Is Eli Carving Out a Superior Resume to Peyton?

Post by Crazy Levi »

I have to think it's a realistic discussion at this point.

Peyton has the MVPs, the records, etc.

Eli has the CLUTCH. Peyton loses in the playoffs, and Eli Wins.

He's already got 2 Super Bowl MVPs. Maybe he'll get a 3rd. Will it even be a contest at that point?

He's on his way possibly but not there yet. I was just thinking this NY team could be a dyanasty if they keep that D and get a younger RB, though Bradsaw is good, Jacobs in on his last legs and that recieving corps is scary.

I think since he's only eight years in it's too soon to tell, but I also think he punched his ticket to Canton last night.
He's like the Liberace of bass & pot.

I don't think so. His numbers aren't there yet. One more ring, or a few more good seasons like this one, then yeah. I think he's definitely a better big game QB than Peyton though.

He's borderline for Hall of Fame right now - leaning towards in even if he never played another down. How many 2-time super bowl MVPs aren't in the Hall? I'd guess zero.

I'd say borderline is about right.

Levy, I'm guessing you're trolling again but let me address this. Only an ignorant moron (which you are) would think that Eli has even come close to surpassing Peyton. He's a great QB in his own right. But he has not dominated the game the way that Peyton has. Yeah, Eli has two rings. But one player does not win a ring on his own. It takes all 52. To think otherwise you'd have to be a total moron who does not understand football, which, once again, you are. Look at their numbers in the playoffs in regular season and tell me how they stack up. I'l wait....

Can you shut the fuck up and read the topic you stupid asshole.

Yes Eli starting to gain massive momentum on Peyton. If Peyton who is an awesome QB is done Eli will probably catch and pass him. However if Peyton leaves that shitty Colts franchise and goes to a winner (Jets) I think no way Eli will catch him.

So if it takes "all 52", then which player doesn't matter? Seeing how protected rosters are 53 and active rosters for game day are 45 with an allowance for an emergency QB who can only play if the 1st & 2nd string guys get injured. So which one do you think doesn't count.

Seriously, go read Football 101 or get someone to explain the game to you.

You can't spell Elite without Eli.

And I know several women named Peyton and I know of only one man named Peyton.

it's tough to say, 'cuz peyton's stats are hard to argue with. that said, he's had alot of talent at his disposal & overall has had trouble winning "the big one". this isn't just an NFL thing....it actually dates all the way back to his college playing days at tennessee, when "the big one" was the florida gators. peyton typically played like ass each time he faced them, despite a relatively equal talent level for both teams. funny enough, the year after peyton graduated, tennessee won the national championship with freakin' tee martin at QB.....go figure.

if eli can put together another regular season or two like the last one, he oughta be a shoe-in for the HOF, whether he sniffs another super bowl opportunity or not. IMO eli has made the most of his opportunities, while peyton has mostly underachieved....
