Nobody in Houston was that sad to see him go. Williams was always a guy with more potential than real results. You don't give a guy like that 100 million dollars.Crazy Levi wrote:People are already talking bust in Buffalo when it comes to Mario Williams.
Haven been brutalized by Albert Hayensworth and Dana Stubblefield in DC I saw this shit coming from a mile away. You can't invest that kind of cash in a D-lineman, it makes no fucking sense in the salary cap era.

Romo.
Don't even get me started on the play where Dez did not make
the sight adjustment. He ran a 9 route and Tony asked him to run a curl.
IDIOT!!!
Dez thinks he belongs in the Dallas Ring of Honor, next to all the greats, but the kid does not want to work hard enough to belong there.

Yeah, but a lot of that was a result of pressure put on him by the bad play of others.NeverSurrender wrote:demolition23 wrote:NeverSurrender wrote:
Man, as bad as he was, those first two intercepts were totally on the receivers, and the third arguably partly on his O-line. That's a harsh way to have to play QB.
Ehhh, I usually stick up for Romo, and he gets a bad rap, but he looked like shit last night.
Should he have handled it better? Absolutely. But I still put a lot of it on other people.

Peanut Tillman said the pick six was the hardest interception of his career because Romo threw the ball right to him.

Pro Football Talk.Com power rankings week four.
8. Bears: In Jay Cutler’s defense, there’s a good chance Mike Tice ripped one before sitting on the bench.

The JETS season just went from bad to worse
For the second time in nine days, the New York Jets announced a season-ending injury to one of their best players. This time, it's wide receiver Santonio Holmes.
As expected, Holmes was diagnosed with a Lisfranc foot injury, ending his season after only four games, the Jets confirmed Wednesday. Holmes, the team's leading receiver with 20 catches and 272 yards, will have surgery.

I know I'd love to see it. Would be the archetypical Rex Ryan move.

Guys like Gruden, Cowher, Dungy, Billick...all Super Bowl winning coaches who could get back into the game if they wanted to. But why deal with the bullshit? They are pulling down a good living watching football and talking shit about everyone else, instead of being the target.
Why come back just to face insurmountable expectations with a high possibility of failure? Millions of bucks? Yeah...but still.
Re: NFL 2012 Thread
Because unlike you, any successful NFL coach is not afraid of having high expectations and failing. That's not the mindset of any successful person. When Tony Dungy became head coach of the Bucs, most people said he'd never turn the team around. The Bucs had never been any good and were one of the worst teams in the league. But he did it, and within a short amount of time the Bucs became perennial contenders. A few years later when he came to the Colts, expectations were Super Bowl or bust. Sure, he had the best QB in the game, but he also had one of the worst defenses in the game. Well he turned that one around too and won a world championship. Why? Because he wasn't afraid to fail, and wasn't afraid of high expectations.Crazy Levi wrote:

The real reason coach Dungy won't return is the same reason he walked away from the game: he has other things he wants to focus his life on.

The Bucs were good once before Dungy. Wrong again.

Re: NFL 2012 Thread
OK you win, they made the playoffs 15 years before Dungy came in. What does that have to do with Coach Dungy and the job he did? Or are you just trolling again? Jacksonville taking the tarps off the upper deck for the Bears fans invading their ball park for the day. The crowd at Dallas had to be a quarter in support in Chicago and some are predicting Sunday may be 50/50 in Jacksonville. I think I'm going to burn some miles and take my son to Florida for the day.

The biggest Packer bar is Northwoods Inn right up the street. If you want to find a seat for a noon Packer game you better be there right when they open at eleven or go somewhere else. I don't think I've ever not seen it packed to the gills for a faggoty Pack game. There's just so many people from other places here in the city that it makes sense to aligne yourself with a city and especially a college.NeverSurrender wrote:Do you ever go to the Packer bars?
