Well, thats 1 of the "chaos games" out of the way...#2 Alabama defeats #18 Florida 29 - 15 in the SEC Championship.

Heisman favorite Derrick Henry put on a very good showing, maybe not stellar, but still managed to break the SEC Single Season Rushing record held by Herschel Walker with 1985 yards this season, and finished the game with 189 yards. Henry also extended his rushing TD streak to 18 consecutive games, and tied the SEC Single Season Rushing TD record with 23 TD`s (Tied with Tre Mason & Tim Tebow). On the down side,he had a fumble.

Major stats:
Florida............Alabama
7 FIRST DOWNS 25
180 TOTAL YARDS 437
165 PASSING YARDS 204
15 RUSHING YARDS 233
5-51 PENALTIES 5-35
128 TOTAL RETURN YARDS 90
45 TOTAL PLAYS 84
4.0 YARDS PER PLAY 5.2
28.0 PUNT RETURN AVG YARDS 5.0
22.0 KICK RETURN AVG YARDS 23.0

** Oh yeah, almost forgot...**

Dalvin Cook against that same defense... Only 6 less yards, on 18 less carries, 1 more TD, and one less fumble.

Stanford for the Pac-12 title win! That Kevin Hogan's a beast, ain't he? Same with Deshaun Watson in Clemson's ACC title win...

ACC Championship

Clemson did in fact win, and by a grand total of 8 points...45 - 37

SEC Championship
#2 Alabama vs Florida - #2 Alabama takes this with 17 over Florida..Henry goes for 150+ and 2 TD`s.
Right again, Alabama won, but only by 14, 29 - 15...I missed it by 3 lousy points (Thanks Adam Griffith..lol), and Henry only had 1 TD, but topped out with 189 yards..I will take it.

Big XII Championship - There fucking isnt one...retarded as it is, Oklahoma actually earned this one, unlike what TCU/Baylor went through last year.

Big 10 Championship
#4 Iowa vs #5 Michigan State - #5 Michigan State will be the spoiler of the Hawkeyes and end their unblemished (post)season, but it will be by 7 or less. With this loss, Iowa will drop to #5, the Spartans will move up to #4 in the final CFP Poll.
Thought I was gonna miss this one, but I didnt, Michigan State did it by 3 whole points, 16 - 13 and sent Iowa home and most likely out of the play-off.

Final CFP Poll:
#1 Clemson
#2 Oklahoma
#3 Alabama
#4 Michigan State

Semi-finals:
#1 Clemson vs #3 Alabama
#2 Oklahoma vs #4 Michigan State
** I see the semi-final match-ups being split this way for several reasons...(1) location between the teams playing. Alabama and Clemson are closer in proximity at 325 miles, where Alabama vs Oklahoma at 700 miles or Michigan at 786 miles. Oklahoma to Michigan is 1002 miles, Oklahoma to Clemson is 976 miles and Alabama again at 700 miles. Michigan to Clemson is 755 miles. (2) Playing conditions...Oklahoma and Michigan are accustomed to colder games where Alabama and Clemson are more used to temperate conditions. Providing a final game on basically "neutral ground".
Or, the CFP will just go #1 vs #4 and #2 vs #3 like last year...its up to them in the end.**

Personally, as an Alabama fan, I want Clemson in the Semi...statistically speaking, Oklahoma is 3-1-1 vs Alabama...those 3 wins all came from 2000 and up, including back to back wins in 2002-3 and 2014. Combine history with Baker Mayfield, Joe Mixon and Samaje Perine and this Sooner team scares the shit out of me...and thats with me believing ALabama`s Front 7 are the best front 7 in the nation...Mayfield is just a dominant QB who can lead his team awesomely well. Clemson is a better game for the Tide...the front 7 are beastly when they are firing on all cylinders and Clemson hasnt had tovrun or pass against a D like what Bama brings to the game...they will muscle offenses until they just cant breathe and perform...looking at LSU, MSU, TAMU and Auburn...

