I went back and watched the Greenbay vs Texans game and while I still think my Texans played like shit, nobody would have beat Rodgers that night. 2 of those touchdowns were covered as well as they could be covered , and Rodgers threaded the needle. Anyway, point is, if that QB and that team can show up the rest of the year, everybody else in that division may As well stay home.sin wrote:Christian Ponder is dating Samantha Steele from ESPN. Pretty good for a QB with not much hype on a team that no one pays attention too. If the Lions don't win the division this year, then I hope the Vikes do.

Serious, non-trolling question here:johnk5150 wrote:Luck is on pace to shatter the pass attempts record. Not the rookie attempts record. The attempts record.
Is that the right way to bring along a rookie QB?
I see his numbers every week...it's like 33-55 for 300 yards. I mean, that's great and all, but that's a ton of physical stress on a young arm, not to mention that you are opening your QB 55 times a game to getting sacked, or having his arm hit a helmet etc. Plus, what kind of rhythm do you get in MISSING that much in a game? And what does it do to a young QB's confidence when he gets used to missing on half his throws? Don't you want your QB to think every time he throws he's gonna complete it?
Like I said before, I couldn't be happier with the way the Skins' coaching staff is bringing RG3 along. He's throwing THIRTY times a game, not pushing 60, and he's completing 70 percent of his passes. Seems like the smarter way to do it to me, plus, they are establishing a great rushing game.
This team has had a wretched offense for YEARS. Except for about 2 games during the 2005 season, the last time the offense has been any good was in 1999.
And overnight, they've become one of the best offenses in football. It's more than just RG3 - the coaching staff has played this beautifully. Meanwhile, the Colts' staff is just throwing Luck out there like David Klingler and having him throw 50-60 times a game.
I think the lad could use some more balance in his life, especially this early on.

Ask Marino?
In today's game it's better than ever for a QB so unless they're mentally broken and can't handle a few low's....And at today's prices....Go for it.

When Rodgers is "on", he is unreal. He's fun to watch.
Re: NFL 2012 Thread
Great win today, it wasn't always pretty, but a W is a W. Luck made the plays he needed to make and the defense got some much needed stops in the second half. Good to get to .500 and now we go back on the road to TN next week.

That loss for the skins yesterday is all on the defense. You don't let a receiver go over the top like that against a Manning.
Stafford has 4 TD passes. Bears d has 5 scores.

Sanchez normally looks good against the Patriots secondary. Seriously. WTF!? How does Devin McCourty suck so much ass after looking so good as a rookie? Not counting the kickoff return for TD.johnk5150 wrote:Sanchez really looked pretty decent yesterday didn't he? Re: NFL 2012 Thread
I've been saying all along the secondary is terrible. It was also a terrible call not to have anyone up top. I know everybody hates "prevent" defenses up someone way up there would have at least stopped that Cruz play from being a touchdown, and shortened the field to hopefully hold them to a FG and force overtime. The team at least has a second rounder next year, I'd think you can grab a decent safety at that spot.johnk5150 wrote: That loss for the skins yesterday is all on the defense. Would probably be a bad idea to have RG3 play some safety at this point. You gotta think long term.
