March Madness!

Post by DaveB »

Who ya got? Think anyone can take down my Cats? I've always been nervous about going into the tournament unbeaten because I feel like it puts an added element of stress on the team. But they're playing lights out. Can't see anyone beating them outside of themselves.

Maybe Arizona? Duke? God...ANYONE but Duke 'cause as a Kentucky fan...I STILL hate Christian Laettner!

First time I haven't filled out a bracket in 20+ years. That's how far college hoops have fallen off my radar. And I live in the heart of ACC country. :|

My bracket is already busted.

And UNC almost gave the game to Harvard tonight, I'm not asking for them to go all the way, but geez guys.

It's been a tough year for Heels fans.

Why did the kid from SMU jump to block that shot when the ball had
no chance of going in to the bucket? Sucks for him. The guy is a senior.
Can't fault him for lack of hustle but you can fault him for not being smart enough to leave the ball alone.
Good call by the ref.

You're the ONLY ONE IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY who thinks that was a good call. Why am I not surprised?

I only saw a couple of replays of it...did the refs review it? Looked like a shit call to me. He didn't commit goal-tending, he caught a ball that was falling short of the basket.

Am i? Who cares except for you. The player tipped the ball at the rim. So goal tending should be called.
What should upset you is why the ref's are not allowed to review that play in the first place.

What's the rule on that? It was within the last two minutes when thing *can* be reviewed so why was this not allowed? Only certain things reviewable?

After watching it over a couple of times, it reminds me of the Cowboys Dez Bryant catch that was ruled *not* to be a catch even though it *was* a catch. It was hard to tell if he tipped the ball or if it hit the rim first. Either way, it was NOT going in the basket and imo, a really bad call.
