Wow Miami's D actually showed up albeit against a hobbled rookie, not looking forward to them going up against NE in the future, Their secondary is their weak spot Gronk will have a field day, a lot of dolphin fans are already anointing Campbell, it was good to see them get a W and I like his intensity but calm the fuck down, Sean Peyton will land in mia or indy, after that funny ass fake punt attempt I'm thinking Pagano might get his walking papers by week 8. I've never seen such a clusterfuck of a play.

Anyone see that botched fake punt by the Colts that gave away the game to New England? Poor P13/Sixxvette must be crying in his Carb Day mug over that one...

Along with what Utah has said about trying to pay the top stars on Seattle's team and the inevitable down-slide that that causes let's not downplay the fact that Dan Quinn is no longer there also.

Rob Gronkowski became the fastest T.E. to get 60 TD's needing just 70 games while the 2nd fastest T.E. to do that Antoino Gates needed 110 games to reach that stat.

That's 40 fucking games faster, holy shit Gronk is a bad motherfucker.

The NFL has no idea what a catch is.
The receiver turns into a runner or the runner turns into a receiver.
Even the ref's have no clue who the runner is and is not.
I think a similar play like what happened to Detroit has occurred 3 times
this season. All appeared to be catches and TD's, but all 3 were ruled
incomplete passes

And this, incidentally, is the same time the NFL still wants to give Brady, and will appeal in court to do so, for the equivalent of a parking ticket.
Which just goes to show you that Goodell has not one fucking clue.

Oh, and this die hard Pat's fan all the way back to 1979 would not want Hardy or Suh on the team, ever. 8)

Last year Gronk had his fourth season of 10+ TD's and so did Gates.
First two to do it, both in the same season, but both on other ends of their careers.
Keep in mind he caught 11 in 2012, and only played in 11 games.

Tony Gonzalez had three in his career. Think about that for a second.
Gronk, if he can stay healthy may end up as the best tight end ever.

Why mention Suh in the same breath as Hardy? He's dome some stupid shit on the field but that's far cry from doing what Hardy and Rice did. Suh's impact was felt yesterday, Cam Wake and Vernon teamed up for 4 sacks because Suh was getting doubled teamed, You Wouldn't want the best DL in the league on your team especially with wilfork gone?, it's not like he's a criminal, I wouldn't blame you for the cash reasons that contract is just ridiculous.

Gronk had a shitty game yesterday and still managed to do some damage. If the Pats could get one guy to stretch the field (not just a guy who can run fast, but someone who can actually run a route and catch the ball deep) it would be truly frightening what Gronk could do.

trying to outsmart Belichick, or catch his team unprepared, with that disaster of a fake punt gag, which was ill-conceived and poorly executed, was a bad idea.

times like these I miss P13 -- he would have had some crazy excuse for how it was the Patriots' fault (like jumping on the idea that one of them must have yelled "hut!")

took me watching the play about 4 times before i even noticed the OL was
in an illegal formation. only because the comedy was coming from the 2 Colts that were lined up to snap the ball.
should Pagano lose his job over this fail? probably not but i doubt he will attempt another trick play anytime soon.

This is how the new 49ers stadium looks when a FG kicker makes
an attempt.

I'm sure the turf will be repaired in time for the SB, eh?

I didn't mean to imply they were the same.
But you know how the argument is you hate them until they join your team.
I can't stand Richard Sherman, but I wouldn't mind him on my team.
No so with Suh, he's a suspension waiting to happen, and an asshat.

When the best thing about the MNF game was the debut of a movie trailer at half-time you know you've got a real stinker on your hands. Perhaps this Thursday's Niners/Seahawks game will be better. It better be for Seattle fans it's getting real close to shit or get off the pot time for that team if they want to make a playoff run.

I like Seattle but that was a sweet TD....I totally broke down the last drive, calls, catches and execution. It was set up perfectly and Olsen burned them all day long.

The TD was a communication breakdown in the secondary combined with great play calling from the Panthers.
The score was set up by the plays before, The Panther's were running WR's underneath across the hash marks. Both Cotchery and Ginn's catches was pulling Kam and Earl up and up.

Kam or Earl was out of position but Olsen should have been picked up.
Earl would normally be responsible because Kam plays more underneath vs the run but it's depends on their assignment it could go either way. I'd say Earl was out of position but Sherman was bitching at Kam like it was Kam's fault. I personally blame Sherman and think Earl was out of position.

-------------- IMO

From the snap.......The far side was loaded
Olsen came off the line in Sherman's zone, Sherman drops back then see's a RB release. This slowed Sherman up allowing Olsen to break free.
In zone, Sherman is supposed to release the TE to Kam or Earl but they were tied up in the middle. You're taught if no one is there to release on a deep ball you stick with him so they don't get the TD. Having no one over the top and a RB coming out of the backfield put Sherman in limbo and leaving him confused. The OLB would or should have picked up the RB.

Earl should have been deeper and clearly should have dropped back and moved over but he didn't see Olsen in time and hesitated. He acted like Sherman was covering Olsen.

Sherman should have stuck with Olsen all the way. He seen no one was over the top, you see Sherman wave for help then he slows up when a RB releases out of the backfield. Sherman should have been locked at that point.

Kam was underneath, you see him racing to drop back as he was out of the play. The other side was loaded and he should have been deeper but that's where Cotchery and Ginn's routs and catches forced him to pull up to get in on the tackles.

So even if Kam was out of position, Earl or Sherman didn't pick it up. Sherman noticed it but released Olsen freely into the EndZone anyway. That's why I blame Sherman even if someone was out of position you don't let Olsen walk into the End Zone.
This stuff that happens when Kam holds out of camp and players don't get on the same page but Seattle couldn't cover Olsen all day anyway and Newton drove right down the gut on that last drive.

Hat's off to the Panthers........The TD was a total breakdown. Well, that and Olsen was on fire.

Just when I want to think the 49ers have turned it around or believe Seattle is going to wet the bed again on Thurs night, I'm unclear which team will escape with a W.
Kap seems to be playing with some confidence, while Seattle has never played worse.
Makings of a good game.

Not only did I love the self pwned fake punt fail but all the head lines and quotes are great! Including ones saying Pagano "shouldn't" be fired for the fake failed punt! Then Pagano saying he didn't regret it! I'm glad Pagano didn't regret it because that was one of the greatest call ever. I'm his biggest fan, it gives me hope that someday I could become a head coach. Thanks for the laughs.

I wonder if P13 was involved in the play, his posts sure failed like it.
