting on a hell of a performance."
Training for the Olympics:
"Honey, listen. I’m trying out for the Olympics next year. The pressure is nothing compared to trying out for the Olympic team at 43 years of age. I’ve lost 30 pounds. I’ve gone from 245lb down to 215lb. A lot of people will say I look smaller than the referee, which is kind of degrading, but it’s funny too. I am in the best shape of my life. Thank God TNA gave me a lot of time off to train. I have been home for three weeks now, training solely for the Olympics. I’ll be at my best when the Olympic trials come around. I feel good. I’m healthy, there’s nothing that’s going to hold me back. I know there’s one guy in my weight class that I have to beat – the #1 guy – his name is Jake Varner, he’s a world silver medallist. But I’m very serious about making the Olympic team. I love professional wrestling, I love TNA, but I’ve always wanted to do something that no-one’s ever done, and to win an Olympic medal at the age of 43 is far beyond anything anyone’s done before."
His future and TNA's future:
"The best development is that we’ve got a lot of our own homegrown talent. The worst is that we’re not growing them fast enough, or pushing them hard enough. You’ve got Samoa Joe. He had been undefeated. I walked in and beat him on my first match. I didn’t like that. Then I had AJ Styles, and he went to main event status. Then they backed off from him. Then we’ve got Beer Money – James Storm and Robert Roode deserve to be main event status. We have Crimson and Amazing Red – we have all this talent, that’s never been touched. We need to elevate that talent. And you know who can do it? Me. And the other older talent. I’m not going to lie to you – I’m only going to be wrestling for 3 more years. Then I’m retiring. My job is to get this young talent to replace Kurt Angle.
"I’m going to be with TNA forever. I won’t be wrestling, but I will be there. I will be involved in the creative direction, training and development. And I want TNA to understand that we have a lot of homegrown talent that I think is better than the talent over in WWE. So why aren’t we using these guys, when they’re that good? The older guys – Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Jeff Jarrett, Sting, Kurt Angle – the list goes on. Guys in their 40’s, 50’s and 60s. It’s time to let the younger talent shine through. If we do that, then we’re a new company. We’ll get higher ratings, and we can compete with the monster, WWE."

Former WWE and TNA Wrestling talent Travis "Tyson" Tomko, 38, is currently being held in Florida's St Johns County Jail.
According to a police report on StAugustine.com, he was arrested this morning on a robbery charge. No bond is listed. No further details have been disclosed.
Tomko last performed on a national stage for TNA Wrestling in 2010. He parted ways with the organization in August of that year.

- The firing of Jim Ross by John Laurinaitis on last night's RAW Supershow was not in the final script and most people backstage had no idea that it was going to happen.
It's also believed Ross didn't know about the angle either. It was noted that JR's wife could be seen at ringside, looking excited as he entered the ring for the segment.
Ross told a fan on Twitter today that it was embarrassing for his wife and that they both were "blindsided."
Regarding last night's show, it's said that what ended up airing was almost nowhere near what was originally wrote. Everything on last night's show was re-written more than once.

hey dumbass Angle, putting over young talent years ago would pay off now, but all WWE hasbeens and WCW "legend" like to ballhog. Thats why WWE is still doing well. Some leave, some retire, but always someone comes in to fill the spots.
