Dallas with a a W on the road.
Was not pretty, but a win is a win.
Looking forward to the upcoming game on Sunday vs Giants.
Beating the Giants would put Dallas only 1/2 game in the standings.

I would hate to be a Raven fan these days. Their once rightfully vaunted defense is old and their future is Joe Flacco.johnk5150 wrote:I'd like to rescind my Ravens in the SB prediction.

And Percy needs to kick someone in the kick return team's ass for blocking in the back. That return was badass. I think he's more valuable than even AP right now.NeverSurrender wrote:Christian Ponder better give Adrian Peterson his paycheck this week.

In other news, Joe Gibbs has gone senile. He accepted an invitation from Jerry Jones to give the Cowboys a fucking pep talk before they barely beat the Panthers. Jesus.

I know i think the block in the back wasn't even needed. But the kid who blocked him has been a very good player this season, even starting a few games at OLB. No hate for him.johnk5150 wrote:And Percy needs to kick someone in the kick return team's ass for blocking in the back. That return was badass. Dallas defeated the Giants in week 1. So they have that going for them.
Barely beating Carolina is still a victory.
Does not matter is the W was by 30 points or 5 points.

The Giants are - right now - the best team in NFC.

Atlants is 6-0, so that team might be considered the
best in the NFL.
Could be the Giants are playing the best right now, but maybe Dallas has there number.
Might be a good match-up position by position for Dallas. I don't know!
The way Dallas has played this year, they might lay a big egg
and get blown out by 27 on Sunday.

They're the champs until someone beats them. Bottom line is Manning becomes Manning when they need him to be Manning.

Giants are better than the Falcons. You'll see when they play. Unless they played already and I wasn't paying attention. I don't think the Falcons are that good. Plenty of 6-0 teams have gone on not to do shit.Machado wrote:Crazy Levi wrote:Yes, I know that.Machado wrote: Dallas defeated the Giants in week 1. So they have that going for them.

Re: NFL 2012 Thread
It came as no surprise, Luck's been doing it all year. Even though he'll always be a pocket passer first, he can run for a first down or a touchdown when needed. It's nice to be able to have that added dimension to your game. I believe one of the TDs was a designed run and it worked great. I was happy with our ability run the ball as a team yesterday. Our offensive line finally has some continuity, and they were able to open some nice running lanes all game.bane wrote:Kudos to the Colts for getting the job done. How about those two running TDs by Luck?poizond13 wrote:Great win today, it wasn't always pretty, but a W is a W. Luck made the plays he needed to make and the defense got some much needed stops in the second half. Good to get to .500 and now we go back on the road to TN next week.

vs the Giants.
Not an easy schedule at all.

Re: NFL 2012 Thread
Giants are the better team until proven otherwise. I see them going to the Super Bowl this year again and winning it. They have Eli Manning, probably the best receiving core in the game , and a great defense.Crazy Levi wrote:

Guess it depends which ranking you choose to read/believe
in order to determine who has a great D and who does not.

The Bucs' new coach is a complete clown.
If his infamous "victory formation blitz" play isn't enough, his team was penalized yesterday for shouting in unison during a Saints FG attempt, leading to a touchdown for the Saints.
The guy is a buffoon whose laughable bush-league college football tricks are embarrassing the NFL. I don't think he's gonna make in the NFL.

One of the against-the-grain coaching tactics of Greg Schiano's staff came back to bite the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday during a critical sequence which contributed to a Bucs' loss.
The home team was down 28-21 when a New Orleans drive, which began at their own 5-yard line, stalled on 3rd and 9 at Tampa Bay's 33. New Orleans was about to attempt a 50-yard field goal when the Bucs' defensive line abruptly shifted and, according to Saints players, shouted in unison.
The shift earned Tampa Bay a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for trying to draw the offense offsides, a rarely-enforced infraction which set up a Pierre Thomas touchdown run four plays later. New Orleans eventually won 35-28, and Saints players later said they'd never seen teams try to draw them offsides to the extent that the Bucs did.
"I haven't seen it in the pros, because it's against the rules," said defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis. "You're allowed to do your shifts but you're not allowed to yell to try to get the offense to go offsides."
Saints guard Jahri Evans said game officials were notified of the practice before the play.
"I think that's just what they're being taught," he said. "And that's what we told the refs -- they can't try to draw us offsides in that situation or in any part of the game. I haven't seen that in a long time. I played Division II, and they didn't even do that in DII. It was definitely done to draw us offsides and we all knew it."
Schiano wouldn't address the play in post-game comments beyond saying, "I believe I know that rule, and I'll leave it at that."
Schiano has been criticized this season for instructing players to rush aggressively when opponents are kneeling on offense to run out the clock on a victory.

The Lions dominated and deserved to win.

The Lions are back where they belong after half a good season.

Re: NFL 2012 Thread
I never claimed a Lions victory over Chicago, but its a bit early for a Vikings fan to be gloating after winning a close one over the Lions. Will the Vikings make the play offs, probably will the Lions NO. But theres still one more game to be played.NeverSurrender wrote:johnk5150 wrote:Bears plus 13 on takeaways.

You guys have a core though. That d line is fucking impressive. Not sure what losing Burleson does in the long run, but megatron can't keep dropping passes like he did last night. You're the MVP of that offense. Play like it.sin wrote: I never claimed a Lions victory over Chicago, but its a bit early for a Vikings fan to be gloating after winning a close one over the Lions. "A Suh. What u did to Jay wasn't cool. Great players don't have to do that," Marshall tweeted after the Bears' 13-7 win over the Detroit Lions at Soldier Field. "A Suh. Something I've learned and now passing down to you. Succeed with character."
Suh definitely used a leg whip on Cutler.
I thought the play was dirty.
Anybody else???
