I didn't notice... I was too busy counting up how many stars that match was earning. I lost count at about 15.

Which is incidentally the same number of weeks it's been since Snitsky brushed them as well as the same number of seconds that went into planning Punk's title reign!

And that Cena promo was pathetic. You know a character is fucked when he has to spend more time sucking up to the fans than interacting with his next opponent.

It was awful. That is the problem with today's WWE mentality. They think because someone is a face that they have to constantly play to the fans. It's way too over the top and made Cena look like an absolute kiss ass.

Shinerrox wrote:What was the fuck up w/ Cena tonight? I smell Heel turn in the not to distance future...
I think they have way too much invested in him to turn him. The guy is an absolute cash cow for them, and turning him would probably cost them millions as the kiddies aren't going to have their parents buy Cena shirts, hoodies, hats, wristbands, pillows, socks, teddy bears, pendants, flamethrowers, etc. if he's a bad guy.

That's the only reason you don't see any Snitsky merch... But once he gets that inevitable face push... Snitsky bath robes for all!

They could easily turn him right now though... and Jericho would be the guy that could pull it off for him. Just have him play up on how he's no longer trying to "save" the WWE, and have him "save" Cena.

It could be similar to Cactus Jack trying to save Tommy Dreamer back in the old ECW. Have Jericho read off Cena's list of recent injuries. Play up the fact that he rushed back from the previous injury to come back at the Rumble. Play up how he almost broke his neck and had to have surgery and still rushed back for the fans. Have Jericho ask him if spending the rest of his life in a wheelchair for the fans is really all worth it. Have Jericho ask Cena why he thinks the fans will still care about him when they show him sitting in a wheelchair in the front row as another crippled has been wrestler who gave up everything for the fans. Have him ask Cena if it's all worth it... then do an angle where Cena suffers another injury, and he starts to consider what Jericho has been saying, before eventually agreeing and siding with him.

Of course, as a heel, he could still be risking his health... but we need to overlook that one small detail to pull this off...

I think it could work... but again, there's WAAAAAAAAYYYYY too much money involved with Cena to do it. And he gets way too much crowd reaction and his current character generates way too much interest to fuck with it right now.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that former WWE and TNA superstar Tomko, 32, has signed to rejoin World Wrestling Entertainment. At last word, Tomko hasn't yet been given his start date with the company.
Tomko has improved tremendously since going to Japan, and it showed in his stints with TNA. He has the size and look that Vince loves... so I'd expect him to get a pretty big push upon his return. He's become a very good worker for a big man.

I liked the gimmick they briefly gave him where he was winning matches by knockout... would like to see them go back to that.

And I guess the other obvious thing is his connection to Christian. Pretty good sign that the Christian stories may be true if they're bringing back the Problem Solver...

My post has nothing to do with anything. I just want to say that on my downtime at work, I once again read Jericho's book and went on a youtube, so I can confidently say, that in 1998 he may have been the best heel in wrestling....ever!

Sabu wrote: I don't quite understand why they got away from that format. If anything, the traditional Survivor Series matches gave them an entire PPV where they didn't have to give up a 1 on 1 match.
The main reason they originally got away from it was having to write 50+ PPV bonus checks. It was especially a mess when they went to the 4 PPV a year schedule and writing the 50+ checks came up two PPVs in a row once the Royal Rumble started being used as the main set up for Mania. Although those original Survivor Series matches were fun, they also were done at the time when the main focus and main money came from house shows. So while you weren't giving away those 1 on 1 matches on PPV (or home video)... you were actually advertising hundreds of grudge/return matches between rivals at nationwide arenas.

And I agree Tomko could do really well back in the WWE. TNA seemed on the verge of doing something good with him around the end of last year (remember the Japan Eggdome show?) then suddenly dropped the ball and made him look foolish.

I was honestly surprised that DX wasn't #1. Was even surprised that the 4 Horsemen weren're #1 either.

Just sayin', seems like an incomplete list.

I was surprised that The Horseman weren't # 1 followed by the NWO. I'm just surprised that HHH/HBK would allow anything to do with Bret be rated above them.

I also don't like the Freebirds being as low as they are. They sure are a hell of alot better than Too Cool. Not the best, but better than alot of those on that list. I also agree on Raven's Flock. Raven is kick ass, but always seems to be shafted.

Will also agree with everyone the Horsemen should be 1.

The Hart Foundation (Bret, Owen, Anvil, Davey Boy, Pillman) was my favorite, so good on them for being #1. Vince must want something from Bret to have them #1 though...

The Horsemen are by far the most legendary of all, but nobody did to the business what the NWO did. Horsemen lose points for having Mongo and Pretty Paul Roma, and the NWO loses points for having Virgil, Stevie Ray, and Horace Hogan.

And I love the FBI and all, but #11? And the JOB Squad #13? I'll take the Triple Threat over both...

The Oddities???????

No Radicalz, No Dudley Family, No Corporate Ministry, No Raven's Nest, No Triple Threat, No Second City Saints = Me Booing!

I think Vince just flat out doesn't like or understand the Raven character. No other place besides ECW has used him right except for TNA when he first debuted. He was INSANELY popular. I remember people throwing trash in the ring at Jeff Jarrett after he beat Raven and kept the title.

He was a wrestler a few years ago. He was actually pretty good, but then he went a little coo coo! You may not have heard about it though, as it pretty much slipped under the radar in terms of media coverage.
