Roy Retires
Its sad to see a guy in the NBA cut down in his prime due to injury. Especially when its the guy that had a big hand in shedding the Jail Blazers image. Thank you, Brandon Roy. For helping Rip City come back.

Re: Roy Retires
Oden should join him.
I just read that he had another setback.

Re: Roy Retires
Well fuck. Can we hooked up with Marc Gasol and Shane Battier as a consolation prize?

A setback that has the upcoming season in doubt.aceshigh wrote:Oden should join him.

That's too bad about Roy. He was a class act & a
great player.
The Trailblazers have been cursed.
Now if only Luke Walton will retire & free up some
cap room. I read somewhere that his dad Bill
Walton told him he should retire because of back.
Jeez, Bill has first hand knowledge of what injuries
can do to a player.

Re: Roy Retires
Watching Roy play late last season was very hard to watch, he knew the writing was on the wall. What the hell is in the water in Portland with horrible career ending knee injuries anyway?

I blame Bill Walton. He started that trend.ParaDime77 wrote:Watching Roy play late last season was very hard to watch, he knew the writing was on the wall. What the hell is in the water in Portland with horrible career ending knee injuries anyway?

Re: Roy Retires
That cracks me the fuck up. Especially with all the guys ( Chad I'm talking to you ) on sports radio, that made statements like they wouldn't trade Roy for Kobe, or Lebron, etc.
Well your little team had a chance to sign Kevin Durant. You passed to sign a guy that ( while I realize ) was dominant in college, he had knee issues then. So they still sign Greg Oden ( Sam Bowie II ), and are blown away that he didn't do anything. There is a reason the Blazers will always suck. Always.

I would have picked Noah over Durant. We got guys who can score. We need D.killeverything wrote:That cracks me the fuck up. Especially with all the guys ( Chad I'm talking to you ) on sports radio, that made statements like they wouldn't trade Roy for Kobe, or Lebron, etc.
