Yeah what a blowout. Total rout.
But in the end they couldn't get it done.
My brother in law before kickoff - big ravens fan - said the ravens have terrible special teams and they'll lose if it comes down to a field goal. He's a genius!

Belichick is going to go ballistic on them tomorrow morning. Three turnovers should raise his ire.

It's no crime to make a bad prediction, but this is exactly what you get for playing tough-guy with your picks.

Lewis is planning on recreating the scene from Scarface where they toss the guy out of the helicopter. Start looking for Cundiff in the water about 30 miles from Logan.Tymaster wrote:If I'm Billy Cundiff, I fear for my life. Ray Lewis has already gotten away with one murder.

I see the Pats will be playing against the Rams at this year's game in London. I may well go to this if I can get tickets. The Rams will also be playing 1 game in London for the next 3 years.

The offer was extended to the Bucs who turned it down, fyi. Go enjoy the game though. The New Jersey (yeah, I said it) Giants will (hopefully? ... pretty please?) make it 2 for 2.
Maybe.

Interesting they offered it to 2 NFL teams that have owners who also own English Premier league teams. I wonder if the Browns were next on the list.Tymaster wrote:The offer was extended to the Bucs who turned it down, fyi. Go enjoy the game though. Man - I guess Cundiff will be looking for work (or a bodyguard). He HAS to make that kick. Evans HAS to catch that ball in the end zone. Also, I don't get how with a yard to go, a little time on the clock, and a timeout, you don't get a fresh set of downs and buy your self 2-3 more plays to get in the end zone or kick a field goal that's even more make-able.
Ravens choked and deserved to lose.

Re: NFL 2011 Thread
Not sure. I had read that the reason the Bucs had been going was because they can't sell out their own games. So they asked the Rams, who have had some lackluster sales in Saint Louis. However, this theory holds no water because the Pats sell out every game. BUT, Bob Kraft gets anything he wants from Goodell and this is probably his return favor...MickeyG wrote:Interesting they offered it to 2 NFL teams that have owners who also own English Premier league teams. The NFL wants to expand, and maybe put a franchise in England. But they need somewhere to play. Filing Wembley every home game might be tough, and also Wembley wants a share of the gate etc. If you move a franchise that has an owner who owns an English soccer team, with it's own ground, problem solved. The Bucs could play at Old Trafford, the Rams at the Emirates and Browns at Villa Park. Of course they'd never let the Browns move, would they?

Here is where we see what Smith is made of. 1:47 left and 3 TOs from his own 29 with the score tied.

Talk about fumbling your chances away.
And SF still needs a QB. Smith was 9 of 22 for 153 yards at the end of regulation. That is Tebowesque.

Why was he anywhere near the ball that touched him
in the knee?
2nd fumble was carelessness on his part.
Hold the ball with two hands and stop trying to be a hero.

You guys are being too rough on the guys that fucked up. It happens all the time, on every team. Kickers miss easy shit all the time, and fumbles and deflections are part of the game.

Regarding the 49er game, that punt returner already fumbled once in the game at a very critical moment was inexcuseable.
The 2nd fumble is all on him for being careless.
The dude probably wanted to tweet all his followers about how he returned a punt for a TD and get his team to the SB.
WRONG!

He better not be. That shit was infuriating. The offense was playing weak enough, they damn well didn't need any help from some jackass who can't hold onto a damn football returning punts.Luminiferous wrote:Anyone think Williams will still be a 49er next season?

When's the last time he had a 53 QB rating? At least he's honest. It wasn't his best game. I was stunned that Gronkowski could walk, let alone come back into the game. Michaels and Collinsworth will call the Superbowl. They are about as good a crew as is out there right now. Anything is better than having to listen to those assclowns from ESPN call the game.
