Suspending Weber does more to hurt Nashville than it does him at this point.

Again,not saying it's right,but it's how it's always been.
With everything that's going on with Toews and Crosby and the head injuries, Shanahan basically just said if you got $2500, go fucking Hulk smash. Concussions end careers and shorten lives. Eric Lindros still isn't right.

Saying Pitt gets no favoritism is sticking your head in the sand. It's clear as day.

On Montreal sports radio today they were talking about the ridiculous fine system in the NHL. They gave Weber's salary, I don't remember what it is off the top of my head, divided $2500 into that, and were quickly able to deduce that for someone making $50,000 the equivalent would be a $16 fine. How fucked up is that?!

He's in the lineup tonight between Kane and Hossa.

That wasn't worth staying up late for.

At least the Bulls won.

Royal, I don't think the Canucks are going to survive this first round. Does anybody else have this feeling?

I find the fact they suspend tough guys, role players, average players, shitty oplayers and goons, but when a superstar does something they overlook it. How do you preach concussions all year, then let that fly.

And the Preds are my second favorite team, and I love Weber.

If I was a fan of either team, I'd be losing my mind. Being a neutral observer, I'm friggin' LOVING this. It's like the 80's all over again - at least on the scoreboard.

It's a shame, due to the NHL's ridiculous seeding rules, that these teams are playing in the first round.

No its amazing.
 at Pittsburgh.

So many pundits were picking them for the cup, but I thought Philly would win the series. Not over yet, but long way back for Pittsburgh now.

Some shocking calls in the Panthers Devils game.

My hope is that the Panthers at least win one game! I believe!

Teams/logos/laundry aside....

Doesn't this time of year make you feel bad for people who don't watch hockey? Best playoffs and intensity of the 4 majors and college sports bar none, no comparison.

"I hate hockey." Well, then there's a void in your soul.

Hey, at least Toews was good!
:D

The silver lining I take into tonight's game is that the Hawks were pretty bad and it still took Phoenix OT to beat them.

i guess you haven't watched him play lately. he's been the canucks best player the last month or so. had the canucks not shit the bed in games 6 and 7 against the bruins last year he would have won the conn smythe. 8 goals in 7 games doesn't win championships.

he's the only reason the 2 games against the kings were even close.

i was in home depot today and some chick said to her husband,"schnieder should start sunday." i said back to her,"where, on the power play?"

her husband gave me a high five.

So Dubi (who I am not a fan of) gets tossed for third man in ( I guess, score sheet doesn't specify)

Now wait a sec. Carkner gets 5 for fighting. Boyle, nothing since he didnt toss his gloves and basically got carjacked, ok, you fucking saw it too.

So the scoring sheet shows a (3rd man in) misconduct on Dubinsky on a fight that had one participant (Carkner) according to the score sheet. How can anyone be a third man in on a fight that has one guy get penalized for fighting?

Awesome NHL, as always. Refs fucked it up.

That said, Rangers should have won, played better than the Sens for most of it. Sens hung tight and got it done though. Anyway, best of 5 now, LETS GO RANGERS!

PS: Karlsson is a bitch, ala Mike Green.

Mike Smith looked like Charlie Brown getting hit by a liner when Shaw clipped his head. :D
The Hawks need to stop shooting to his glove side, but they go home tied at 1 game each and that is HUGE. Going home down 2-0 would have been tough.

I hope he's okay, but I gotta ask. How was that a penalty on Shaw? Is he not allowed to go after the puck when the goalie is that far away from the pipes?
