SF just doesn't turn the ball over. They made the Pack look dumb yesterday. You could see they were surprised and humiliated. I don't actively root against teams but that game did not break my heart at all. God I hope the Bears don't shit the bed up there Thursday.noam_bombsky wrote:The defense looked great! WR Roy Williams announces retirement
"My time in the NFL is over, had a great time, ups and downs, met soooo many ppl, fans, and friends," Williams wrote on his Facebook page. "... But now it's time for me to have my family time that I've missed for the last 9yrs, spending it with (children) Jordan and Dallas and the ppl who love me, so I will never strap it up again (even tho i can still play), but at the same time I'm ready to give that dream up."

Ive no doubt "handshake Bowl II" will fail to deliver.
So, seriously. RG3.
After a few hours to sober up and sleep on it, and bask in the sunshine of a gorgeous new Orleans day...that was probably the best rookie qb debut in NFL history.
On the road, in the loudest stadium in the league? Ridiculous. He didn't turn it over...he didn't make a single bad throw, and he simply lit it up. Meanwhile, the D did a fine job against the best offense in the League.
Pretty amazing game all around.
Meanwhile, Luck floundered in a similar situation. I mean, I'm sure he'll be just fine - which everyone on ESPN keeps saying, but he looked like a rookie yesterday.
Not that I give a shit, but I have to engage in some P13ery today.
Can you imagine if The situation were reversed, and it was Luck who just set the bar for debut performances and Griff had just thrown 3 ints and completely lost his composure on the sideline? If it were rg3 who was throwing off his chinstrap and cursing after another awful pick, while the experts on tv were unanimously praising Luck and marveling at his elite play and poise. If every sports show was leading off with Luck highlights and RG3 had been relegated to being an afterthought? The all caps and exclamation point abuse we'd have to endure from that hacky troll would have been unbearable.
The colts are 0-1, just like last year, and the skins are 1-0 again.
I have a hunch it's the first of many for us, while pp will be Making an awful lot of excuses.

Re: NFL 2012 Thread
I'm not going to give the Niners props until they beat the Lions Sunday. Green Bay has lost a step from last year, and Lions vs Niners part II could be alot different. The Niners were still suprising alot of people last year when they won the first game.
Alex Smith is alot worse than Sam Bradford and the Lions stopped the run game. Just because Jeff Fisher suprised Matt Stafford early in what was supposed to be a gimmee game for them doesn't mean the Lions are any worse than last year.
If the Niners can blow out the Lions Sunday I will come here and take my whipping like a man.

I don't know if I agree with that. Well, maybe the number of mistakes, but the type of mistakes is crazy.NeverSurrender wrote:The fake refs made about as many mistakes as the other refs.
I'm a diehard Pats fan, but I was scratching my head that they didn't call pass interference in the endzone on Devin McCourty on the Titans first drive. And then the major fuck-up was when nate Washington got pounded in the 4th quarter. The Pats made a great clean play to knock the ball out of Washington's possession. The refs let Pat Chung pick up the ball and run toward the Pats endzone with it. The Titans QB ends up making the tackle and getting knocked from the game with a shoulder injury. So the initial call on the field is completed pass and fumble. It was clear to ANYONE that the pass catch was never completed. It wasn't even close to being a reception. Nate Washington caught the ball and got popped and coughed up the ball before he ever took a step. The ball came out when he hit the field. Not being able to make the right call contributed to the Titans losing their starting QB.

Guess what? The game was shown where I live. So yeah, it was on t.v.
What do you have to say about that?
Listen, no secret you're a fan of the Colts and win or lose, you will describe the game as the greatest and in the same sentence, offer a list of excuses why the team lost.
Am I right or wrong?
Be happy with his 300 yards passing. Be happy with losing the game.

Where did I say I was happy about losing the game? Once again, you seem to ignore my statements where I noted disappointment in how the team played, overall. What excuse did I make? Absolutely none. You're putting words into my mouth and only reading the parts you want to read. Grow up.Machado wrote:When you use the word, "those", are you describing a group of peoplepoizond13 wrote:LOL.Machado wrote:
