Total Nonstop Action Wrestling has decided to let Don West go as an announcer. This week's television tapings will be his last broadcasts for the company. Mike Tenay and Taz will be the announcing team going forward.

Since 2002, West has worked for TNA, providing color commentary alongside Tenay during episodes of Impact and pay-per-views

Kick ass...Taz was a good announcer. Can Taz actually carry Tenay and make it a decent announce team? Probably not..nothing can help Tenay more than likely, but this is a great move.

Am I the only one who liked heel Don West? I know they need Tenay for Play by Play but he is so terrible. Taz should be cool.

It will be interesting to see how Taz does. They definitely needed someone laid back on their announce team as opposed to the two idiots screaming at the top of their lungs at everything from table bumps to armdrags.

If he liked picking on Cole & Styles on the air, he should have a fucking field day with Tenay.

I liked when Taz didn't give a fuck and was calling Brother Ray by the correct name Bubba during the match last night.

TNA....I don't care to see AJ Style attempt acting. That was terrible "crying" job he did last night. Way way too fake. I think he is a good wrestler, but the acting leaves alot to be desired.

Dixie Carter making her TNA debut next week. Interesting. She going to be the new "face of TNA management"?

Doesn't bode well for Jarrett.

But she is definitely hot enough to be on camera. Yummy!

AmDrag in WWE? Cool, maybe HBK finally pulled weight to get him in. There was nothing more AmDrag could do in ROH.

THE FIRST RING OF HONOR STAR (AND ITS A BIG NAME) TO BE OFFERED A WWE DEAL IS....
By Mike Johnson on 2009-08-23 20:48:30
PWInsider.com has confirmed that World Wrestling Entertainment has offered former ROH champion "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson a contract.

Danielson, considered one of the best pure wrestlers in the world from a technical standpoint, has been the nucleus of ROH as he's been main eventing for the company since their first show in February 2002. Originally trained by Shawn Michaels and Rudy Boy Gonzales at the Shawn Michaels Wrestling Academy, Danielson has been something of a journeyman, learning and wrestling all over the world in Japan, Great Britain, Mexico and other countries, as well as training in MMA to create his own unique mesh of styles.

Danielson was under a WWE developmental deal early in his career when the system was based out of Memphis, but was later released. He's long considered William Regal one of his mentors and has been considered the best in-ring performer not signed to a national company for several years running and has given ROH a number of legitimate classics over the years with everyone from Jushin Liger to KENTA to Paul London to Austin Aries to Samoa Joe, among others.

Danielson was signed to an ROH contract when the company debuted on PPV, but earlier this year opted not to sign a contract extension. He's continued to work for the company since then as an independent contractor.

As we noted last week exclusively in the PWInsider.com Elite section, the ROH on HDNet move to Mondays brought ROH to the forefront of WWE's attention. Numerous sources within WWE confirmed last week that the company was looking into the contractual status of a number of ROH talents as there were several names that were now on the WWE radar. Danielson is the first name we've confirmed to have actually been offered a deal.

******************************************

From the ROH Forums.
Bryan Danielson has agreed in principle to a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment.

Bryan has been an exemplary talent and a wonderful member of the Ring of Honor locker room and family since the inception of the company. We couldn’t be happier for Bryan and all of his successes, many of which Ring of Honor has been proud to witness first hand.

We congratulate Bryan on the beginning of this next journey in his brilliant career, and wish him all the best as he progresses. Many Ring of Honor fans refer to Bryan as the “best in the world” and we look forward to looking on in earnest as he shows everyone watching the wrestling world’s biggest stage just why that is.

Bryan will appear as scheduled at all of the September Ring of Honor events. Please join us in Philadelphia, Dayton, Chicago, Boston, and New York as we say thank you and farewell to a truly one-of-a-kind talent.

According to PWInsider, WWE developmental star Brett DiBiase (brother of Legacy member Ted DiBiase Jr.) was the "fan" who ran-in during the Randy Orton vs. John Cena WWE title match at SummerSlam last night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

DiBiase is 21 years old and is the other son of "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase (Sr.). DiBiase signed his WWE developmental deal in early 2009

I'm glad they didn't rehash that already several times done schtick.
It shows creative was actually creative. Which is rare for Stephs boobs. I've seen so many things rehashed from the 90s and 80s and late 70s by the WWE on tapes, it's really nice to see shit that is actually fresh. I didn't really enjoy the segment though. HHH is a huge time waster, do the fucking skit and fuck off already, attention whhhore.

Those were the fucking lamest Rated G Vegas showgirls ever.
Has USA chopped that much off the WWE's balls now?

Vince had the best line. "That mask is really gay!!"
It sounded really funny as an offhand comment coming from the old mans mouth.

As much as I slam him, he has done some great things, wrestling promoter-wise and businessman-wise... so if it really was his birthday...
Happy Birthday ya old fuck. Enjoy them while they still happen.

Orton sucks. Holy fuck is that dork BORING. 5 seconds on camara for his shitty whining and i wanted to change the channel.
If he is the future of the business, wake me when the business is over.
