Mad respect for the man. Glad he chose my team.
I hope he reaches 3k in America.

Albert Pujols left game against Oakland with apparent hamstring injury running to first. If Hamilton can heat up he can pick up some slack if Albert hits the DL. Wait.

LOL. Pujols is basically worthless. If we're lucky we'll get around .250/.350/.400 out of him with about 20 HR and as the season progresses we'll see more pulled hammies, aching heels, and other assorted maladies. Yesterday Scioscia shook up the lineup and it gave immediate results. I don't look forward to when Pujols returns and Scioscia sticks him right back in the #3 spot.

I'm thinking that could go down as one of the worst contracts in history. You don't give 40 year olds a 100m.

Speaking of 100 million dollar contracts, Homer Bailey out with Tommy John surgery.

I still miss Dee Gordon, find myself looking up his stats.
That dude is the TRUTH! Fucking love him! And he and Hech are the best 2B/SS combo for the Marlins since Castillo/Gonzalez.

I have a weird devotion to the Fish. I wish attendance was up, last I check it was pretty low for that new stadium. I know someone who drives by it daily and say's they put the fucker in the wrong place.

When we traded Dee he was about my favorite player, after seasons and plate appearances where he looked scared he finally busts out into a monster season and we trade him. When Dee scored from first base during the All Star game I envisioned the RoadRunner with a flame trail.

Maybe I'll buy a Dee Fish jersey.

Nelson Cruz and Gerritt Cole named AL and NL players of the month.

Dallas Keuchel and Gerritt Cole named AL and NL pitchers of the month.

Devon Travis and Alex Guerrero ( I agree with Bumgarner about him personally ) named AL and NL rookies of the month.

Houston is on a 10 game win streak and Jose Altuve is hitting well above .400 right now. I think they're going to regress a bit and still think Seattle wins the West, but Luhnow has done a helluva job with the rebuild. That's how it's done, kids.

*edit

Blue Jays hitting coach ( Brook Jacoby ) suspended 14 games for conduct against umpires last week in Boston.

Mariners OF Austin Jackson on 15 day DL ( Ankle ).

SF looking to trade to upgrade to long term solution at 3B. I disagree with their attempt to resign Fat Panda and think he'll continue to be just average in Boston. Signing McGeehee though? That guy sucks, he's always sucked. In Japan? He sucked there too.

Mariners DFA LHP Mike Kitcham.

Nick Swisher ( knees ) set to rejoin Indians on Thursday.

Anthony Rendon ( oblique ) set to miss 3rd straight rehab game.

Ryu moved to 60 day DL. Looks like a Juneish timetable for return.

Today 100 years ago Babe Ruth hit his first of 714 HRs against the New York Yankees.

Dodgers:
Adrian Gonzalez named National League player of the month for April.
Alex Guerrero was the NL Rookie of the Month for April.

Yasmani Grandal hit a pair of three-run home runs and logged eight RBIs, Dodgers vs Milwaukee.

--------------------------------
On a despicable note.

********With the help of a career of Steroids A-Rod passes Mays with 661st career homer*********

Good luck with the HOF voters bitch. Many he never make it in. I hope ARoid gets the most bean balls in the league.

I knew the media and press would spam this seaons, I"M A YANKEE LOOK AT ME!

First - Mariano Rivera crying on the mound tour
Second - Derek Jeter rose parade tour, ya he took ROIDS, don't care how many tests.
Now - Biggest no shame ROID king of baseball pissing on the records tour.

Yankees and their fans have no shame.

Aroid and Barry aren't thought of too highly. Barry might get a HOF election someday, but Rodriguez never will. This will pass and I have yet to hear positives about Arod.

Bonds should be the 2nd to last person ever inducted behind Aroid. The only thing Barry did was hire a good PR rep. Don't say shit. To see him walk around with that smug smile on his face is disgusting.

Ran across the quote of the day.

2004 - Zeile also voiced displeasure with the Yankees, saying that he has "no desire to play again for that organization," and that "I think some of the things that happen over there are different than any other organization in baseball. I have a pretty good track record to judge that.
I don't think you have to play for NYY to know they're team is run with no disregard for the game.

