I think he should be out of the NBA, but he's getting paid for his franchise (one that happens to be of mor value now than it ever has been in the past), not for being a racist. As despicable as he is, I'm not sure what else you expect?

No secret the man has been a racist since the year he purchased the team.

As much as people want him to lose the team or get kicked out without a penny to his name, well there are rules/regulations the NBA has to follow.

Sterling is not dumb. He's a racist but he has a smart team of lawyers on his side that made certain he was paid and paid well for the franchise.

How this team is worth that much $$$ is the real story.

Considering that the franchise was valued at $575 million, the fact that is sold for $2 billion is a real story.

The owners of the Knicks and Lakers must've creamed their pants when that deal went down.

He could have sold the team anytime in the last 30 years, but he obviously didn't want to.

He got TMZ'd and was forced to do something he didn't want to - sell his team. The whole point of being an 80-year old billionaire is that you get to do whatever you want and nobody can tell you shit.

That kind of sucks for the crazy old bastard.

The real question of interest for me is...did this whole bizarre story drive up the price on this team? If he had just decided to sell the Clippers 3 months ago, would he still have pocketed the 2 bill?

It's a humiliating thing for him. That 2billion is going on the pile but he's out of the club. And he's devastated by it. He's no longer allowed to even set foot in any NBA stadium ever again. It's killing him. He'll be dead from a broken heart in five years.

Sterling continues to show how thrilled he is by being forced to sell the team by backing out of the deal and suing the NBA for his lifetime ban and his 2.5 million fine.

He clearly is a very happy old man who couldn't be more satisfied by the way his golden years are playing out.
