Marino was a great quarterback. He put up terrific numbers with Miami.
Is he among the greatest of all time? I don't think so. I think there are many ahead of him and they are ahead of him for good reasons:
Winning the Super Bowl at least once.

Oh for fuck sakes most experts have him well above many QB's with multiple SB wins, guys like Simms, Aikman and Bradshaw were no where near the level of Marino. Can't blame Marino for not getting a ring, Shula takes the blame and has admitted it over and over, they thought they could win on the strength of Marino's arm alone and his defenses were always mediocre or flat out sucked. Look at 99% of "top 10 QB's" ever be it on ESPN, FOX sports or even the NFL network and Marino is always above the 3 I mentioned. Saying He's not among the greatest of all time is because He didn't win a SB is flat out retarded, This basically means that Jim McMahon, Jeff Hostetler, Mark Rypian and Joe Theisman are all higher on the all time list than Dan Marino, Yeah makes a lot of fucking sense. I guess Charles Haley is the greatest player to ever lace em' up.

A coaching search is always going to include a ton of names and speculation.

To be honest, I think it boiled down to the Parcells connection. Vikings owner Wilf is obsessed with the NY Giants. And Parcells has gone out of his way to endorse Zimmer. If Zygi can't have Bill Parcells he'll try and get the next best things.

I know you're talking about the Marino era, but what about the killer B's?

I was talking strictly of The Defenses Marino played with, in his 2nd season they had the 17th ranked Defense and the #1 offense But they were favored to beat SF for some reason who had the 2nd ranked offense and a top 5 maybe even 3 defense can't remember exactly but overall I don't get how Miami was favored in that SB. I'm guessing it was because Marino had a 2013 type of season that year, If any of the killer B's were there when Marino took charge they clearly werent what they once were.

The niners should've been favored, it was kind of wierd, Marino-mania dude was everywhere that year except on fat ass Maddens all madden team who put ken o'brien in over Marino Montana took it personally I remember an interview where He was talking about leading up to the game a ton of press and all these chicks were outside of the Dolphins hotel holding their "Marry me Dan signs" and hardly any press were at the niners hotel, He felt He and his team were disrespected and He was right, they got the last laugh and He got to buy Dan a diet pepsi, thanks to the FO and Shula Marino never got to buy the next year but Hey at least They beat the bears, now that would've been an epic super bowl if Miami didn't choke vs the pats, can You imagine the hype surrounding that SB? the only team to beat the bears having to do it again. for the record I think Miami would've gotten thumped as well. Here's my take on it, S.F. the coach gets on my nerves with all his B.S., last week Aikman said during the game that he wears cleats because he's claimed his legs aren't as strong as they used to be so by wearing cleats he won't slip yea whatever you say there jackoff.

He can't help himself acting like he's still playing in the NFL and in regards to his career while he wasn't a Sanchez type of player he wasn't an all pro either.
Reminds me alot of Chucky, I get a strong sense that they both get a woody hearing and or reading about themselves.

Seattle, watching someone like Sherman I go back to thinking it's going to be funny watching that asshat fall victim to father time similar to a T.O. or Chad Johnson.

So in conclusion of the two NFC teams I say fuck'em both I don't really care either way although it would be fun to watch "The 12th Man" lose.

AFC, I'd like to see either one of these teams win it all. 1 - Brady/Belichick are a tandem for the ages, so far 5 SB's and 3 titles both of them are definitely deserving to be included in any who's the best coach or QB talks, wouldn't mind seeing them get another 4th title.

Denver, I wouldn't mind seeing Peyton win one and then call it a day without first refering to Irsay as reminding him of a certain kicker he used to play with.

What really has gotten me pissed off though is this, yesterday was my nephew's 21st birthday and my sister is having a little party this FUCKING SUNDAY AT 5 FUCKIN 30, how can you be so Goddamned stupid as to schedule a birthday party during the NFL conference championship games?

Things were a lot easier when I lived several states away from any family. Sure they'll have the game on TV but it'll be muted and people will be everywhere ruining my chances of really watching the game, so fuck each and every last one of you Sons Of Bitches this Sunday.
