You crack smoking imbecile. Edgerrin James would have had half as many yards if he played when Dickerson did. You are a fool.

Non Edgerin James related query for P-13:

Before this season started, you were saying - frequently - ridiculous things like "ANDREW LUCK IS THE MOST HYPED QB PROSPECT EVER!!!!!!!!!"

If true, why does Sportcenter keep burying Colts highlights 30 minutes into their shows? You'd think the most hyped QB prospect in the history of the NFL would be getting a little more coverage? Instead he's always shown way after other highlights - say, Redskins and RG3 highlights for instance.

What's up with that? Why doesn't the media care about Luck any more?

I don't buy into "what ifs." Never have, never will. To me, they're the same as excuses. The numbers are what they are. Edge > Dickerson.

You want me to explain why Luck isn't featured more on Sportscenter? Really?? I don't know, I'm not a producer for the show. I also haven't really watched the show much since they started featuring videos of gorillas dunking and 14 year old kids making trick shots in their backyard.

I don't really care what the entertainment value of Luck is right now. Maybe RG3 is the "flashier" QB, but right now he's got the same record as Luck.

Obviously Colts vs Jaguars was not one of the best matchups of the week, so I would expect that highlights from that game wouldn't be featured prominently. Also it was a pretty ugly game on both sides, not much to really talk about on BSPN.

James had 11 receiving touchdowns to 6 for Dickerson and 1000 more receiving yards. Who had more rushing touchdowns?

I'm not saying Edgerrin James sucked. Dude was a good back, but better than Dickerson? Walter Payton only had 4 more receiving TDs than James and 1000 more receiving yards. Do you consider the 2 backs at the same level?

Redskins - and their bold, black, and beautiful new QB, Robert Griffin III - lead the league in scoring.

It honestly is a bit of consolation for their absolutely wretched defense, considering how bad the offense has been since Norv Turner and Brad Johnson left. Still...if we had even a mediocre defense this team would be in solid contention.

Maybe next year. Still, I've seen the Skins lose 20-17 games for a decade now. At least losing 40-32 will be more entertaining.

So Time Warner and NFL Network finally worked their shit out. This was my first Sunday of in-house NFL Network.

Holy fuck, it's almost unwatchable. And I'm not talking about just the pre-postgame stuff. It's really, really weird watching the highlights.

It's kind of like watching normal NFL highlights, except with 5 really loud and possibly coked up people screaming at each other as loud as possible, without saying anything that has anything to do with the game. So fucking terrible.

Which demographic are they going after with this? Do they have focus groups that declared they prefer their highlights with Deion, Sapp, and Irvin babbling incoherently over them?

Still glad I finally got it, for thursday games and for the replays, but this network is completely useless otherwise.

I only have the NFL network on Comcast for those special Thurs night games and to watch the highlights.

IMO, Comcasts RedZone channel sucks. Nothing like having the NFL package via Direct T.V.
If only the NFL would allow cable providers to offer the NFL package.

Exactly!
I'm not a big football fan, but what I do watch is ONLY the game. When it is pre game/half time/or post game coverage I change the channel or put tv on mute.

Same here. Half Time for me means a much needed bathroom break, warming up some food and watching something else for 15 minutes.
If I have the game on the DVR, then obviously I can fast forward over the commercials and avoid the non-sense analysis from 4-5 morons who have nothing constructive to say about the game.

The ending TD was fucking horrible.

It's like watching football from the 70s/80s, the calls are bad. During that time I lived by the "You win some you lose some calls" motto. Didn't complain too much just a part of life. A part of me likes the lame rookie reff's they have brought back some toughness to the game. WR have to work again. Bring back stickum! Bring back a WR/DB battle to the ball, bring back a QB being able to be tackled. It's why today's running backs and WR's have destroyed numbers, they couldn't play in the older and more tougher eras. Now it's a fight, none of this pussy "diving" and "crying" for flags. FIGHT for the fucking ball bitches. Stallworth, Capser, Dupree...They all had battle each game. I'm starting to love that part of it. Just be more consistent that's all.

PE13 don't under stand how different the game has changed. Comparing The Edge's stats to players from past decades. Bitch Please, today's game is to protect offensive players, higher scoring. It's touch football. Panzy ball. Pee13 knows all about being 125lb panzy.

2nd half team, Niners will be there going into the playoffs. San Diego is another them I feel will have a better 2nd half. Denver should win the west easy but they wont and it will come down to the final couple week. Still Say they win the west but not with a dominating effort.

The regular NFL refs make bad calls and miss calls now and then, but nothing like these stupid replacement refs. I watched 4 games this past weekend and the refs managed to fuck up majorly in every single one. These idiots can't even mark off a penalty (see the TN game) and put the ball on the right side of the field. Even worse is their lack of procedural knowledge, allowing for timeouts, measurements, and reviews when they are not permitted. The season is turning into a joke. Goodell needs to get this thing solved before Sunday.

It's the same shit every game.

During the Redskins game, which I watched in a bar with the sound off, the Skins' had an injury during the two-minute drill. With 1 minute left on the clock. The refs stopped the clock.

Now I know, since I watch football a lot, that they should run some time off the clock. The Skins were out of timeouts.

But no, that never happened. They gave the Skins a free injury timeout.

Shit like that happens every game all of the time.

It's pretty sad when half of the fans watching the game know the rules better than the guys that are supposed to be officiating it. At the very least they should have someone from the NFL offices overseeing the refs at each game communicating with the head official so they get the procedural stuff right.

I get that some calls such as holding or pass interference can be subjective and as long as they call it consistently for both sides it should keep things even. But something is wrong when the refs stand there staring at each other because they can't even spot the football.

I normally take a little "for entertainment purposes only" action each week, but with these refs I won't even touch the pick 4 games for $1 cards. Hypothetically I haven't spent $750-$1000 so far this year. I'm sure the people who go for big action feel the same way.

It's getting to be about the time where Goodell wakes up with a horse head in his bed.

Goodell really fucked this up. His worst nightmare came true last night.
The scab refs are not qualified to be on the field and last night the scab refs cost 1 team a win because they could not get the call right.

I watched a lot of post-game shows/discussions on t.v. and every single one of these experts/former players had nothing nice to say about what happened.
Several former players said what happened last night truly bothers them to the point where they are embarrassed and do not recognize the game currently.

Previous to last night the work the scab refs have done to date has been borderline ridiculous.
Well that line has certainly been crossed.

Instead of being pro-active, once again a league like the NFL waited for something drastic to happen during one of their games before doing the right thing.
