I expect Klausen to get a slap on the wrist fine for it, but it won't bring Cushing back.
Yeah, they've had that cut blocking scheme for years. I won't call it dirty because it is legal, but in my opinion it is something that should be outlawed. When you have players diving at people's legs like that, injuries are inevitable. I think the league needs to look at that.

Reggie Wayne- 506 receiving yards
Pierre Garcon- 153 receiving yards

Levy said Reggie is over the hill and Pierre is much better.

Same scheme they used in Denver and now Washington. It's legal and it works, so there you go. A lot of guys share your opinion, but until it's made illegal, nobody can call it dirty. Cut blocking is not the same thing as clipping. Cushing was clipped, whether it was intentional or not, and it should have been flagged. The guy hit him higher at first (which is legal) and slid down to have his helmet hit the back and side of the knee, so personally I think it was just an unfortunate accident. I thought Kubiak handled it well when he said, "clipping is part of football, we'll just leave it in the league's hands"

Brian Hartline had one good game this season too. I think he is better than Reggie Wayne.

Reggie Wayne is old and nobody wanted him, which is why he's back for a victory lap with the Colts.

Good for him, nice to see him having some fun in front of the hometown fans. It's a good way for him to wrap up the career.

No GM would take him over Hartline right now if given a choice.

False. You sound like a guy who's bitter now.

He's 33. If that's what you consider old, fine. But Reggie's stated numerous times he received other offers before signing with the Colts. In fact, he took less money to stay here!

Based on his stats and his play, Reggie is an elite receiver RIGHT NOW. The Packers even double teamed him on Sunday and he absolutely dominated that game. You keep talking about guys who maybe will be elite some day. The Redskins overpaid for a guy who maybe will eventually produce enough to warrant his high salary, but probably not.

In March, Levy said this:
Enjoy watching Wayne's production #s plunge faster than A Different Kind of Truth sales figures.
Well, Reggie's number have not plunged, hoss. In fact, he's off to the best start of his career.

Then Levy said this:
Wayne isn't being signed for his skills, he's being signed as a thank you and to keep people like YOU happy.
Well, let me say that we don't have two wins without Reggie. In fact, we'd have zero. His presence is also indescribably huge for the development of Luck. So I'd say the signing was a little more than a "thank you."  Just like I said in March, having Reggie around has been invaluable and I don't even want to think about where we'd be if he weren't on the roster.

I have to agree with puss13 on this one.

meathead, Reggie has been a class act for a long time. You should show some respect and not dog him just to troll puss13.

As hard as it is to agree with that guy on much of anything, I agree as well.
Wayne's presence in the huddle and on the field is a huge benefit to a new QB like Luck's development. Reggie Wayne has been a bad ass wide receiver for a very long time and the benefit of just picking his brain and absorbing the wisdom of his experience will help Andrew Luck become a better QB. It was a very smart signing on the Colts part IMO. I don't expect Wayne to have many banner days like he did last week at this point in his career, but that doesn't really matter. The Colts aren't going to win a Super Bowl this year. They need to focus on developing their QB for the future. Im a long way from sold on thinking they're just going to reload and become the juggernaut they once were ( a large part of that is the awesome team residing in Houston that I expect to block their path for quite some time) but they seem to be handling their rebuild the right way. Wayne 's popularity with their fan base doesn't hurt things one bit in the meantime either .

Reggie's always been one of my favorite Colts, because of the way he goes about his business on and off the field. He's the kind of guy you want on the field in a big game, because you can trust that he will come down with the ball. You want him in the locker room because he is the consummate teammate. He gets guys going and makes sure everyone is on point. He's the furthest thing from a diva WR that there is. As for being "old," he's not the fastest guy on the field, but he never was. It was always his hands, route running ability, and football smarts that made him a great player, and that's why he's still a great receiver today. He knows how to get open. He won't drop passes. Green Bay did everything they could to stop him, to no avail. The guy's still got it. And his contributions to Luck's development are invaluable. That's why I knew right away that re-signing him was the best move we made all off-season.

I see us being contenders very soon, possibly next year even. The team looks much better than anyone expected, even though I stated they would be months ago. Anything we achieve this year will be a bonus really, because we have an incredibly young team, and had so much dead weight on our salary cap from all the players we released, that we couldn't spend hardly any money in free agency. Next year we're projected to have most cap space in the NFL. Luck will be in his second year. That's when it'll get real interesting.

A bad Jets team made the vaunted Texans look extremely human Monday. I think the Packers give them a pretty good game this week in Houston.
If the Cowboys lose to the Ravens, that's it. Pack it up and go home.
Detroit can't lose to Philly or see above.
I think NE jumps out to a big lead early in Seattle despite Seahawks defense's reputation.
There are no less than five games where I may as well flip a coin.

Denver at SD
Clevleland at Cincy
St. Louis at Miami
Vikings at Skins
Colts at Jets

Easiest game to pick is probably tonight's with Titans at Steelers.

And most importantly, the Bears can't lose this week.

I agree. Houston could easily lose that game, or Watt and co could sack Rodgers 25 times. Green bay's O line is a turnstile this year.

LONDON -- The San Francisco 49ers will return to Wembley Stadium to play an NFL regular-season game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2013.

The Jaguars, who have a deal to play one home game in London for four consecutive seasons beginning in 2013, will face the 49ers on Oct. 27, 2013.

"This is a unique and important opportunity for the Jaguars franchise, as well as for our fans and community," Jaguars owner Shad Khan said. "We can't wait to see our global vision for the Jaguars become reality next season."

 I expect Rodgers to try and take advantage of Cushing's absence with short passes. The guy that's taking Cush's spot is solid against the run, but he's not great in coverage. I have no idea how that's going to shake out.
