So long Survivor Series. I'm just glad I got to see one live in Cleveland.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Survivor_Series_(2004

During today's WWE conference call, Vince McMahon said that the WWE Survivor Series title is "obsolete." He added that the title has "outlasted its usage." He said they do not intend to use the name going forward.

This past November's Survivor Series PPV did a shockingly low number. Obviously WWE doesn't think this was due to poor buildup on TV.

of all the pay per views they got rid of Survivor? just have the 5 on 5 concept, its fun, then 2 title matches, oh well

Vince thinks fans want WCW idea's for pay per views, i think not

TNA tonight! wil they do another 1.2(rounded up!).

Low PPV buys result from SHITTY FUCKING WRITING

Vince, your daughter is a fucking idiot and a shitty writer and she is a shitty head of a shitty writing team -- and Rated: PG pro wrestling FUCKING SUCKS.

Why did the WWF/E advertise kids toys like Karate Fighters when the WWF/E was still PG 13 and at times barely under Rated: R content...
When now it's Rated: G-PG at most and they advertise with teen-young adult sponsors .... what kind of fucking stupid thinking is that?

The WM card is shaping up to be just as tired, old, over played and BORING as all fuck as Survivor Series 2009 ended up, and every other fucking PPV for the past few years.

Fuck that boring shit.
I don't even seek PPV streams, I don't go to sports bars for cheapie PPVs, I don't download PPV's a few days later ... none of it is even worth wasting my time anymore. Not even for free, by any means necessary.

I sometimes watch the free weekly TV shows and still check online for various results while looking for industry news or reading PWInsiderXtra Q&A -- but actually following any or all of the WWE is a waste of fucking time and it's painfully un-entertaining to repeatedly see shitty booking repeated over and over and over, like the WWE and their 100% fucking stupid cunt writing team does best.

Vince is an industry legend, but he needed to fuck off and permanently retire at least a decade ago.

His son in law is a complete asshole and will bury the WWE within 6 months of his 'taking over'.

Can't wait!!!

I don't mind them ditching the Survivor Series name and original concept. They haven't done the original 5-on-5 matches much in the last 15 years anyhow so it was like calling the January show the "Royal Rumble" without having the rumble match!.

The main reason they cut those matches is so they wouldn't have to write out 60 PPV bonus checks!

i think i'm repeating myself
Well the reason I am asking is because Christian said one thing Monday, then the next day on ECW the general manager said another thing. So I am confused.

Oh and by free agent I mean they are free to go on any show in the WWE lineup.
dude, you're a mark. i know what you mean by "free agent". a true free agent would be free to work for another company(tna, new japan).
vince can put whomever he wants on any show. there are no "exclusive" contracts.
wrestling is all a work dude.

it's still real to me damm it!

"A lot of fans are asking me about my future in wrestling. I will address everything at a later date. Thank you for the support. - Bobby"

I have to admit, TNA was all right last night. Hall is still a joke and has no place in a ring. Did you see him trip and fall getting into the ring? LOL

Hogan is basically a cartoon character and Bischoff still irritates the hell out of me. But otherwise it was a pretty good show...

I don't think it will matter what they call Danielson... hell they could call him Braden Cor Von... If they let him do his thing, he'll get over HUGE.

Take away what you know from the talent, and names like CM Punk, AJ Styles, Triple H, Desmond Wolfe, Samoa Joe, etc. are all pretty ridiculous names... yet haven't really hurt those guys.

And for everyone that thinks Daniel Bryan is too bland or generic... not everyone can have something flashy like Steve Austin. It took me all of 2 seconds to read his new name and get over it... it's amazing that so many people on the wrestling forums are ready to jump head first into a wood chipper over this...

Sometimes, I like to browse the WWE Website Shop CLEARANCE section just to remind myself that not EVERYTHING Vince and Co touch turns to gold..

For Example:
The Carlito Trucker Cap (not a hit)
Image
Now 70% off..

The Randy Orton PPV Action Figure (a swing and a miss)
Image
Now 66% off..

and my personal fav Flop:
The CM Punk Bobble Head
Image
Now 56% off..

In defense of the Bobble head... it DID do better than:

Yeah.. not great in the sales dept...

That was Batista's best promo ever.

He "asks for TV time" to explain his attack on Cena, then wanders around the ring silently for 5 minutes or more. Teases leaving twice, just to come back to the ring and silently drop the mic.

Didn't say one word into the mic. For him, that's a successful promo.

Monty Brown is out of wrestling though he left WWE on good terms. He had family issues and has not come back. You know WWE or TNA would take him though.

Drew McIntyre has a cool new theme that debuted on SD tonight. I'm starting to see why he's getting such a push.

The 1st 4 matches in the TNA tourny all have the potential to be good/great this Sun on PPV:
Angle/Anderson
Wolfe/Pope
Abyss/Foley
Hernandez/Morgan

If I had the brackets in front of me,I could make my picks.

Of those 8,I could see 5 getting a shot: Kurt,Ken,Matt,Pope,Wolfe.
I'm guessing it will go to Ken,since he's gonna get a big push.
This could be a great,PPV. I'm getting it.

I don't know the brackets, either, but an Anderson/Pope final could be fun to watch. Of course, they'll probably have Angle in the final and have the AARPWO run in......again.....and cost him the match.

from Sescoops

WWE star John Morrison claims to have broken his ankle at Tuesday’s SmackDown tapings, but that is not the case.

Morrison’s match with R-Truth was cut short after Morrison went down after leaping over Truth. Morrison was helped to the back by Truth, a WWE trainer and the referee.

Morrison posted a message on his new Twitter account stating:

“My ankle is broken in three places, but I’m just going to walk it off- on the flight to Quito”

To update the story – Morrison is working the Internet fans. He traveled to South America for SmackDown & ECW live event tour and will not miss any dates.

He’s currently scheduled to participate in the SmackDown Elimination Chamber PPV match on 2/21.

I think having Morrison "injured" is a lame ass story line to put on him...
I guess that will be the excuse for Jericho to whip up on him in the chamber for the win??

Bitchoff can't stay out of the spotlight can he?
The wench backing all this bullshit must be dumber than Paris Hilton.

All these older than rocks dudes are a joke... and the only way they are going to make it work is to play the OLD AGE angle..
I think they should just say "fuck it" and have a PPV with the wrestlers from different OLD FOLKS HOMES going against each other..
"Representing SUNY PINES, THE NASTY BOYS.. and in this corner, representing HEAVENS WAITING ROOM... SCOTT HALL and Some Dude with Letters n Numbers on thier CLOTHES"
People would watch that.