What? There is no way you think Doucherod should get in before Barry. Neither will, but Bonds had the numbers without PEDs, Rodriguez didn't.

I have a sick feeling all will be forgiven and he'll be inducted someday.

I'd bet the farm Bonds was on Roids as a BEE, he was on them on college. The NCAA didn't test in Bonds days and reports were up to 40% usage, I use the higher just from what I've learned. As I was told, the higher up you went, the more that were on PED's. As Canseco said 80%, doesn't sound far off. Another source, I had some interesting conversations with Mike Morgan....Anyway.
As we know, towards the end as a pirate Barry started stacking like a horse and exploded with the Giants. His HR's went up 10+ a year......

I think Bonds on pure talent and hard work he could have been in the HOF without PED's. But it would have been a problem since everyone was on them. He wouldn't have hit anywhere near the HR's and batting percentage but he would have still been a stellar player.

What gets me the most is late in the game he still took them because technology with Roids were practically undetectable and just for lying under oath for being connected with BALCO is enough proof to keep him out of the hall, Obstruction of Justice "lol". What money will buy.
I can buy PED's today that are practically undetectable, there's more money going into PED's then stopping them. That's why players still try to get away with them today.

Puig experiences setback, aggravates hamstring in rehab game.....Go back 10 pages to the first of the season where I said Puig will pull hammy's all season long. Fucking swami!

Dodgers-Rockies game was delayed, so the teams played tic-tac-toe on Twitter. Turned out a tie. Dodgers 2 vs Rockies 1 game called in the 6th, Brett Anderson beat his old team.

David Price injures hamstring after tripping over bat, after giving up a career high 13 hits in a 6-5 win over the Royals. The umpire tossed the bat away from the plate as Price was running behind to back up the plate. DOH.

Cardinals Matt Carpenter, out 4 games with a diagnosis of "extreme fatigue." symptoms sounds worse....Give him a Jolt Cola and get back in the game.

We know he did them, but since Bonds never tested positive I think he gets in eventually. I'm also pretty certain Arod never will. He's been caught, suspended, his HR records are erroneous, and the only people that like him are Yankees fans, but they're idiots.

Arod will never enter Cooperstown.

We know it, the world knows it, I just hope the voters do the right thing and keep him out.

Bond's connection to BALCO and being convicted of a felony count of obstruction of justice over the steroid scandal should be enough to give him a restraining order from the HOF let alone be in it.
Greg Anderson being held in contempt refusing to testify should be taken in consideration. His refusal to tell the truth should be an admittance of guilt.

Bonds leaked grand-jury testimony contend that he admitted to unknowingly using "the clear," a form of the designer steroid THG and "the cream", a concoction designed to mask certain hormone ratios helping the user to beat drug tests......Another case of, we know it, the world knows its.

Rockies put up 5 in 5.2 on Kershaw. Dodgers 9 Rockies 5

I went on record before the season Kershaw was going to be human this year. He must have a tweak in that delivery or a nagging injury but there will be no CY for him. He's still has that one inning curse. With Ryu out, I don't know how LAD are doing it. They said LAD has made 40 roster moves already.
Kershaw and Kemp and Puig....So far so right, Swami! I did say the Royals would drop...Wrong. But I'm not following baseball that much with the Hockey Playoffs.

Starting to make me wonder what the mid season shopping list is going to be like, I don't expect LAD to do anything major.

Not sure if it's been said.

Felix notches 2,000th career strikeout, Seattle ace becomes 4th-youngest to reach mark.

Kershaw might come close but I don't think he'll catch the King. Have to do the math. Probably be off under 100SO, not sure. That's if things go normal.

Call it Karma call it Deja Vu but I'm getting an odd feeling.

Matt Kemp puts together a few good seasons, has a break out year, signs a $160m contract and is picked a 5 tool next best player in the league then pulls a hamstring before the season, misses 60 games and never recovers to stardom.

Puig's given a $47m for a player who's never walked on US soil, pumped as the next superstar, has two promising seasons then pulls a hamstring, plays 11 games out of 31 and he looks like he's not coming back anytime soon....

Dodgers IR List - Ryu, Puig, Crawford, Kenley Jansen, Brandon McCarthy....2/3 of our outfield, 7 pitchers including out closer hasn't played a game.

