So long Armando Alejandro Estrada. Dude used to get a major pop just for saying his name. He was a good heel manager.

I still don't get why the WWE doesn't use managers anymore. Back in the day a guy could draw huge heat simply by being affiliated with a Bobby Heenan, a Jimmy Hart, a Paul E. Dangerously, a Jim Cornette, etc.

Estrada could have been an awesome heel manager and would have been the perfect mouthpiece for most of the heels that have no business being near a mic. Of course, that would make way too much sense so......

For his babyface promos of course! Seriously though... his matches, IMO, are VERY entertaining. Love him or hate him, the guys gets the crowd to react to him either way. I'd sometimes rather watch a decent match with an insanely hot crowd than a great match with a dead crowd. And no matter how a show has gone, Cena's gets everyone in the building going one way or another.

Case in point, or is it case AND point? Cena vs. RVD. That wasn't exactly a mat classic, and I've seen a shitload better "matches" since then, but that thing is still fun as hell to watch.

I also think Cena is VERY underrated as a worker. Don't get me wrong, I don't think he's Kurt Angle, Bret Hart, Chris Benoit, Ricky Steamboat, or Snitsky in their primes... but I do think he puts on a very entertaining match. I could do without his promos though... no doubt about that. Unless he goes back to his Doctor of Thuganomics character...

That reminds me, I've always meant to ask, how do you think the crowd would have reacted if HHH was there instead of Cena?

The reason I bring it up is because I remember hearing that the WWE was on the fence as to whether or not it should be him or Cena that faced RVD. We all know how it ended up, but I was just curious as to how everyone else thinks the ECW crowd would have handled it?

I think The H is probably too big a mark for himself to have handled it the way Cena handled it. Seriously... I don't think anyone could have gone in there and did the job Cena did. That was as honest a reaction as you will ever get from a crowd in this business, and Cena played it perfectly. I don't think the guy is an idiot. He was a fan of the business in a different era than The H was and I think he has a lot better understanding of why the "smarks" react the way they do then The H does. Again, they're from two different eras. The H was main eventing RAW while Cena was home watching it with his friends and scouring the internet for "newz". I think that's one of the reasons Cena is so good at handling the crowd reactions. He gets exactly why they hate him.

I don't think The H would have worked well in that situation. He would have probably stayed heel to work that match (he turned face a month or two before), and it just wouldn't have had the same feel with the ECW crowd booing the WWE's top heel. Cena was just the perfect guy for that match because it just sold the ECW crowd, who was always looked at as "anti-sports entertainment", for what they were and what they wanted. And it made RVD and the relaunched brand look much, much better. That RVD pissed it away and WWE dropped the ball is a whole different subject...

Does any of that make any sense?

I'm glad Cena is back too, I find him entertaining, but I really cannot believe he's been stuck in a world title match already.

Makes perfect sense. But you have to admit it would have been A LOT of fun to hear the ECW crowd tear him apart during that match.

One thing I cannot figure out is why Cody Rhodes is getting any sort of push. He isn't very big, his in ring skills are average at best and he is terrible on the mic.

The exchanges he has had with Orton are comical simply because he is dreadful cutting a promo. I just don't get it.

I have a feeling that they planned to go in a completely different direction with Cody than where they're at now. The whole 2nd generation stable they seemed to be planning took a big step back when a couple of the guys failed wellness.

Also, when Orton got hurt, they desperately needed some heels higher up on the card, so Cody, Ted Jr, and Lance Cade got the shot... Involving him with Orton served two purposes, 1. It gave him and Dibiase a rub. 2. They were the only two that it made any sense for Orton to work with while he was out.

I think Ted Jr. is going to be a star... Cody, I'm not so sure...

What's up with Vince hiring lisping workers, first Cody, now Jack Swagger. The lisps are getting so bad it's hard to understand them, not to mention comical as hell.

So Edge is back! But Cena is once again the champ! But then again, HHH isn't! So I'm torn as to whether or not it was a good show or a bad show!

I marked out big time whenever Edge came back and won the title. What an awesome way to finish that match. I was pretty pissed about the whole Jeff unconscious work and pulling him from the match, but because Hardy attacked Edge, its obvious Edge was the one who attacked him. This sets up Edge Vs Jeff Hardy nicely for Royal Rumble for the WWE Championship I think.

I think they might actually let Jeff beat Edge for the title. That's probably why they give the title to him... so he could beat Edge and Triple H wouldn't have to put him over.

Ding Ding Ding.

HHH can have all of the title reigns he wants but he will never be regarded like Ric Flair. He will always be viewed in the same light as Hogan since neither have ever had any interest in putting anyone over!

HHH has put Hardy over a couple of times before, once for the Intercontinental Title, but I guess the WWE Title is whole different thing.

Don't doubt it a bit. Haven't paid for a PPV since One Night Stand in '06.

I miss the old days of the Survivor Series PPVs when EVERY match was a SS match. The interviews backstage with the whole team together and everything... the whole show was great.

I don't quite understand why they got away from that format. If anything, the traditional Survivor Series matches gave them an entire PPV where they didn't have to give up a 1 on 1 match. Part of the problem today, especially with the brand splits, is having everyone face each other at least once in a 1 on 1 match over the span of 2 or 3 months. The less times you have a 1 on 1 between two workers, the more valuable it becomes when you're trying to sell it on a PPV. The old Survivor Series format gives you a free pass to sell a show that is only going to advance storylines and create new feuds heading into the Rumble. Just doesn't make sense to pass that up.

Just what the world needs... another McMahon vs. McMahon feud.

Did anyone else notice during Sabu's Dream Match (Punk vs. Snitsky), that King, Regal and Cole almost burst out laughing at King's jokes about Snitsky's teeth?
