The Saints Niners game - fucking wow. Just wow. That was awesome. Just, awesome. The second game? Brady is the Ice Man and the Tebows got their comeuppance. Pretty much as expected. Maybe the media will shut the fuck up and LAgroupie and his ilk will follow suit.

Love that sound of silence. No LAglumrocker or Gimp fucking up the thread.

I went to bed at half time knowing it was all over. Tebows asshole must be red raw with the fucking it took. If they could pass the fucking thing, and with McGahee they'd be decent, but not with that clown at QB.

Another illustration of why Tebow won't lead a team to a championship was highlighted when they showed replays of the catches and incompletions.

Brady, as all winning QBs must do at some point, was making passes into traffic and putting the ball where only his receivers could get it. His deep ball to Branch on the left sideline was textbook. It was a perfect spiral that went over the defender and over Branch's right shoulder and hit him just above the number 4 in 84 in stride and let him pull away from the defender for a TD. Brees, Rodgers, the Mannings, and Rapistberger make throws like that all the time too. And if you are keeping score those QBs have all the championships for the past 10 years. Watch the replays of the incompletions by the top QBs and you'll see that they are usually only off target by a couple of inches. It shows the fine line between a successful play that keeps the chains moving and going three-and-out.

Tebow was only able to hit wide open receivers and it's rare that they are left wide open often enough for a QB like that to be successful. His OT throw last week went to a wide open receiver and came on a blown coverage. A lot of his yards come against prevent defenses when they are letting him have wide open receivers underneath. High school QBs can make those throws. He is playing pitch & catch like pre-game warmups. What he can't do, which is required by NFL QBs, is gauge where his moving receivers will be in their routes so he can deliver a ball that they can catch. Did you see Tebow's incompletions last night? Many of them were off target by at least 10'. It was embarrassing how many times he bounced passes off the turf 5' in front of his receiver.

Let's put this Brady vs. Tebow thing into perspective. Brady has, won multiple SB's, MVP's, has been in the league for 11 years, has arguably his best weapons ever now on offense, same system for his entire tenure, same head coach, and he is the best ever.
Tebow, in his second year, two (really three) systems, two head coaches (and an interum), his best WR Lloyd was traded once he became starting QB this year, his OC has him on a tight leash, VERY predictable playcalling, no real weapons on the offense (Mcgahee had effort these last several weeks but has been outa gas for a while), and Denver had to live on miracles to win a lot of games.
What exactly did people think was going to happen? How about they give Tebow an offseason, some real weapons, develop him as a QB (which he can succeed), tighten up that defense, and see what happens in years to come. Tebow will be fine, and Brady will be Brady.

Uhm, no. Tebow is a second rate Doug Flutie.

Tebow's weapons are sufficient. His running backs are good and his receiving group is good. Part of the problem is that he is incapable of making them better. Good QBs can win with average receivers. Do you remember the receivers that Brady won 3 Superbowls with? Branch, Givens, and Patten, receivers who will only see Canton if they pay their way in.

It wouldn't matter if you gave Tebow Jerry Rice and Steve Largent as his wideouts, put the 1980's Hogs in front of him for protection and had him handing off to Walter Payton and Jim Brown. The fact is he can't go through his reads and release the ball quickly enough to be an NFL QB. And when he does manage that his passes couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.

While Johnson wasn't great he was very good for a few years and threw a nice deep ball. I'd take him over Tebow in a heartbeat.

The graphics said 16 at one point so it had to be 17-18.

But hey, that Tebow just wins games!

These Houston kickers have a bad case of the yips. Between the missed field goal and the shanked punt they aren't having a great day.

I wouldn't call hitting the crossbar on a 50-yarder a "yip".

Ed Reed just did the Texans in.

Jennings fumbled. It was clear as day. The replay official got that wrong. Even Periera disgreed with the ruling and he never goes against the refs.

And that was a stupid onside kick attempt by GB.

For the Tebow defenders out there: Watch the way Rodgers plays. He's mobile when he needs to be but he's a pocket passer first. See how he reads the defense and then makes a quick decision as to what he's going to do. Notice how quickly he gets rid of the ball once he's gone through his progressions. Look at where he puts the ball, it's always in the right place for his receivers to make the catch and keep going if possible and if not it's a quick strike to get the available yards. He throws tight spirals and nice touch passes. No wounded ducks even in the cold and wind. That's what a real QB looks like.

It looks like the expected AFC teams are gonna make it, but not the NFC. I'd say the NFC teams (if the Giants make it) are more balanced on both sides of the ball while the AFC teams are lopsided.