The Dodgers are 6-5 in Puig's 11 starts and 15-5 without him in the lineup. :P :P
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Tonight's game, my two teams in the NL faced each other...

Marlins 1R 5H
Dodgers 11R 21H

Bolsinger W
Haren L

Giancarlo Stanton blast one out of Dodger stadium, Chavez Ravine......Literally
Projected 475 feet third-longest homer tracked by Statcast; ball goes over stands in left. With an exit velocity of 114 mph.

In the history of Dodger Stadium, Stanton hit the fifth home run to leave the building. The others were by Mark McGwire (483 feet, May 22, 1999), Mike Piazza (478 feet, Sept. 21, 1997), Willie Stargell (470 feet, May 8, 1973) and Stargell (506 feet, 6 inches, Aug. 5, 1969).

I'm sure it will be an ESPN highlight, it left faster then my ex.

You understand there's different types of steroids right? Of course not. Now they have designer roids but back then, a different story.

The percentage of pitchers who used PED's was drastically less back then, next to none early on. Not to mention it's apples and oranges in comparison. I know pitchers who tried steroids and it lowered their velocity, Mike Morgan and *others told me pitchers didn't stand in the same line as hitters back in the day. pitching isn't about having strength or big muscles, bigger muscles retract when throwing.
As time went on more Pitchers started using different steroids to help recovery time which is a major risk for injury. Anti-inflammatory steroids, steroids like cortisone shots my doctor shoots my elbow up twice a year with but they didn't use them strike fuckers out. It helped older players still pitch as they aged or was in pain but it didn't improve their game. It gave them longevity. PED's is a huge advantage to a batter compared to a pitcher.

How many stupid pitchers looked like Mike Hampton in the day?
Sure pitchers started getting positive tests and tried PED's to improve their game but steroids don't help your curve ball, slider or fast ball, that has to do with tendons not muscles.

It's pathetic how you defend your hero for blatant cheating and pissing on the game. If he played for the Dodgers you'd hate him that's how pathetic your are.

Bullshit. You are your trolls always think you know best but the reality is you and your boys hardly know anything.
ARod is not my hero. Pay attention and you might learn something.
IMO, the entire steroid era is much ado about nothing. MLB wanted the players to use steroids because the games popularity level was very low.
The strike was a few years old. Teams like the Expos were possibly robbed of a WS title.
Here comes the players with steroids and the next thing the public knows is there are certain players making national headlines and the majority of the country cannot wait until their next at bat.
The game survived and thrived as a result.
IMO, the situation is ridiculous. The players were left out to dry, while the owners and the commish laughed all the way to the bank. The same owners and the commish all washed their hands on the matter and were quick to point fingers anywhere but in their own direction.

If MLB fans wants the 500 foot home runs and offensive/pitching records to be broken, then players will need PED's in order to make that happen.
If the MLB fans want the 162 game season and the extended playoffs and for games to be played in November, then players will need those PED's in order to recover from the previous night game and play at a high level.

Are you Bipolar? You go from zero to bat shit stupid in 4.5 seconds, you're all over the fucking place which has NOTHING to do with what we were talking about in the first place. When you're wrong or confused you take off on vacation or go on a rant and lash out.
Me and my trolls? I don't know about trolls, maybe you're playing too much World of War Craft. I hinted but never talked about it over the years but ya, playing football and other sports I met a lot of lower level sports players including knowing and playing against some professional players. So piss off with your ESPN magazine.

Are you daft?

PED's is a reason players are getting hurt! Steroids UN-naturally builds muscles mass.....It don't strengthen tissue, tendons, ACL or joints leading players to blow more ankles, hamstrings, sprains, ACL's, muscles tears, joint problems and other countless other issues.
Because of Roids a co-player popped a pectoral muscle benching and also needed shoulder surgery because the inflammation in the rotator cuff caused bone spurs and chips. I suffer from the same cuff injury.

Steroids like cortisone can lead to nerve damage, deterioration of cartilage and tissue, osteoporosis, torn tendons and again a countless list of issues.

Giving an injured player something so they can play the next night is how players end up with season and career ending injuries. You have no clue how closely that shit needs to be moderated.

I wonder how you tie your shoes in the morning.
