1.) H. Sedin
2.) S. Crosby
3.) E. Malkin
4.) P. Bergeron - too early IMO
5.) M. Gaborik
6.) TJ Oshie - too early IMO
7.) J. Neal (my pick; I also got I. Kovalchuk on the wraparound)
8.) B. Richards
9.) P. Datsyuk (with C. Giroux on the wraparound)

I may have made a mistake in that I spread it out, as opposed to investing in 1-2 teams. I got 2 Penguins, 2 Devils, 2 Rangers, 2 Wings, a Shark, a Blue, a Canuck, and a Hawk.
Our 1st round went like this:
1)Crosby
2)H.Sedin
3)Gaborik
4)Malkin
5)Neal (my pick, with Radulov on the wrap around.)
6)Zetterburg
7)Letang
8)Ovechkin
9)Kovalchuk
10)Datsyuk
11)B.Richards
12)David Backes-waaay too early IMO but this guy is banking on Brian Elliott to lead the Blues all the way.He loaded up on Blues and we were all happy to oblige him.

I was hoping I could sneak Radulov in on a later round, but when people started taking Erat,Legwand, etc on their wrap around picks I knew I had to strike.
I usually try to predict the final 4 and load up on players from those teams. This year, with 12 people at the table,it made it harder to do,I got more spread out than I would've liked.I did end up picking a lot of Preds.
As it was,I ended up with:
James Neal
Radulov
Staal
Burrows
Suter
A.Kostitsyn
Anisimov
Chimera
Girardi
Hartnell
Seabrook
Malhotra
Bergenheim(hopefully he'll repeat his "John Druce" of last year)
Asham
Rinne/Smith as my goalies

JSR has gone out on a limb three times. He feels pretty damn strongly that Bryzgalov will outduel Fleury.

Holy shit. I just realized if the Hawks make it to the 2nd round playoffs I can technically go. I don't give a flying fuck about that team, the point is I will be living in Chicago by then. Fuck this is really happening. Holy jeez. You guys may see the most epic meltdown of all time on here.

By the looks of today's first period, Hextall is more likely to be Philly's opening night starting goalie next year. For the record, my wants/predictions on the Habs:

Should happen: VP Hockey Ops = Serge Savard; GM = Marc Bergevin (Hawks Asst. GM); Coach = Gerard Gallant (ex-Jackets, current St-John of QMJHL); Associate Coach = Randy Cunneyworth; Asst. Coach = Randy Ladouceur.

Will happen: VP Hockey Ops = Serge Savard; GM = Julien BriseBois (Bolts Asst. GM); Coach = Patrick Roy Asst. Coaches = various cronies and friends of "St-Patrick".

No, I am saying there is no bias towards any team. Sure a certain ref here and there are pulling for one team, but there is no league wide conspiracy against or for a certain team. Flyers' fans insist that the refs are on the Penguins side.

Oh...cry me a river!
It's about time someone got one back after years of league-wide bullshit at the hands of the Pens favoring league office. I'm sure the Shittsburgh fans and regular team crybabies will be flooding the internet and airwaves all day about the great "injustice" to their team. That's how it feels, pussies. :P
Bottom line: The Shittsburgh Pigeons blew the game. Total collapse after the 1st against a never say die, come from behind Flyers team. I certainly do hate playing from behind every goddamned game though. :?
Sadly The Flyers team (except for the awesome MVP of the game the ROOKIE Braydon Schenn) didn't even bother to show up 'til the 2nd.
Glad to see that Bryz was only really solely at fault on 1 of the 3 goals too.
Suck it, Shittsburgh. See ya Friday night!

NOTE: Last night, Briere > Crysby.

I'll be surprised if there's a suspension from that. The NHL usually relies on the results of an infraction rather than the infraction itself. Not saying it's right, but that's how it goes. Zetterburg got up and was flipping his lips,so don't look for a Weber suspension.

Hate to break it to you, it's not just The Flyers fans and team. Ask John Tortorella.
The Pens (Crosby and Malkin anyway) are absolutely babied by the league...just like Gretzky and Mario were babied before them.

That's Saint John btw,us New Brunswickers get offended by the other spelling
Having watched Gallant live for the past few years,it's obvious he's NHL calibre.Forget his Columbus stint,Victor Tikhonov and Scotty Bowman couldn't win with that squad.

This year might've been his best year yet however. He was without his big guns/veterans for over half the season(injuries,WJC) yet he came up with a system to go with what he had. With Beaulieu going to Mtl next season,it would be a perfect fit to have him as the coach.

Not what I said at all. Now was it? So, your point?
And star "ballerina" crybaby players ARE protected. I pointed out that it's not just Cindy and Sulkin. Again, this opinion is not reserved for Philly fans, etc.

Btw...nice little attempt at a "dig", you crushed me.

Just came here to post the that.

A terrible message?-Perhaps,but it all boils down to preferential star treatment. JSR mentioned Malkin,Crosby,Gretzky,Lemieux in an earlier post. While Weber is not in their class, his importance to the Predators is huge.If Jack Hillen does that for the Preds,he's suspended for 4 games,Weber;not so much.

If this happened in the regular season,Weber probably gets 2 games.

If Zetterberg(can't believe I misspelled it earlier) was to be injured last night on the play-Weber would probably get a game.

Suspending Weber does more to hurt Nashville than it does him at this point.

Again,not saying it's right,but it's how it's always been.
