I think what you meant to say is that it is now apparent that Indy was tanking games last year to get Luck, so he is going to benefit by the seemingly big improvement the Colts appear to have made since last year.

And now watch P13's head explode...wait for it...
We were not tanking games. Nothing could be further from the truth. Look at how many people lost their jobs as a result of the record we had last year. Basically the entire front office, coaching staff, and most of the players. You think they wanted to have the record we ended up with? Nope. Polian and the front office were busting their ass all year to fix it because they knew having that kind of season would cost them their jobs. Same deal with Caldwell. I think they were on the right path, as we eventually won 2 out of our last 3 games.

Why can't there be a separate Luck/RG3 thread for all this bullshit?

Of course he's trolling. RG3 is probably one of the most intelligent people in the league, but you know, he's black, so he's dumb like Jamarcus Russell, at least by P13 logic.

Relax, where did I say he wasn't smart? Book smarts and football smarts don't always translate. I just look at the system they're running now, and it's a simple system reminiscent of a college type of system. Plus, that's pretty much the standard for any rookie like I said, so I wasn't knocking Griffith. I just used it to illustrate how much further ahead Luck is.

Playoff projections. I know it's a little early, but this looks to be one of those years where the playoff teams will be determined early with just the seeding in question. The AFC division leaders are close to clinching already. Atlanta is pretty well set in the NFC South.

Here's what I think:
AFC
1. Houston
2. Baltimore
3. New England
4. Denver
5. Pittsburgh
6. Cincinnati

NFC
1. Green Bay
2. Atlanta
3. San Francisco
4. New York Giants
5. Chicago
6. New Orleans

Those are pretty much the teams that would get in today, with New Orleans getting in instead of Seattle and Cincy getting in instead of Indy.

Thoughts?

I agree with your picks for the most part. Indy has an easier road than Cincy though. I'm not convinced they'll pull it off, but they'll probably be playing Houston's third string in week 17 and they're already a game up, I think Denver and NE are both better than Baltimore, but I don't know if they'll catch them. Houston has to get home field because I don't think they beat either of those teams on the road in the playoffs.

58% of people polled state that Andrew Luck will have the best career of any QB drafted in 2012. RGLeaf is in second place with just 35%.

They had an interesting conversation on sportcenter Friday debating RG3, all guys on the panel were blown away at how poised He was already, wierd that they were talking about him being so good so soon yet Luck was never mentioned in the conversation. RG3 is going to have a 3000 yard 20+ TD season and given that he's not prone to throw picks a damn good TD-INT ratio,on top of that he'll rush for 8000 yards maybe more. They were also including him in the MVP discsussion albiet it was right after a great game on thansgiving. Still I've heard ex- players and expert anylists actually throw Griffin in the MVP mix, yet to hear Lucks name come up from anyone besides P13. Time to just face the facts P13 RG3 is great, Luck if given a great RB totake some pressure off and keep his attempts down will be great in his own way, He's just nowhere near athletic as RG3 or poised for that matter, it's looking like you'll be sporting a levi made sig for a few months.

So if you admit RG3 has a better running game, then how do you explain the fact that Luck has led his team to a better record? I also find it hilarious that anyone could think RG3 has more "poise" than Luck. Luck already has FOUR game winning drives. That's right, four. Talk about poise. RG3 has just one.

And I am not the only one who mentioned Luck as an MVP candidate. In fact, he's been mentioned more than RG3. Take a look at this article from last week:

RG3 does have a better running game, which s why he's not chucking it 50 times a game like Luck, and because he dosent throw as much his percentage is high and he throws few INT's. His team overall is not as good as indy's. lets be real though it's like not like the colts have that much better of a record than Was, they're not exactly in the same league as Tex or Atl.

Yeah and I'm not counting Indy nutswingers as experts who put luck in the MVP convo, I'm talking about former players and anylists on ESPN, They werent saying He was their pick but they did say should He keep doing what hes doing he should be in the mix. No mention of luck at all. I believe the guys they mentioned were Manning, Brady, Peterson, Ryan and Griffin.

edited to add I read the article, written last week and they didn't say exactly when Eddie george tweeted that, Ok one very dumb ex player who would somehow have Luck ahead of guys like tom brady and Adrian Peterson, Eddie obviously took alot of vicious shots to the head .

That's awesome. I'll see you that article and raise you one "RG3 for MVP article." Except this one is from an unbiased source, not some cheesy Indy site.

Stop posting stupid polls and articles, E(xcuses)13. That shit is retarded, and you can always find "evidence" the contrary.

http://espn.go.com/blog/nfceast/post/_/ ... rg3-be-mvp

"And then there are the individual dreams, including the idea being put forth by some in NFL commentary circles that Griffin is the Most Valuable Player in the NFL. It's inconceivable to think a player could actually win that award on a team with a losing record, and it's almost impossible to imagine it going to someone on a non-playoff team. But when you watch Griffin make huge play after huge play with his arm and his feet for a team that's banged-up on defense, at wide receiver and at tight end, you can't help but think the literal definition of the phrase "most valuable player" applies. "
