Honestly - I thought Punk had on the hoodie to cover up the new belt. That, or Heyman was going to destroy the spinner belt.

Whether you're a fan or not, Punk's reign has been the most exciting since...well...since I can even remember. When the feud with Bryan ended, they took the streak into a whole other direction with the heel turn, keeping the remainder of his reign fresh. Suddenly, people who thought Punk couldn't hold the belt a year are rethinking the idea that maybe Punk vs. Rock will happen at Royal Rumble.

Personally, last night would have been the night to bring out a new belt. I do think Punk will be the one to introduce a new belt. Another option is for Punk to beat Cena cleanly at Hell in a Cell, cementing the fact that Punk as champion is here for a while longer, and that the belt should reflect that. For Punk to change the title and immediately drop it to Cena would open up the chance for the spinner belt to return.

Something else that would make the road to WrestleMania "different" would be for the Rock to win the belt from Punk at Royal Rumble and disappear to film movies, allowing the WWE to "vacate" the title since it is not being defended. At that point, Punk could claim to be the last "real" champion and introduce the Straight Edge World Championship. A tournament would be held to crown a new WWE champion (such as John Cena). After the tournament (and similar to Punk/Cena in the Summer of 2011), Rock would return with the Brahma Bull World Championship (FINALLY) and claim to be the official champion. Now, you have John Cena, Rock, and CM Punk with valid claims to be the champion (and three different belts). At WrestleMania, a triple threat match would take place to unify the belts and create a brand new WWE Championship that does not reflect one champion over another. Personally, I'd like to see Punk get the win and be the one to put over someone like Dolph Ziggler, Cody Rhodes, or Wade Barrett. At the same time, you could then set up Rock/Cena II for Summerslam 2013 in Los Angeles.

Definitely. I've NEVER been a Kane fan. Something about the gimmick just has never caught on with me. But Bryan has managed to make Kane interesting...LOL

I used to dig Kane back in the '90s, but after he lost the mask, I didn't care about him anymore.

Between his return feud with Cena and this tag team with Bryan, he's had a pretty decent run since returning last December.

Another sign of the Apocolypse: Cena out 4-6 weeks for recovery from elbow surgery.

WWE Diva Elizabeth Carolan, a.k.a Beth Phoenix, is reportedly finishing up with the company shortly. According to a source, Phoenix will be retiring in October.

Phoenix made her WWE debut in 2006 as an ally to Trish Stratus during her feud with Mickie James. She would go on to hold the WWE Women's Championship three times, as well as the WWE Diva's Championship.

Phoenix was en route to displacing Maryse Ouellet as the longest reigning WWE Divas Champion in history earlier this year, however lost the belt a week before she could break the record to Nikki Bella on the April 23rd episode of Raw.

I told you all this months ago (page 222)... Beth is pretty serious with Edge, and he doesn't want her on the road all the time. Her contract is up in November, and she's been planning on leaving for some time now.

Kaitlyn winning that Diva battle royal last month was an accident. She wasn't supposed to win... Eve was... but fell off the ropes. WWE then came up with a "Nancy Kerrigan" angle to give Eve the title shot (and win) at the PPV.

Supposedly... and this all could change... Natalya is going to be revealed as the one who knocked Kaitlyn out of commission (she did it for Eve in exchange for a future title shot), but not before Beth gets blamed for it... with it all leading up to Natalya vs. Beth Phoenix in a "Loser Leaves Town" match... where Beth will put over Nattie.

It may not all play out that way... but that's the plan for now.

One of my friends had massive open heart surgery a few years back. One of the first things the doctor had him do was eat a cheeseburger and fries, in order to boost his sodium level. Could be the case here. Or maybe Lawler is a stubborn southern boy.

And I don't think he's headed right back to the hospital but Lawler is straight up southern he lives in Memphis TN. the whole state is covered in Krispy Kreme and Krystal's, not that that's a bad thing and if you've never had country ham that you don't know what your missing its the best damn ham period.

I work with a former Diva... and she's best friends with one of the current Divas. I don't really press her for info, but we talk a lot... and she knows I keep up with WWE, so she tells me a lot of shit.

Met Hulk Hogan yesterday at the NEW show in Fiskill, NY at Dutchess Stadium which was the biggest indie show of the year featuring Hulk, Piper, Vader, Matt Hardy, Goldust, Duggan, etc. Great show, had an awesome time.

was the show great?

reports are it rained, most of matches were short because of the weather, and the chants "refund" from 2500 fans was loud.

Did WWE do a show in the area? White Plains? that sold-out at 6000

No, no one was chanting refund. It was actually a really fun show and day all around. Everyone was really friendly and cool. It was highlighted by a pretty great in ring back and fourth interview segment between Hulk and Piper. It started to pour after a Vader squash match and there was a 45 minute delay, at that point me and my buddy left since we had a long drive back to Boston and we didn't care about missing Matt Hardy or Goldust matches.

Here’s some random pics I snapped:
