Hope Skeletor Jones realizes now, he best start finding and weeding out QB's to replace Romo. It is time.
RG3? Why? They already have a no name and 2nd qb just as bad as him.. Not sure what Dallas does. They will probably just ride it out, thinking there is nothing wrong, as usual.
But, hey, they count on the running game to help out Weeden... LOL. WRONG....
Boy, it is just bad..
At least it ain't as bad as the Egals situation.. What a pathetic home showing. Brilliant Kelly, fuckin moron. Trade for a shitty QB to get an even Shittier QB. Does he watch film? One wouldn't think so.
Have some faith Chico? The season is only 2 games old. Romo will return. Dez will return. Good thing Murray is not returning, LOL!
Do you think Murray misses the Dallas OL?
Anyway, tough to win a lot of games with the #2 QB. Hoping that Weeden goes .500 while Romo is out. All anybody can ask for.

Re: The NFL Thread
4-4 while Romo is out is doable. I think 3-5 is most likely. The schedule isn't brutal but they do have the patriots lurking in there.

Just pointing out that it's weird to say "Good thing Murray is not returning, LOL!", when your current RB situation has dropped off that much.

2 games gone.
So far Murray looks like shit behind that Eagles OL. How many times has he been shown shouting and screaming his displeasure on the sidelines after 2 games?
Dallas is still running for a respectable number of yards on the ground per game. They don't have the #1 back, but maybe someone will emerge
before the season is over.

Aside from a Madden game, what has Weeden shown in the past that gives you any belief that he can help win games for Dallas? He looked tentative and scared when he played last season. It will a struggle for sure. Unless the defense can keep playing at a high level. Obviously getting Hardy back should help, along with McClain. But, the offense is still the offense. No Romo, Bryant and sorry, No Murray? With a RB by committee , which doesn't work in Dallas, a Backup QB which is a huge drop off in talent. That is expected though.
I will still cheer on, but, I just won't have to have a heart attack.

And Suh better start earning that check, I had a bad feeling before that jags game. Tannehill at least has looked great.

Great? They've played the Jag's and Texans...Ranked 28th and 31st respectively. Not impressive wins at that.kylel wrote:How about those Panthers. Doing great so far. Who seen that flip into the end zone? Dude is a monster when he wants to be.
The Panthers had a fight with both the Jag's and the Ryan Mallett Texans.
NFL headline - "Cam carries Panthers to ugly win over Texans"
ESPN headline - "Five teams with worse records rank ahead of Panthers in Power Rankings" Panthers, 14th to 15th.....In the bleachers report behind teams like the Jet's and the Vikings.
Cam vs two of the worst teams.
18 out of 31 175yds 1INT vs Jags
18 out of 37 195yds 1INT vs Texans
52.9% 35th completion percentage in the league.
$103.8 million dollar Cam is last in the league in yards passing, 34th in QBR to go with his 3TD 2INT's. Not to mention Cam is what 7yds from leading the team in rushing? I guess if he can't pass he might as well run.
Johnny Manziel didn't start the season has thrown 29 less passes with almost as many yards and a higher QB rating. Including the same amount of TD's and less INT's.
With that being said.....
Cam Newton apparently has talent that goes beyond flipping over defensive linemen in a single bound. Nickelodeon on Tuesday made official that Newton will host a new kids show called “I Wanna Be." He's gonna be a monster on Nickelodeon!
I'm just fucking with ya and it's only two games in, ya that was a wicked goal line flip but the Panthers as a team look worse then last year. You'd think they'd get him some weapons, they drafted a WR that has yet to show his face but letting Cam run the ball more then Jonathan Stewart? If they can't get some resemblance of a passing game there's going to be some problems.
Cam's a $100 million dollar Terrelle Pryor.

Re: The NFL Thread
The Panthers' defense is solid, but they're gonna struggle to score points. Cam has never been a super accurate passer, but with Kelvin Benjamin out, that gets magnified 10x. Ted Ginn and Philly Brown will make a play here and there, but they'll drop half the passes thrown to them. And Jonathan Stewart isn't exactly tearing it up, so Newton has to be the rushing game too. Should be a lot of low scoring, ugly games this year.
It's a good thing Cam wasn't born with RG3's frame. He'd be dead by now.

How many yards, how many touchdown passes without a pick do you think Brady will need this week to get Offensive Player of the week?

I've reached my breaking point with the Redskins. I have been a fan since I was five years old and this is it for me. I can't handle any more looking at Gruden looking confused on the sidelines. I can't handle sloppy, undisciplined play. I can't handle a team owned by Daniel Snyder. I'm through with this franchise until he sells the team. I can't do it anymore.

You KNEW the Skins were gonna be hot garbage this season. This isn't news. I picked them to go 4-12. I'm sure you did too...so why the meltdown? Yeah it sucks getting beat down on prime team season after season but that's the price we pay for being fans of a shitty team.
I DO see some improvement. They are better than last season. The line is significantly better. The defense is a little better (tackling is much improved).
Unfortunately there's not an NFL QB on this roster. Next season, new coach, new QB, another draft and FA for the new GM, I think we might be looking at 8-8.
I'm already wondering if Gruden gets fired halfway through this season and is replaced by line coach Callahan. Gruden clearly has no idea what he is doing and is yet another crony hire from Bruce Allen. Hopefully the new GM is picking the coach next time around.
Re: The NFL Thread
Kam Chancellor's holdout is over....Fuck him. Everyone in Seattle loves to hold out.
Kam signs a contract for 5 years and is paid at the top for his position then after what, two years, he holds out and wants more because everyone else on the team did! But no one else held out during GAMES! Not to mention he's still one of the top paid Safety's.
With Sherman's mouth along with his demands and all the other holdouts, for team I supported for a long time I'm really finding it hard to like this group of individuals. I hope they lose.
It's a good thing any number of these money hungry hold out's didn't finish the contracts they signed or even worse, take one for the team or Seattle would have an O-line and some WR's to go along with that D.
"As someone who has been on both sides, and having seen these disputes from many angles, I understand Chancellor’s point but would have had several arguments against it. First, Chancellor was paid at the top of his position, strong safety, and the market has not advanced since that time. Second, Chancellor and his agent negotiated a five-year deal (with three years remaining), choosing the longer length that came with the higher bonus and guaranteed money allocated to that term. Chancellor and his agent could have easily negotiated a shorter term deal—with less bonus and guarantees—especially if he felt he was “taking one for the team.” Third, Chancellor could have taken less early money—bonus and first-three-years cash—and loaded more into 2016, the year and salary ($5.1 million) that seem to be the focus of his attention.
In the scheme of which side is more “to blame” for this uncomfortable contract situation, it is hard to have a lot of empathy for a player only 40% of the way through his contract."

You know how I feel about this stuff...players' careers are short, they take all the risks and do all the work, and as far as I'm concerned they can do whatever they want to get as much money as possible. Sometimes it backfires, I don't think it worked out for Marshawn.
Re: The NFL Thread
I've had time to cool off.
Levi, frustration boiled over. I can't quit on my team. I think I wrote that right after the Jones fumble. As for sucking, yes, I knew this year would suck. I picked them to go 2-14. I got some false hope after last week and really thought they were going to make a statement. They made a statement for sure.
