That's a lot of blood!!
Put it to you this way- Whenever you start watching tonight's fights, all the blood on the mat is from 1 fight!!

I just turned it on as the fight ended....missed out on Walberg/Levitt junior getting ko'd...trying to cook and watch isn't working damn

Yep. Lotsa murder in that one. Happily, just the opposite of your call. :P

That fight was really surprising. I guess no one can doubt his power or striking now. It's crazy that he went for a crazy kick like that after clearly winning and in teh last minute of the third.

Already the injury bug hits the women- Cat Zingano is out of her TUF season, replaced by Miesha Tate.

condit vs kampman i believe is at the 2nd one on aug 28th, not the first. Fox Sports first event is in boston the week before. Good cards shaping up on there...better matches than a lot of the ppv's...

I will watch it, but have no interest in a Rousey/Tate second fight.
I was really looking forward to Zingano fight Rousey.

Ahh OK. Still, even without that fight it's a sick card.

Great interview with heavyweight Brendan Schaub on Jay Mohr's podcast. He's a funny guy. It's #163.

Pretty good card last Saturday, Werdum looks like he's the best HW grappler out there, he toyed with Nog on the. He did look kind of shitty standing and looked a little too gassed after the first. I was surprised Thiago Silva came out with a KO win over Feijao. I was expecting Feijao to possibly be a contender in tthe LHW division, but I guess not.

On another note, UFC on forx sports 1 doesn't have the Bendo match anymore, its now Shogun vs CHael.

I thought so as well. Watching submission attempts & executing submissions are one of my favorite aspects of the sport.
Werdum needs to fight one more time & win convincingly to get a title shot. He wants to wait. Bullshit!
Still not convinced with Erik Silva.
Bendo is no headlining champion. And TJ Grant is not well known enough yet. I think Grant has a good shot of winning that fight.
Like him or not, you gotta give Sonnen credit for fighting as much as he does. But then again, his last two fights haven't gone past the 2nd round.

Shit really?, that's a terrible matchup!

Shogun has no kneecaps, speed or cardio anymore, I see Chael laying on him for 3 rounds. Hope I'm wrong, but it's the most likely scenario anyway.

They should do Shogun vs Hendo again, now that's a fucking fight.

^agreed. I thought they should've had a rematch a long time ago, since I thought the fight was actually a draw (first three rounds for hendo 10-9, 4th round Shougn 10-9, last round Shogun 10-8)

Right, they should do that and have Chael fight Rashad. Chael vs Shogun makes no sense whatsoever.
Unless the hot shots at UFC want to cash in on Sonnen's verbal skills so they want to build him up again and give him a victory over a name. And what better name than a former champion with wrecked knees who can't stop takedowns?

Wow those guys are sneaky lil' cunts now arent they?

Well the fight happened like all Chael fights start- with Chael's mouth. the Lil Nog/Shogun 2 fight was called off (much to my dismay) and then Chael started talking shit to Shogun until the fight was made.

He tried that shit with Machida but nothing happened, probably because Dana knows it's a bad match up for him.
Shogun should just fight guys like Hendo or Thiago Silva at this point. The guy who could deal with a wrestler like Arona has been gone for 2 or 3 surgeries now.

Anybody care about tomorrow night's fights?
For me, not really. There is nothing on the line.
If Evans wins it means nothing because he has
not title shot opportunities on the horizon.
And Henderson, who knows what happens with him
if he wins.
The other fights? Nothing.

DAAAAAMN. I bet Pettis feels really dumb now that he's injured because he waited until an august bout to get a piece of Aldo, and TJ Grant is getting a shot at Bendo. Shoulda just waited, dumbass.

Can't believe they charged people for that. I kinda liked the Roy Nelson fight even though I was disappointed at this performance. If you have the jitz why not use them? Pat barry also disappointed me.

The main fight was a snoozer, the LHW division is total shit these days.

Not taking away anything from Jones, dude is amazing, but the more I think about it all those guys he beat have been on a steady decline for a while now...
Shogun, Rashad, Rampage etc have all looked like shit and are nowhere near the level they were before Jones came along...Hendo is old as fuck and too predictable these days, no way he'd catch Jones with the H-Bomb.

Okay Machida is still the same more or less but he had already been knocked out by Shogun so he was no puzzle anymore. Also there aren't really any rising stars the swedish kid is nothing special, I hope Bones moves to Heavyweigh soon.

Jones going hw is the most logical thing to do.
He is so young, naturally he will get bigger.
And I agree with you on the swedish kid. He has absolutely zero chance of beating Jones.
