Oh well, guess it could have been a lot more serious on an injury.
As long as you have him in the playoffs. As a Hawks fan I've hated him since the Blues was the damn President's trophy. He's a great, nasty sonofabitch of a player. is he forty yet?
He's like the Liberace of bass & pot.

You know what, it would actually be refreshing to hear Luongo say something like this. I think this is going to be a rallying point for the Flyers. Ilya may have put a bigger focus on himself now, but I think it will turn out positive

I agree. I think it's refreshing to see a guy publicly admit what everyone can see anyway. It's a lot better than couching everything with "WE need to do this" and "WE can play better". Just own up to it. More respectable, in my eyes.

Glad he's acknowledging it. But even as annoyed as I am with the start they're having, there truly has been a ton of crazy, fluke deflections, etc. on quite a few of those goals...oh, and pretty shitty defensive play as well. Hopefully he'll turn it around. Guess we'll see tonight.

It's been used non-stop since training camp.

Brutal. Although it was a fun game on Thursday. Price was great as usual against the B's. I lost the power on Saturday and thankfully missed that game. I don't know what's going on. I can see a hangover and being out of shape for the first 5 or so games, but this is unacceptable. They're getting dangerously close to being at the point of no return for playoffs. The top 8 in November are usually the top 8 in April.

I don't think he did it to be racist, but that "White Chicks" analogy, along with the "Dwayne Wade dressed as Justin Timberlake" one has been taking a beating on most of the hockey boards I frequent.People who are opposed will say that there isn't a history of black people mocking whites by doning makeup, while unfortunately, the use of blackface has a sad, embarrassing one.

Then of course is the arguement that technically, this wasn't "blackface" and as well was just a Halloween costume, which I tend to understand.

However,he had to have known it could be viewed as racially sensitive to some people.

I guess I see both sides of the debate.

Hopefully no one will use the fact that Torres agent is an African American as an angle...oops,too late Steve Simmonds just tweeted it.

luongo hasn't been the issue. he isn't the one giving the puck away/not staying with their checks/screening/missing empty nets.

burrows should have 12 goals already. bieksa's -9 would be great if he was still golfing.

Who the fuck gets mad about that? So now you have "to be a fan" of the person you're dressing up as? What about the people dressed up as Casey Anthony?

What a country this has become.

Yeah, what a bummer this year turned into. A bunch of useless youngsters, over the hill usleess vets and 3 pretty good goalies with no defense. We have the worst bottom 3 d pairing I've ever seen.

And the best goalie we have never plays, and last year's tough team looks like it was just assembled to sell tickets when the team was out of the race.

Fuck me. And I just spent 1500 dollars to watch these asshats play on LOng Island this week. I'm a fucking idiot.

i almost paid for that game. looks like the isls aren't ready yet. lots of youth like edmonton but right now it's a one line team without any real top defencemen. have faith. it's coming.

maybe.

I think Mark Streit is good and Hamonic is going to be great one day, but othr than that, no, and not many good young defensemen in the system either. And what happened to Okposo?

I will be about 5 seats from the penalty box on the glass for the game tonight. I'm ready.

Seriously though, Evander Kane is going to develop into one of the best power forwards in the game, in due time. A poor man's Iginla, with the possibility of turning into Milan Lucic (minus being an ass hat).

Lucic might be the biggest bitch in the NHL.

Oh man, was it worth the money to go to the Rags Isles game. What a unique experience. rags fans were talking shit and I would just look back and say "and it was great". They were confused, and it was funny.

I will also be at the Habs game on Thursday.

Ditto.

I always knew who he was and yadda yadda. But he holds a special place in my heart after that.
