Should I make the ten hour drive to Sunrise if Isles and Panthers play?

I agree. I can't remember anyone doing anything so dangerous and deliberate receiving that light a sentence.pieceofme wrote:Yep. Should have been more.NeverSurrender wrote:johnk5150 wrote:6 games for Keith.
Must be nice to be a superstar. Repeat offender too.
With Boston losing, the Panthers clinched today.
Looks like the Islanders are our most likely opponent.
He's like the Liberace of bass & pot.

Even if the Bruins make the playoffs, which I doubt they will, Claude is a goner.
No way he survives his second straight late season collapse.

I'll bet you a US dollar he winds up in Ottawa, though.

As soon as they went down 2-1, I said "Must win game at home and they're gonna lose 6-1. Fucking pathetic".
Go Flyers.

They were never a playoff team. Julien did a good job to get them playing for something at game 82 with that defense. I like the forward group with prospects going forward. Ton of cap room after shoveling out from Chia's hole. Throw it at the D.Facedown wrote:As soon as they went down 2-1, I said "Must win game at home and they're gonna lose 6-1. Fucking pathetic".

Nate Leaman of Providence College seems like the top coaching candidate. Julien to Ottawa most likely.

Re: The official NHL thread
From December on, anything that could have gone wrong for the Habs did:
Price playing only 11 games all year
Gallagher missing 29 games
Subban missing 15
Petry and Beaulieu, our. 3/4 missing significant time
Habs were an AHL team the last 6 weeks.
If you are going to miss the playoffs, might as well get a top 10 pick!
I wish they would fire Therrien, but he's getting to get a pass because of the injuries. I hate that as he's offensively clueless and not great with young players.
I like the core of: Price, Subban, Pacioretty, Galchenyuk, and Gallagher.
They have three good young goalies in the system now (Fucale, Lindgren, and to a lesser extent Condon).
I like a D of: Subban, Markov, Petry, Beaulieu, Emelin, Pateryn, and Barbiero, and 4-5 kids got a look at the NHL this year.
Up front the Habs have a plethora of good 3rd/4th liners. They need to add TWO legit top 6 forwards, easier said than done, and they will be a contender again - with a healthy Price.
Time to go to work Mr. Bergevin!

Probably one of the better opening series, hope the Isle's go down.
Fucking fuck. It sure went to hell the last week, good games Rangers. From the 2 spot, to a wc to the 3.
Either way I'm still keeping my Hagelin Jersey. Shit trade, still root for the guy.
Last year at this time he was a Ranger sending the Pen's home in the first round.
This year he's a Pen probably sending the Rangers home in the opening round.
At least Boston and Montreal are out.

They weren't going to win the Cup or anything but they certainly had the talent to make the playoffs.
They were the 3rd seed a month or so ago. I'm just glad they didn't make it because now they have to make improvements.....if they know how to.

Is it a good draft year? I think the Oilers are a couple more top picks away from putting together a full team.dmbrocker wrote:I'm surprised the Habs didn't make the playoffs this season...Interesting fact: none of the Canadian NHL teams did...
#19 - Ottawa
#22 - Montreal
#25 - Winnipeg
#26 - Calgary
#28 - Vancouver
#29 - Edmonton
#30 - Toronto
I wonder what it does to the ratings.

I'm still a fan of the Oilers trading the pick for immediate help on the back end, enough with the draft picks and prospects.UtahRatt wrote:Is it a good draft year? Read a story the other day how because of the Oilers theirs a pushing need to change the odds into not allowing a team to have 1st picks in consecutive years. It shows it takes more then picks....Burning through GM's and coaches don't help not to mention they seem to have lost a system. Development of players and such. They're a mess, I agree it's time to trade the picks for players. Being a Rag fan I wasn't a believer in Talbot as a starter without building a system around him and loading up on D.

Last year and 2013 definitely better. Probably on par with 2014. Better than 2012!

I'm a fan of Talbot and he did well this year but I don't think any goalie would do well with the Oilers D...built up the back end with some legit top pairing D, trade some of the "core" for help, trade the pick, I don't care..keep McDavid, Nurse and Draisaitl..build around that..I'm sure Hall/Nuge/Ebs would fetch them some good defence.

Pen's vs Rag's.......Is it normal for home fans to cheer when a player goes down then to bust out the boooo's for taking time to go to the bench when Hank got injured?
Or are Pen fans just douche bags?
Pen's are still my 2nd favorite team but thought it was a pretty retarded crowed reaction. This after they trolled him on twitter.....They sure like them pen's. Of course the game was almost unwatchable, the commentators sucked hard with the emotion of a pet rock, "Well, maybe they're just mad after being kicked out of the last two playoffs by the Rangers"
Good excuse....

I don't hate Claude, he's a great coach. Turned the Bruins around when he came aboard. When you bench, constantly, young players for making one mistake and then give a useless veteran like Jimmy Hayes, who couldn't put the puck in the ocean and makes multiple mistakes per game, first team power play time, your system is flawed.
He'll turn around another franchise some day, hopefully it's soon.

Florida are beating the Islanders in 6. Good bounce back game for Luongo in game 2. He really needed that.

Took Smith and Bjugstad in the late rounds of my playoff pool (and Barkov earlier on), so I'm stoked about how Smith is playing.
Panthers are my dark horse to come out of East.

Yeah, they take this series in 6. They have a good chance to make the East finals. But either Washington or Pittsburgh will probably be too much.WOLF wrote:/\

Anyone like Saturday highlights?
Mason..........whoops.
Dubnyk, somethings on your back dood
Carlson, sweet hovercraft snap was like knee high laser
Richards road killing Nick Cousins
Ovechkin puts Schenn on the bench
Lecavalier's goal looked like a bottleneck on the 101 in front of the net but it's Sharknado 2 in LA.
Hits - game1, Rags 50 Pens 35 - game2, Rags 57 Pens 25 - Stepan face plants
Sharks, Stars, Caps, Bolts 2-0
