Just read an article about that:

http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/28100892
That was an excellent article. The flopping is what pisses me off. A player goes down with that fake shit, no whistle sounds and instead of getting the fuck up and helping, he is still trying to sell his "injury".
It pisses me off as well. Since I came to North America and really got into Hockey, seeing that shit really aggravates me. I never liked it or condoned it before, but being into different sports has really opened my eyes to it. Football is still one of my favourite sports, but I'm not as passionate about it as I once was. Also, liking Rubgy doesn't help the football cause.

Fuck, another favorite with last-minute luck. Was the round of 16 ever this close before?

Grr. I can't get the coverage of the US/Belgium game to stream at work. It's been fine every other time I've tried. I may need to shut this joint down early and go home. USA!! USA!!

Fellaini has been worthless for Belgium. Get rid, Van Gaal!

Aghhhhhhhhhh.

The US played on it heels the whole game. Belgium is very disciplined and methodical.

Too bad. It went as well as you could have hoped for, though. Great game by Howard and awesome finish in the second half of extra time. Can't believe Julian Green, the guy was basically an amateur here.

It went as well as I could reasonably have expected I guess, but I'd hoped for more. At least I've still got the Vaterland to cheer for. Hope I don't jinx you.

Geoff Cameron was placed in the midfield specifically to harass Fellaini. Not a bad performance considering his previous match against Portugal was a disaster.

Loved watching the match but not shocked at all. I predicted 3-0 or 3-1 Belgium.

I kind of wish Klinsmann went more offensive but it might have been 4-1 at the half if he did do that considering how well Belgium played. Oh, well. Gonna like watching the Gold Cup next year. I expect Klinsmann to call in a lot of new faces.

Rooting for Colombia for a good friend, Costa Rica for CONCACAF, Argentina for my pre-cup pick and Germany for my family.

For the quarters I'd like Germany, Columbia, Belgium and Costa Rica to go through, but I'd bet against all of them.

Always amazes me that the best teams always find a way to win....somehow. Whether a last minute goal/save, pen's or just plain luck. They just do.

Last 4:
Colombia
Holland
Germany
Argentina

I'll be surprised if Blatter doesn't find a way to get Brazil to the final.

True, playing against USA in the World Cup used to have the same ring as playing Saudi Arabia or Cyprus or some shit not too long ago. And following this shit since I was born, I can tell that definitely changed recently. Same as with the women's team under Pia Sundhage (yeah, I even watch bitch soccer... fuck off), Klinsmann gained, if nothing else, some fan momentum as a fighting team that's fun to root for, even for non-Americans. Nobody underestimates the team, and it will only get better (as long as there's army base mulattos left in Germany).

It's funny because it's true.

That being said, if Julian Green had grown up here, he'd probably be playing point guard somewhere.

LAGlamrocker commenting on soccer is like HMZ talking about vaginal intercourse. Amusing but less than no credibility.

Germany's line-up changes were so necessary, Lahm finally in defense. Very disciplined game, not bad, although not as pretty as in the past. Didn't think they had it in them.

Wait........
Also, what hype was there? I don't think anybody saw them going further than round of 16. Quarters at best. The USA are a solid second/third tier team (in a sport with about ten tiers), with a population base that gives them future potential, but not even their coach had them down for much more than what they did.

Why the hate? What is supposed to say? We are trying our best...blah blah. Scolari is a specialist in motivation, manipulating the press, throwing out conspiracy theories etc. to get to his objective. By saying this he is driving the Brazilian fans crazy! He is a very intelligent man...he is playing his cards, bluffing pulling out all the stops...

One more point Thiago Silva jumps in front of the goalie once the ball was released from his hands and gets a yellow card and now is out of the semis. Fuckwad breaks Neymars back and it was play on...initially.
