Did you ever meet him? Isllnders fans say he still lives on Long island and will chat it up with any fan.

Yeah, I've met him, and his family/cousins on many occassions. The local arena is named after him and he use to own a restaurant in downtown Montreal and would always come out and chat with the guests. It's been a while, but Mike Bossy sightings use to be pretty frequent around these parts. Very nice, down to earth, guy. Most of the players from that generation were.

Maybe Alice forgot that when the Pens drafted Mario he wouldn't wear their sweater because he was crying about how the contract negotiations were going. Or how he retired because of "clutching and grabbing." How he had the most fights in the league last year at the time, but cried about the beating Haley put on them.

It is hockey, of course there are fights. You are really still upset over the events of last year? Both teams were wrong, the Islanders were more in the wrong, but fault went both ways. It's over and done with, enjoy the bottom of the division for this year and MANY years to come.

Last Feb, the Islanders were out to start a brawl. Cheap shot after sucker punch after attempted sucker punch. Their goalie got knocked out in December. When he did get knocked out both goalies wanted to fight and skated towards each other, you can't fault the Penguins for that. I admitted fault to teh Penguins, but you feel the Islanders and Trevor Goonie were innocent angels. Mario was ashamed of the Penguins yet the Islanders and their ownership felt proud. Just because Cooke is on the team doesn't make it 100% the Penguins fault. With teams like the Islanders you need people like Matt Cooke.

If I was a bandwagon fan, I would be a Steelers' fan.
