Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
I am really sick of the same wrestlers get belts all the time- Hardy had the belt for what 10 seconds??? At least Dreamer won the title.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
It's not like Punk is going on his 5th or 6th reign... it's only his 2nd run as world champ. And if Hardy hasn't decided whether or not he's staying, it's kind of hard to give him a title run.Rev.Sweetchops wrote:I am really sick of the same wrestlers get belts all the time- Hardy had the belt for what 10 seconds??? Should be a pretty interesting week. Batista is supposedly scheduled to have surgery on Tuesday and will be out long term, so I would guess something will have to go down with him and the belt tomorrow night.
Also means they are going to need a face to replace Batista on RAW. With the strap off of Christian, he could possibly be moved over. They could try and push MVP or Kofi, although I don't think Kofi is ready. Could bring back Michaels or The H... or Snitsky...
As for Punk. Very interested to see where they go with this. The ball is rolling to turn him heel after stealing the title from the biggest face in the company right now. They could try and keep him face and use the two best heels they have (Edge and Jericho) to get his face heat back. Or they could even turn Edge face... Of course I'm not sure how much sense it would make to turn the best heel in the industry face, but it he could switch right back because that's just the type of character he is.
Still... with Punk as champ, it really would give the title chase a VERY fresh look. Punk/Hardy, Punk/Jericho, Punk/Edge, Punk/Rey, Punk/Kane, Punk/Taker... Would never happen, but they could conceivably go over a year and keep the main event scene fresh on SmackDown right now which is hard to fathom as it has been so stale for so long.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
In an update from PWInsider.com's initial report that Batista is set for surgery on a torn bicep on Tuesday morning, PWTorch.com is reporting that the title change is setting up a Batista title loss tomorrow night on RAW. Apparently, Batista has been wrestling lately with a torn bicep and that is why tonight's match was shorter than typical for a match of that caliber.
According to F4WOnline.com, the decision to have CM Punk cash in Money in the Bank was the one that was made late Saturday night.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
Bill Behrens reports that neither ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer or Jeff Hardy have signed full multi-year contract renewals with WWE but both did sign short extensions a while ago when each of their contracts were near the end dates.
According to Behrens, Dreamer signed his extension several months ago. It’s unknown if either of them will end up signing full multi-year renewals.
There are some people within TNA management that are pushing for Tommy Dreamer to come in. Dreamer has several friends in TNA and one top TNA star told Behrens that he thinks Dreamer should be brought in to freshen up the creative team. However, there are also a few people in TNA with “stroke” who are resistant to Dreamer coming in at all.

I think it's about time for Legacy to have internal issues and break up. I read before that the plan is to turn DiBiase face... and now is not a bad time for that to happen.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
Now that you mention Punk as going heel- I totally understand. I read somewhere that Orton will be defending the title against Triple H at some house show in the next couple of months, so yeah tonight the title will probably change hands again or in the next couple of weeks.Sabu wrote:It's not like Punk is going on his 5th or 6th reign... it's only his 2nd run as world champ. Wow, that release makes less sense than Kennedy's. Well at least Joe will have another member of his Nation of Violence in 90 days.

That's right. I forgot about that. No big loss, I mean 90% of their show revolves around Angle, Sting, Jarrett and Foley anyways.Angry Jew wrote:Joe might be out up to 6 months. No it doesn't. Trips was out for months from an Orton kick and we are supposed to believe that old ass Ric Flair is only out two weeks? I would rather see Dusty Rhodes in this role. Flair was already co-owner a few years ago and then he inevitably gets drunk with power and turns heel.Monty610 wrote:That makes sense. I'm sure he'll have some retribution planned for Orton.
