I was at the game. About 50 % cowboys fans as usual.

Cowboys aren't any good. They won't win the division and if they squeak in as a wild-card they'll lose in the first round as usual.

Right as the game ended I saw Jerry Jones as they escorted him through our suite section to the exit.

Sour grapes!!!
Right now Dallas is tied for 1st. Not bad considering how awful they were playing the 1st 1/3 of the season.
Two games against the Giants coming up. That will settle the division crown.
Giants have a difficult schedule remaining, while Dallas has "lesser" opponents to play. NICE!!!

What did you think of Shanahan calling a TO to freeze the Dallas kicker, just when the play clock was about to strike O,

As a Bears fan, I need to the NFC east to continue beating the shit out of each other and have Green Bay pound Detroit both times they play them.

Vince Young sucks at football. He throws like a girl.

I think he closed his eyes on that long pass to Jackson that was way short and intercepted.
He's like the Liberace of bass & pot.

John,
When I learned the eagles defeated the giants last night, I was shocked.
Just goes to show that any team, on any day of the week can win.
There are no "sure things" anymore.

Anyway, so true about the NFC east. All these teams are just beating up one another. Will it take 9 wins to take the East crown or will it take 10???

Giants lose, perfect. This sets up their future beatdown in the Dome next week. Opening up that division for Dallas, who I gotta rep for my guitar player. He plays better when the Cowboys are winning.

Also, the same idiot who said that Peyton would start the first game of the season.

That would be crazy. What's the point of risking their investment and his career and health on what are essentially meaningless games? If he can only play in 'protected' situations, surely they're far better off resting him until next year when he can hit the ground at 100%? It's not like he couldn't get hit/hurt in the red zone, particularly as overzealous defenders will be gunning for him.

Bringing back a $100million man of his age and obvious value to the franchise for meaningless games when not fully healthy makes no sense to me at all.
I think you're confused. Peyton wouldn't come back if he were 90% or 95% recovered. He'd have to be 100% and fully cleared by the medical staff. Thus, he wouldn't be at risk for re-injury. If those conditions aren't met, he won't see the field.

if Manning came back last 2 weeks of the season, won both games= no Luck in the draft. He would be hated in Indy

let Manning come back in 2012, a 10 win team easy

Manning doesnt want to comeback and compete with Tebomania

As long as there are refs on the field with hands gripping their flags tightly, Manning will always be in a protected scenario.

Peyton Manning will never be hated in Indy. Secondly, we'd need more than two wins to avoid the first pick.

I suspect Tebow will no longer be a starting QB next year. Even Elway came out today and bashed him.

I really hope Manning comes back by week 16. Houston can kill two birds by knocking him
out for good and shutting pinhead13 up. Pinhead, MannIng and the Dolts would be out of their minds stupid to expose him to a Texans pass rush for nothing, but then again, we're talking about tweedle dee and tweedle dumber in Indy. I really hope they're that dumb.

It's awesome if you're any other team in that division. That guy might prove to be the worst thing to ever happened to that franchise. His remarkable luck this year will force them to play him again next year, and possibly even revamp their roster to cater to that dinosaur style. That team is so fucked.

The only reason to try to play Manning this season is to get an excuse to cut him and save all that cap room to rebuild. If they push him and he's not ready they can say he'll never heal sufficiently and then send him packing without the PR nightmare they would face otherwise. If he gets re-injured it's even easy to cut him. I wouldn't put anything past Polian, he's a slimebag.

True... Thinking about it after I posted, that was the only logical justification I could think of for playing him.

Okay then... If he's 100%, why would he then only play occasional plays in protected situations? And why does he need protecting if he's 100%? And how does only making Red Zone plays protect him? When one considers that the current QBs clearly can't get the job done, why would they not start Manning if he was 100%?

The only thing I can think of is that in the Red Zone maybe teams aren't sending the blitz as much as they are more concerned about covering receivers more, or watching the inside run.

"Protected situation" can only mean protecting him from injury or; protecting the team from a not-played-all-season QB's rusty mistakes. Which makes little difference seeing as they've lost every game so far.

Nickelback will perform during halftime in Detroit

Enrique Iglesias will perform during halftime in Dallas

Is this what the world is coming to? 2 of the most boring, bland, repetitive acts in the music biz will get the opportunity, while much more deserving bands are waiting for the phone to ring.

People actually watch the halftime show? Fuck turn the channel. I did the same thing when the Black Eyed Peas did the Superbowl.
Fresh beer and bathroom time.

Same goes for if you go to the game. Nobody's forcing anyone to watch the damn thing.

Orton's agent telling other teams to not bother picking him up off waivers unless your name is Bears. He'll sit the rest of the year out rather than play anywhere else.
