I didn't know that about his past, I'm impressed with the group so far although watching him I get the feeling that he's gonna hate it when Mother Nature comes calling for his hair.

The day they give that man a live microphone is the day he takes over. I'm loving The Shield, but when he gets out on his own, people just don't know what they are in for. It's gonna be great.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
Lebron James had a new source of motivation to push himself and the Miami Heat to victory against the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday, thanks to a pre-game visit from North Carolina's own "Nature Boy" Ric Flair.
Before handing the Bobcats another devastating loss -- their 16th straight since losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Nov. 26 -- Lebron James and the rest of the Miami Heat received a surprising locker room visit on Wednesday. North Carolina-native and professional wrestling icon Ric Flair stopped by to speak with the reigning NBA Finals MVP, and the visit had one hell of an impression on the man commonly known as King James.
Like Us on Facebook :
"When I was a kid, I loved wrestling," Lebron James told reporters. "He was one of the guys I loved, too. I think he's one of the creators of what we call swag these days with the Rolexes and the stretch limos and all the girls and all that stuff. "
Whether it was the meeting with Flair, or some other unidentified motivator, one thing was clear during the Heat - Bobcats game: Lebron James would not be stopped. One-third of the Miami Heat's "Big Three" notched 27 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists during the contest, leaving him just shy of yet another regular season triple-double.
As for Flair, while his visit may have served as a motivator for Lebron James and the Miami Heat, the professional wrestler has found himself in quite the mess recently. Not only is Flair in the midst of yet another divorce, allegedly as a result of infidelity, but the star has had trouble keeping steady work since leaving the WWE to "compete" in TNA Wrestling. The living legend was released from his contract earlier this year, and has yet to sign a long-term contract since that time.
Update: As one reader pointed out below, Flair did make an appearance on WWE programming earlier this month; however, those close to the situation are referring to it as a one-time appearance.

If Dean Ambrose is like what everybody is saying and is gold on the mic then their already ruining The Sheild with this let's just come up out of the crowds and say nothing but attack people and then get their asses handed to them when it gets to be even numbers.
One of the main reasons The NWO worked at the begining was because they were just kicking ass left and right, who could forget when Nash threw Rey Mysterio like a dart into that storage building God that was funny.

You're assuming Shield is a tool to get new guys in the camera. Shield is a tool to promote Goldberg 2.0. Ambrose is going to have to really shine to get out from under where he is now. What little time they've given him so far, it's obvious he's the talker of the bunch. The question is, does he get the opportunity? Rains will get the biggest push. He's got the look, the build, the size and the family to be in with Vince. Rollins has a chance if he is willing to be another Jeff Hardy. Dean Ambrose is going to have to work the hardest of 'em all, he doesn't have the size, he's not pretty, and I've yet to see him do the "high flyer" routine. He's going to have to follow the path laid down by Punk. I just wonder if Vince is willing to give him a chance.eddie lee roth wrote:If Dean Ambrose is like what everybody is saying and is gold on the mic then their already ruining The Shield with this let's just come up out of the crowds and say nothing but attack people and then get their asses handed to them when it gets to be even numbers.

I think you're right on the money on all accounts. All three men have the potential to be future world champion if given the chance. That's the key word though, "chance". The company surely knows what they have on their hands with Ambrose and know that if they give him a live microphone, he could most likely be one of the greatest heels they've ever had.nakedmadman wrote:You're assuming Shield is a tool to get new guys in the camera. I especially agree with your point about Seth Rollins being their new Jeff Hardy. I thought that exact same thing the moment he started climbing that ladder at TLC.
As For Reigns, dude is a beast and there's no doubt he'll get the first shot out of anyone in the group. People are STILL complaining about the fact that he got the spot in the group instead of Kassius Ohno/Chris Hero. At first, I kind of agreed with them, but after seeing the group together, no doubt in my mind they picked the right guy. He's big and he looks like he could take your head off in a second.

I think Kassius Ohno will get added to the Shield in time. Whether someone breaks out and leaves is another story, but Ohno would fit in well I think.

I've been wondering how they're going to handle him when he does get brought up. I mean his whole character is about knocking people out with his elbow and Wade Barrett totally jacked that. They could hide that for a while if they put him with The Shield, but it's definitely got me wondering. Cause I know they don't want two people with the same type of finisher.Captain Morgan wrote:I think Kassius Ohno will get added to the Shield in time. I've heard that they are saving Ohno to be debuted solo and separate from The Shield.

- Vince McMahon is said to be in the "every show counts" mentality, both for ratings and because WrestleMania season is upon us. Every RAW show from now through the end of January is said to be stacked.
- Brock Lesnar is expected to return to WWE TV for multiple appearances in March, likely beginning in late February. Unless plans have changed, he will be building towards the WrestleMania 29 match with Triple h.
- Speaking of Lesnar, his contract expires with WrestleMania and it's unknown yet if he has re-signed for another year. WWE will be facing the same issues they do every year once WrestleMania is over with four of the expected top six headliners not appearing much if any at all after April - The Rock, The Undertaker, Triple H and Lesnar.

I'd love to see Brock get re-signed but to a contract that makes a little sense.
That asshole can skip the house shows but damn make at least 2 Raw's a month and most of the PPV's, even I think sometimes 12 is too many.

It gets less and less exciting each time he "quits" and comes back. As of right now, I don't think he's worth the money they're paying him. They've made him seem like a self-important crybaby. The night he "made his demands".... *shudders* that was bad.eddie lee roth wrote:I'd love to see Brock get re-signed but to a contract that makes a little sense.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
Yea nobody would seem to be worth that kind of money when you hardly ever see them, but when he first came back and bloodied up John Cena and they had their little run that was good business.
That's why I said have him sign a new contract but only if he's willing to be a somewhat regular on TV at least 2 maybe 3 Raw's a month isn't going to kill him.
If he doesn't want to play by that then fuck'em he should just stay home and slip into obscurity never to be heard from again.
He really doesn't have much of a UFC career to fall back on, already tried the NFL, so where else is he going to make some big money, reality will eventually hit him upside that enormous head of his one would hope.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
The night he came back was epic! I honestly thought that one moment totally killed every single thing John Cena had done in the last 8 years. Then is just gradually got worse and worse until he "left" after the PPV. Bringing in Heyman helped tremendously, but Brock needs to either be all in or all out.
I'll say this though... it's going to be interesting to see where Heyman's TRUE loyalty lies when Brock returns. Will he screw over Punk? Who knows, but I'm anxious to see it all unfold.

People can say they don't care about Lesnar but in all seriousness if the guy jumps the railing at RAW this Monday out of nowhere and decimates Cena like he did last summer, there will be a massive buzz and ratings blitz.
I hope this whole Heyman/Lesnar/Shield/Maddox/Punk deal all comes together come Mania.