CFP Championship:
#3 Alabama vs #4 Michigan State - This is what I would like to see. Alabama and Michigan stack up pretty well Offensively and Defensively. This would be a great "football game" as opposed to a possible shut-out if it winds up being Oklahoma vs Clemson or Alabama...hell, I`m not sure Oklahoma wont shut-out any of the other 3 at this point.
I did some edits up top because I really hit my marks on the game winners and the eventual scores.

I`m gonna change this the above CFP Final Ranking...#2 Alabama will retain its ranking due to Oklahoma not moving up Tuesday.

#1 Clemson
#2 Alabama
#3 Oklahoma
#4 Michigan State

This should put the semi finals as such:
#1 Clemson vs #3 Oklahoma
#2 Alabama vs #4 Michigan State

CFP Final:
#2 Alabama vs #3 Oklahoma

Yeah..and he`s sitting at home watching others play...

Deshaun Watson has the best shot of beating Henry...no other back has a chance after tonight.

Dalvin Cook also won the Jim Brown award for being the best running back in the country. Not bad for missing a full game and also only playing two snaps of another on a team in a rebuilding year.

Hey BodyBagz from what I've heard # 1 plays # 4 and the other semi final is # 2 vs # 3. Also you might want to let all your other Alabama fans in on something = ain't no way in hell Alabama gets past OU.

So could you and the rest of the male Alabama faithful put a leash on your drunken redneck women and keep'em from trying to dropkick OU fans in the stands.

I know you guys have some kind of hillbilly logic where you think the championship is all yours every year but it ain't happening... again!!!

I think the title will go to Oklahoma. They're the best of the four teams and I really don't think it's that close.

To be fair, Alabama won 3 BCS titles in 4 years, 2 of which were back to back...which hadnt been done previously or since, and made it into the inaugural CFP Playoff, and now 2nd CFP Playoff...the fans, coaches, players, alumni and 1/3 of the nation tends to think the Crimson Tide will win out... :P

Oklahoma has to get passed Clemson before they need to be concerned with Alabama,,,and that may not be as easy a feat as Sooner fans would like to think. DeShaun Watson is a play maker passing and rushing the ball, he is as good or better than Mayfield at passing, and better than Mayfield at rushing. It should be a tight game if Clemson`s defense can stand up and push back.

I firmly believe Alabama will take Mich State..it will be a full 4 quarters of football though, and it wont be a blow out. I personally would rather have Clemson in the final, if only because I know they couldnt sustain a full 60 minutes of Alabama sending Derrick Henry through their weak front. Oklahoma to me has a better run defense than Clemson, and seeing as Henry is our best weapon, they could actually double up on him and force Coker into passing into coverage, something he does enough of already.

No matter who makes it to the final, if Alabama is there, I will root for them. If Alabama doesnt make it, I will still be a die-hard fan and will be there and here to root for them again. Their "dynasty" is far from over based on what I have seen in the last few years, and if recruiting stays trending the way it has for the last 6 or so, I do believe the Crimson Tide will be a force for the foreseeable future.

As far as the "redneck" fans, I neither claim them, any affiliation with them, nor do I condone them...deal with em like I do...dont go where they are...

If you think Clemson would have trouble with Henry, what do you think they're going to do about the two headed monster of Mixon and Perrine?

Oh, they will have trouble, but I think they can go 1 on 1 and negate a fair bit from the duo. Oklahoma I doubt will try to rush against Clemson nearly as much as they will pass...this game is geared mainly to see which QB can make the best of it.

What makes Henry such a threat, is he isnt a long runner..he is short yardage, in your face, bruising through until he gets the mark needed...that wears out defenders, as well as getting inside their heads. If by chance Henry gets into the open field, he then turns on what speed he has and ramps up the bruiser portion.

What I would love to see is Henry, Drake and Scarborough all 3 lined up in the backfield! Scarborough needs to be getting acclimated to big school crowd noise and big ass O lines before he moves into the #2 back slot(I expect Henry to declare for the Draft if he wins the Heisman). With drake being injured, they could have Bo in there and let Henry do some blocking...between the 2 of them at 240+ each, they could damn near be unstoppable.

Clemson vs OU

Bama vs Michigan St.

Predictions anybody?

