Notre Dame is the only undefeated team to beat two top 15 teams.

It was fun while it lasted, ND. it's going to take a miracle for them to come back.

Wrong. Alabama beat #8 Michigan and #11 Mississippi State prior to today. And we just (barely) beat #5 LSU.NeverSurrender wrote:Notre Dame is the only undefeated team to beat two top 15 teams.

Re: College Football season has begun!
My prediction...and it could likely to play out...
Alabama will meet Georgia in the SEC title game...and Bama will win by 14 or less. Bama will sew up the #1 ranking and lock in its BCS Championship slot...
Oregon will win out its schedule, and then win the Pac 12 title...but based on favoritism, will be leapfrogged by Kansas State who also wins out and takes the Big 12 title, and gets the nod for #2 vs Alabama in the BCS Title game.
Notre Dame will likely win out as well, and since they have no conference allegiance, they will face Oregon in the Runners Up(Rose) Bowl ...where Oregon comes out on top
Yeah...it could happen...but truthfully, it is most likely to be Alabama vs Oregon for the BCS Title game....

I went downstairs and played Mario Kart with my youngest son Saturday after ND's idiot kicker missed the (%#$*()ing extra point. I almost shit my pants when I came back up and it was in overtime number 2.NeverSurrender wrote:Miracles do happen.johnk5150 wrote:NeverSurrender wrote:It was fun while it lasted, ND. it's going to take a miracle for them to come back.

Re: College Football season has begun!
My Grandma always told me a story about my Great Gramps listening to ND games on the radio. He would walk around the block when they were losing and only stay in the house when they were winning. For every lap around the block, he would come in, wait until he heard the score then stay in if they were winning, and walk more if they were still losing. I was thinking about trying this Saturday.

That's my M.O. When the Bears are playing like a bunch of retards (last week against Carolina anyone?) I have a clean garage, a perfect backyard things get done around house johnk5150. It's better than teaching my sons new words I guess.NeverSurrender wrote:My Grandma always told me a story about my Great Gramps listening to ND games on the radio. Hats off to Texas A&M for getting the job done where LSU couldn't close the deal.
No aggie jokes for a week.
(I love to see Nick Saban lose)

Re: College Football season has begun!
A&M came in and played a full 4 quarter game. I`m a Bama fan through and through, but I give the Aggies a ton of credit...1st time in Tuscaloosa, freshman QB, new conference and playing the #1 team and defending National Champs...and they played magnificently.exitflagger wrote:Hats off to Texas A&M for getting the job done where LSU couldn't close the deal.

Alabama had some mishaps that cost them some points...the Yeldon turnover after the 51yd pass, the 2 interceptions that McCarron threw, specifically the last, as well as the defense just not playing as well as it should/could.
Bama has no one to blame but themselves, so now they need to dust off this loss, plan for Auburn and Georgia, and see where they end up for the season in the BCS...then on to next year...Roll Tide Roll!

They can give him whatever he wants. Watching the ESPN hacks have to suck that up after cheering for Bama all season was awesome. Not t mention all the "Roll Tide" dorks I live around.

LOL Tide!
Thanks to Syracuse for giving its fans the annual "maybe next year" hopeful victory against a good team.

Syracuse will never get enough good football players to go live in that climate. They always have half a good team, and half a crappy team.
It is much easier to get a few kids to go play basketball for Jimmy B.

Re: College Football season has begun!
They had a really nice run in the early and mid 90s (thanks Donovan McNabb) but they made some really bad choices for head coaches and the recruiting suffered. I don't think they are going to do well in the new conference but hopefully the exposure will translate into some better talent.

Re: College Football season has begun!
I can handle it if my team loses a game due to lack of talent or something like that. But to have a championship calibur blow it like that is downright embarassing.
They played like a little league team two weeks in a row. For shame Bama!

Re: College Football season has begun!
Oh Noes....the Tide is a rising again....
#2 Oregon loses to Standford in OT and #1 Kansas State gets completely demolished by Baylor...and #3 Notre Dame moves to 10-0 and the new #1 spot. And would you lookie there, here comes the Crimson Tide back into the #2 position and possibly their 2nd BCS title game in 3 years...

i refuse to watch that show with Mark May and Lou Holtz. those two are fools and the sad part is, they each think they are relevant to the game.
will be so great to see ND lose at USC next Saturday.
you have to think USC is going to play a heck of a lot better after getting beat by UCLA this weekend.
