Loved Anderson Silva's reply to what his diet is going into this fight. He said "Burger King, cokes, & ice cream".
I think Bonner is going to give him a good fight, but Bonner will probably get cut & Silva will go after that cut precisely like he can do & the fight will be stopped.
Watching Silva is like watching the Michael Jordan of mma.

Was just watching the Bonnar/jones fight...never saw it. i wanted to see some of his fights getting ready for tonight. The elbow that Jones floored Bonnar with in the first round was a direct hit on the back of Bonnar's head. He should have been deducted a point for that. Then i realized that Mazagatti was the ref...he;s the worst. If a point was deducted, the fight would have been a majority draw.

Having seen Bonnar's ability to recover and take punishment, the fight against Silva should go the distance.

Jones has gotten away with elbows to the back the head on numerous times. Cant fault him though. Those elbows are one of his major weapons.

Erick Silva thinks he's Bruce Lee, fighting with no respect for Fitch. Hopefully after tonight, he fights smarter. Fitch isn't the kind of fighter you can clown...unless you're name is Johnny Hendricks or GSP...

Thoughts-
First off, I ha ha'd this fight, but it was a great night of fights.
I've never ever thought fights were fixed, but if there was one
fight that was was the Nog fight. Herman should be cut immediately. The man is a tomato can.
The way he came in & fought was a joke.
Good to see Fitch hand Silva his ass. That fight should've been stopped
when Fitch was pounding away on Silva. Imo the reason it wasnt stopped
was because the fight was in Brazil. Like others mentioned, Silva came
in cocky & disrespectful of Fitch. Good for Fitch.
Silva does what he does. He's the greatest.
Dana has to make a Jones/Silva fight. There isn't anybody any either of
their divisions that can give either of these studs a fight.
I could care less about a GSP/Silva fight. I want to see Jones & Silva go at it.
The Mr. Wonderful tonight,, where was he against Evans?
The FX fights are weak, but main card made up for it.

Which Silva are you talking about? Because neither Erick nor Anderson is boring.

Glover Texeira is the real fucking deal, and after seeing that fight I have to say two things-

Fabio Maldonado has the best chin at LHW, the impact you heard when Glover's fists were bouncing off his skull was sickening.

If anyone, Glover is the guy to take out Jones. I don't think Hendo or Gustaffson will be good enough.

Hendo has a chance, but I agree Gustaffson does not have what it takes.

Just read this-
Jones & Sonnen to coach the next ufc show & fight for LW title in April.
It will make for good television, but I dont think Sonnen deserves a shot.

Apprarently the ratings for tuf this season have been horrendous. They needed to go with what would draw viewers. hopefully they switch it to another night because they will never draw on a Friday night. Sonnen will at least make the show entertaining but won't last in the actual fight.

I'm a big fan of mma & the ufc, but could care less about that show. The only thing I will watch is the final night of fights.
Jones is a coach? The guy hasnt been around long enough to coach anybody. Jeez, the guy cant handle his own public relations & he is going to be a coach?
I do think Sonnen is smart enough & mature enough to be a decent coach.
He's very good when he is doing commentary on Fuel tv.

I'm hoping Chael brings in Dan Henderson as an assistant coach, that would awesome, but I don't think Dan would put himself in a position lower than Chael. I haven't watched TUF since about the 3rd series, but I would probably watch the highlights of this series just for laughs.

Is the next Fox fight stacked or what?
I'm saying right now that Diaz will win.
Henderson has never been hit like he will be
hit by Diaz.
The Guida/Henderson fight was on tv tonight, and
Guida clipped Henderson & he went down. & in the
second Edgar fight, the same thing happened. Neither
of those cats have the boxing that Diaz has. Its
going to happen again to Henderson only more often.

Aldo vs Edgar reschedule for 156 as well, Silva and White are DEFINITELY stacking cards because of criticisms on watered down cards, lets hope all three of these fights actually make it on the final card.

He was competing at his first ever brazillian jiu jitsu competition, he competed at Purple belt, he was disqualified for mocking his opponent for slowly tying his belt during the match, then swore at both his opponent and the referee.

The next day he competed at no-gi grappling, won his weight division (middleweight), then lost in the absolute, and swore at the ref and complained to the head ref about the bad decision, he lost by decision. He lives in Phuket now.

He was saying " What the fuck ref, I fucking came from MMA, man, and I tried to play by your rules, but this is fucking bullshit, fuck this man, fuck this" He was quite funny before and after the competition, but he's a real hot head.

He couldn't even survive in Bellator. And he was in that weightdivision that is just crammed with great talent.

So, is Condit (spelling) going to beat GSP?
I hope at least he actually fights a fight, and not do
what he did against Diaz. I'm looking forward to the
Hendricks/Kampmann fight. That should be a good one.
Doesn't this weekends fights start in the morning?
Can't say I am very excited about it to begin with.
The next Fox fight is stacked beyond stacked!

I dont know how I feel about Strikeforce folding. I guess it was bound to happen though.
I was reading all the fighters comments on mmafighting.com & ALL the women fighters think they are going with Rousey straight into the ufc.
Right now, the only fight that makes sense for Rousey is to fight what's
his name,,, Cyborg. Other than that, a Meisha Tate rematch is a joke &
Sarah Kaufmann shouldnt even be considered for a rematch.

I'd say feed Rousey some scrub (which, unfortunately, seems like any woman fighter not named Cyborg) to get the UFC fans to like her. Give Cyborg a fight before and after Cyborg smashes somone's face in, and after Rousey tears some unlucky bitches arm off, have them fight in a main event, probably on a FX/Fuel card, maybe even a Fox card. Or a co-main on a PPV.

The tuneups on a undercard of ppv or co main on a fx/fox/fuel, and then Rousey/Cyborg co main event ppv.
Funny how Dana's decesion of never having women in ufc has changed huh? Money talks!