Funny thing is the head coaches for these teams are not even thinking about
the bowl game. They are busy recruiting. I think this week is the last opportunity the coaches can make visits to the kids.

OU and Bama win and then OU beats Bama for the title.

The kid from Stanford has to win the Heisman by a landslide. Is there really a debate about who the Heisman winner should be?

If his kid played for Bama, they would have handed him the award already. But since he plays out here on the west coast, the numbers he has put up seem to be not enough to win the award.

Who cares if the kid is a true sophmore. Who cares that he does not play in the SEC or the south.

I remember several years ago RGduh defeated Luck-a mistake
Then Ingram from Bama defeated Toby Gerhart-a mistake

You do realize, that if McCaffery played for Alabama, he would likely not be getting as much press as he is at Stanford? You make it sound as if Alabama has 7 or 8 Heisman winners in the past. They have had 1 winner, Mark Ingram(who won by the closet margin in the history of the Heisman Award, 5 first place votes ahead of Stanfords Toby Gerhart) , and since 1937, they have had a total of 14 players invited to be finalist. Thats not a very good winning percentage...damn sure not enough for you to be thinking that the Heisman is "Alabama biased" like everyone seems to think the CFP, ESPN, and all other major pollsters...

I really want Henry to win it because I know for a fact that Alabama would not be in the playoff if it werent for him...period. He has lead that team by example, dedicated everything he has to winning, and taken enough punishment in the process...yet he still drives on. But, I would not bat an eye if McCaffery does in fact take the Heisman...he is the ONLY all-around impressive player in the entire field, including all that were left out of the finals; Baker Mayfield, Dalvin Cook, Leonard Fournette, Ezekial Elliot and Keenan Reynolds.

Better all-around? I don't know about that - I would say that Elliott is a better blocker and receiver out of the backfield.

Until Zeke passes for a touchdown, receives a pass for a touchdown, returns punts and kick-offs, he isnt in the same spectrum as far as All Around is concerned. Hell, Ezekial isnt the best at his primary job, let alone doing anything else outside of running the ball...

No kidding. Listen, this kid from Stanford should be the winner by a landslide. The voters love the players from the south. They take care of their own. They are very biased.
If the kid from Stanford played in the SEC, the award would have been his last month. Its that simple.
Not sure why this is even a debate. Head and shoulders above the rest. He can run, he can catch, he passes and returns kicks.
Obviously he will win the Maxwell award for most outstanding player and the Walker award for best running back. Might as well give him the Heisman. He earned it

You`re not very good at this...just saying...

Derrick Henry wins Maxwell & Doak Walker Awards
"ATLANTA (AP) -- Alabama running back Derrick Henry was the biggest star of college football's awards night, as he won the Maxwell Award, given to the college player of the year, and the Doak Walker Award given to the nation's top running back. Also Thursday, Henry was chosen as the Walter Camp National Player of the Year."

With Henry winning these 3 awards, I expect Christian McCaffery to win the Heisman...

That makes absolutely ZERO sense (unless you're being sarcastic).

There's not a chance of that happening. He'll be fortunate to come in 2nd vs. 3rd.

Quite the scam. Still unreal that the Bama RB won the Heisman over a much more deserving player at Stanford.
Goes to show the good old boys network once again has taken care of their own. Nonsense. The numbers the kid from Stanford put up were off the charts. Henry was good, but the kid is better. Too bad the voters fail again to recognize college football is played on the West Coast

You are reduntant

The RB from Stanford had over 400+ all purpose yards in the Pac 12 Championship game. If a SEC player did anything similar, some of you would have creamed your Crimson Tide panties.

I'm no Henry fan but he put up his numbers against far better competition. The Pac 12 was way down this year.

It wasn't a scam. It wasn't the good old boy network. You're just a dipshit.

So everybody who disagrees with you is a dipshit. How insecure are you?

According to your gorilla logic, any Stanford player is not taken seriously because the competition is substandard huh?
How many times did Stanford play Louisiana Monroe, Charleston Southern and Middle Tennessee?
That is some stiff competition there amigo. Smarten up!
